Ezekiel Chapter 27images

verse 1-8

The Lord tells Ezekiel to grieve for Tyre, the Lord says that Tyre was beautifully made with the best of materials to build up the land.

verse 9 – 11

The Lord says that sailors came to trade merchandise there. the solders of the army consisted of men from Persia, Lydia, and Put. they hung their helmets and shields on the wall bringing a very nice view. Men from Arvad, Helech, and Gammad were in your towers.

verse 12 – 23

Tarnish traded ,silver, iron, tin and lead. Greece, Tubal, Meshech traded slaves and bronze. Togarmah traded horses. Rhodes and coastlands traded ivory, tusks and ebony. Aram traded turquoise, purple fabric, embroidered work, fine linen, coral, and rubies for merchandise. Judah and Israel traded wheat and confections, honey, oil and balm. Damascus traded wine and wool.Danites, Greeks, Kilmad traded wrought iron, cassia and calamus.Dean traded saddle blankets. Arabia traded lambs, rams, goats. Sheba, Raamah traded spices and stone, and gold. Haran, Canneh and Eden, Sheba, Asshur and Kilmad traded garments and fabric.

verse 25 – 36

The Lord says the ships of Tarshish are the carriers of the wares and they will sink with the soldiers and everyone and thing on it in the heart of the sea.tyre

The soldiers that were at shore mourned and grieved the lost of Tyre and all the wealth and merchandise that sank with her.

These verses I learned that Tyre is  small island that sold merchandise surrounded by water. When the Lord released his wrath on Tyre for taking advantage of Jerusalem when she was down, he caused the sea to swallow tyre and everything that the people boasted about. Those that put everything they had in to Tyre grieved the lost. The lessons in the study is when we are successful at something we need to give God the Glory not they thing we are successful ate it is because of God that we are able to do them and end up successful at them.
