Job chapter 7

We are starting at a continuation of yesterday’s blog on Job’s  response to his friends accusations of why he was going through the drama.

Job says does a man not have hard service on earth? Are his days not like a hired man? Like a slave longing for the evening shadows, or a hired man eagerly awaiting his wages, I have been given months of uselessness and nights of misery have been assigned to me.when I lie down I think, How long before I get up? My body is clothed with worms and scabs, my skin is broken and festering.

Job stops speaking to his friends and begins to speak to God, he says remember my life is but a breath; I will never see happiness again. Job goes on to say that hebis expecting to die that he can’t even sleep due to night terrors and visions

Job goes on to say why have you made me a target? If I have sinned what have I done to you O watcher of men?

He says if I have sinned why don’t you forgive my sin? I will soon lie down in the dust.

Glory to God, Job was hurt and angry yet he still asked for forgiveness of his sin if God felt he sinned, so he’s asking for forgiveness of the sins ge may have unknowingly committed against God.

Great lesson even though Job did not understand what was going on he still looked to God.

Job said in 7:11 I will not keep silent, I’m going to speak out in the anguish of my spirit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

Yes when we go through things we are allowed to get angry when we don’t understand certain things, but we take it to God, tears, anguish, pain, confusion bring it with you in his presence.

God bless you all
