Isaiah Chapter 22

I pray that as you walk today that you give God glory for all things that is going on in your life.  As we study these beginning chapters of Isaiah notice that most that of the prophecy was against those that gave themselves the glory for the great and abundance things that was going on in their lives.

Isaiah Chapter 22

A Prophecy about Jerusalem

verse 1- 25

The Lord says through the prophet to Jerusalem, why are you screaming and yelling  now. Your so full of festive celebration. Your slain were not killed by the sword in battle. Your leaders fled together and have been captured without the bow.

The Lord says through the prophet; you all were taken together, even though they had fled far away.

The Lord says look away from me, let me weep bitterly and don’t comfort me. For the Lord God of Host has a day of dread and uproar in the  Valley of Vision, a day of knocking down walls and crying out to the mountains.

Elam took up the fear, with chariots, foot soldiers and horsemen.

The word says the Lord stripped away the covering of Judah, and in that day he looked to the weapons of the house of the forest.

verse 9 goes on to say; The Lord says through the prophet that they say the walls of the city of David broken, you collected the water in the lower pool.

you counted the houses and tore down the houses to get materials to extend the city wall. But you didn’t look to his maker or have regard for the on who planned it long ago. (Give God the Glory)

So the Lord God has called you to weeping and mourning. instead you are celebrating saying let us eat and drink because we may die tomorrow.

but the Lord tells Isaiah that this sin will not be forgiven

The Lord says to Go say to the steward administrator; who are you to cut out a grave for yourself.

The Lord is about to take a hold of you and hurl you away, He will roll you up like a ball and throw you into a large country and there you will die.

The Lord says In that day He will summon his servant Eliakim son of Hilkiah, He will cloth him with the administrators rob and place his sash on him and hand  him the administrators authority. He will be a father to those in Jerusalem and to the people of Judah.

The Lord says He will then place on his shoulders the key of the house of David, what he opens no one can shut and what he shuts no one can open.

He will become a throne of honor and glory to his father’s house

This word tells us the Jerusalem was delivered by God but they did not change their ways, they were busy celebrating and living in sin, this hurt the Lord that they had not learned the lesson that was intended.

The Lord was not going to forgive them until he sends Eliakim – The resurrection of God who will become the glory and honor. Hallelujah That moment when your like ohhhh that’s why Jesus had to step down and walk this earth. Jerusalem really messed up.

This is why it’s important to see God in all things, to understand that God’s plan for us is so big, that he even planned to forgive in his anger.

okay, if you want to go to the Father and be forgive by your sins Declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord Eliakim and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead Then you shall be saved.

Find yourself a bible based church and get in the midst of so like minded people and begin you walk in righteousness.

Be Blessed
