Ok lets get in to the word

Job chapter 33

Verse 1-7

Elihu says to Job, listen to my words pay attention to everything I say my words comes from an upright heart. My lips honestly speak what I know.

The spirit of God has made me, the breath of the Almighty gives me life. He says to Job I’m just like you before God. You should not ne afraid of me and I won’t be hard on you.

Elihu is addressing Job he says don’t be afraid of my anger, I won’t be hard on you, God made me as he made you. We are one in the same and everything I say is from my heart which is good.

Verse 8- 11

Elihu says I have heard you say ” I am pure, and without sin, that I am clean and free of guilt. Yet God has found fault in me, he considers me his enemy he fastens my feet in shackles, he keeps close watch in all my paths”

Elihu says to Job you can speak on being clear of sin and pure and free from guilt but then you say God turned his back on you.

Verese 12-22

Elihu says to Job he is not right God is greater than man. Why are you complaining that he isn’t answering your words. For God is speaking but your not hearing him. In a dream when deep sleep falls. As men sleep in their beds he may terrify them with warnings to turn men from wrong doings and kept from pride to preserve his soul from the pit, his life from perishing from the sword, or a man in pain close to death.

Elihu reminds Job that God speaks through everything you just have to be listening. Elihu lets us believe that Job’s  situation  was a warning from God, God speaking to Job.

Verse 23-33

Elihu says yet if there is an angel on his side as a mediator to tell a man what’s right for him, to be gracious to him and say spare him from going down to the pit. I have found a ransom for him then his flesh is renewed like a child. It’s restored like the days in his youth.

He prays to God and finds favor with him, he sees Gods face and shouts for Joy; he is restored by God to his righteous state. Then he would say to man, I have sinned and twisted what was right but I didn’t get what I deserve. He redeemed my soul from going down to the pit and I will enjoy the light. God does all these things to man twice even three times to turn back his soul from the pit, that the light of life may shine on him.

Elihu says pay attention Job and listen to me, be silent and I will speak. If you have anything to say go, because I want you to be cleared. But if not listen to me and I will teach you some wisdom.

Glory to God Elihu reminds Job that God wants to redeem us and he will continue to forgive us if that means saving us from the pit, an angel being our mediator. Gods wonderful angels mediating for us rushing our prayers up to God on our behalf.

These are the days before our savior Jesus took flesh and died for our sins and became our redeemer.

When you are going through something comparing your walk with Christ  to a person who sins you have to remember just because you walk upright, doesn’t mean your any different then the person who makes mistakes we are all formed from clay. We all have the opportunity to be redeemed.
