Ezekiel Chapter 29 A prophecy Against Egypt
In the tenth year, in the tenth month on the twelfth day, the Lord tells Ezekiel to turn his back against Pharaoh king of Egypt and prophesy against him and all of Egypt. When the people of Israel went to Egypt for help Egypt left them to suffer, and because Pharoah said that the Nile was his and he made it for him self that the Lord will make the land of Egypt a wasteland and no one will live in it for forty years. After the forty years the Lord says he will bring the scattered people back to Egypt and there will be a lowly kingdom that will never exalt it’s self above all the nations. Egypt will no longer be the source thar Israel runs to but will remind Israel of their sin and then they will know I am the Sovereign Lord.
In the twenty-seventh year the Lord spoke Ezekiel and told him that Nebuchadnezzar was not rewarded for bringing down tyre so he will give him Egypt as a reward to him and his army.
The Lord tells Ezekiel to prophecy against Egypt for the king thinking he made the Nile taking credit for what God made for his purpose and the people for not standing firm when Israel needed them.
God looks at our actions are we willing to help others when they need us or when we are called on will we drop the ball letting our neighbor suffer. Are we going to take credit for works that are not of our own hands. God builds us so that when needed we can stand through a storm and sometimes he makes a shelter so that others can stand under or lean on. If your faith is built strong will you pray for or support your neighbor or will you let them fall or hurt them more. Will you be an Egypt to Israel.
At the end we see that the Prophecy against Tyre had come to pass and the Lord rewarded Nebuuchadnezzar and his army for allowing him to us them and to fullfil the prophesy against Egypt.
