Let’s get into the word of the Lord

Matthew Chapter 17

Verse 1-13

Jesus is transfigured on the mountain

The word says; after 6 days Jesus took Peter, James, and John the brother James Jesus led them up a high mountain by themselves.

The word says Jesus transfigured( transform into something more beautiful or elevated) himself his face Shone like the sun, his clothes became as white as the light. The word says just then Moses and Elijah appeared in front of them the word says Moses and Elijah was talking to Jesus.

Peter said to the Lord that it was good for them to be there and he offered to put up three tents one for Jesus one for Moses one for Elijah.

The word says while Peter was still speaking a bright clouds surrounded them a voice from the cloud said, this is my son, and I love him. I am pleased with him, listen to him.

The word says; the disciples heard this and they were terrified, they fell with their faces to the ground.

The word says Jesus came and touched them and said;

get up, Don’t Be Afraid

when they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.

Jesus and his disciples came down from the mountain. On the way down Jesus told them

Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, wait until the son of man has raised from the dead

The disciples asked Jesus “why did the teachers of the law say that Elijah has come first?”

The word says Jesus replied;

To be sure Elijah comes and will restore all things but I tell you Liza has already come and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished in the same way the son of man is going to suffer at their hands.

The disciples understood that he was talking about John the Baptist.

Praise God, could you imagine going up the mountain, and the cloud coming down on us? or standing there and watching Jesus Transfiguration?

As we are walking by faith, and walking toward righteousness, we should be seeing ourselves transfigured before our own eyes.

The presence of Moses and Elijah with Jesus allowed the disciples to understand that Jesus was here to fulfill the prophecy of God’s law in the words of God’s prophets.

Verse 14-21

Jesus heals demon possessed boy

The word says; that when Jesus and his disciples came to a crowd, a man approached Jesus, and knelt in front of him and said “Lord have mercy, on my son.” The man continues by telling Jesus, his son has seizures and because of his shakes he falls in the fire or into the water the man tells Jesus he brought his son to the disciples but they could not heal him.

Jesus replied;

You unbelieving and evil people! how long do I have to stay with you? how long do I have to put up with you? bring the boy here to me.

The word says; Jesus ordered the demon to leave the boy and it came out of him, he was healed at that very moment.

The word says the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked him why they could not drive out the demon?

Jesus replied to them

Because your faith is much too small. What  I.m about to tell you is true. If you have the faith as small as a mustard seed, it is enough.

You can say to this mountain ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move nothing will be impossible for you.

The word says; they got together in Galilee there Jesus said to them

The son of man is going to be handed over to men. They will kill him, on the third day he will rise from the dead.

Then the disciples were filled with deep sadness.

Remember that even in Jesus ‘s home town he didn’t do many miracles, the scripture says because their faith wasn’t much.

Miracles, signs , and wonders appear when we have even a mustard seed of faith. If you don’t believe that God can fix it because you can’t see the way then don’t expect to see a miracle.

The Lord tells the disciples that he will be handed over and killed, and rise three days later.

Verse 24 -27

Jesus pays the temple Tax

The word says; Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum. The tax collector came to Peter and asked him if Jesus paid the Temple Tax. Peter replied “Yes he does”

When Peter went into the house Jesus asked him,

What do you think Simon? Who do the kings of the earth collect taxes and fees from? Do they collect from their own sons or from others?

Peter answered “from others.”

Jesus replied:

Then the sons don’t have to pay, but we don’t want to make them angry. So go to the lake and throw out your fishing line. Take the first fish you catch open it’s mouth and there you will find  the exact coin you need. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.

Isn’t it something that the Lord knew what was going on outside this reminds me that the Lord confirms the word of his prophets and servants. Peter was willing to lie to avoid any trouble. Not noticing that his lie would’ve given them more troubles than needed.

Just as soon as Peter walked into the house Jesus addressed it. and provided a way for the words from Peter may be confirmed. this was another reminder of the tongue speaking life and death.

Now for the most Important part, if you are looking to build your foundation in faith, you can Google, download a free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans chapter 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. Begin to build your foundation of faith with bible study, fellowship, worship and prayer.

Let’s get into the word of God!!

Matthew Chapter 14

Herod kills John the Baptist

Verse 1-12

The word says Herod heard about Jesus and said he was John risen from the dead, that’s why he had powers.

These verses say that Herod had John arrested and bound because of Herod’s brother’s wife. John had been telling Herod that it was unlawful for him to have her. Herod wanted to kill John but he was afraid because the people considered him a prophet.

On Herod’s birthday his brother’s wife’s daughter danced for him and he was pleased. He told her he would give her whatever she wanted. Coaxed by her mother she asked for John’s head on a platter.

The word says the King was distressed but because of his promise and his guest he followed through.

Herod ordered for John to be beheaded, his head placed on a platter and brought to the girl. She gave it to her mother.

John’s disciples took his body buried it and then went to tell Jesus.

As I was reading the verses. I thought about all the believers that were killed for carrying out their purpose.

John did not keep his mouth shut. He saw something wrong and spoke the words of God against.

Isn’t that our jobs? To be ready to fight for God’s law. We are armed with our sword. As we see John had no problem striking with his.

If you see an eviliness on someone are you going to use your sword to destroy it? Will you sacrifice yourself to save another soul?

*These questions you should take to God during prayer time

Verse 13 – 21

Jesus feeds five thousand

When Jesus found out what happened to John, he went off to be alone.

When the people heard what happen and saw Jesus was in mourning they followed him.

The word says when Jesus saw the crowd he had compassion on them and healed the sick.

As it was getting late the disciples told Jesus to send the crowd away so they can go and buy food. Jesus replied they don’t need to go away, bring them some food.

The disciple answered; we only have five loaves of bread and two fish Jesus told them to bring him the food. Jesus told the people to sit on the grass. Jesus gave thanks for the food and started breaking the bread.

When he was done there were 12 baskets full that were left over. The amount of people that ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

I often refer to this scripture when I answer my children’s request for a friend to eat over.

It’s a reminder that we may never see things as being enough, but God says there’s more than enough

Verse 22-32

Jesus walks on water

After the meal Jesus had the disciples to get into the boat and go to the other side ahead of him

He went to the mountainside to pray. By night he was alone and the boat was a ways from him and was in the mist of heavy winds.

Later in the night Jesus went to them walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him the were terrified, they thought he was a ghost. Jesus told them to be courageous, it was him.

Peter says “Lord if it’s you tell me to come?”

Jesus told him to come.

The word says Peter started walking on the water toward Jesus, but when he saw the wind he was afraid and began to sink, he cried out “Lord save me”

Immediately Jesus caught him and said you of little faith, why did you doubt.

When Jesus got on the boat everyone worshiped him.

You of little faith, why did you doubt. We are disciples of Christ, we should be ready to walk on water because Jesus gave his disciples the power through him.

When we start to walk in power a little wind comes and we get scared. The most important part of this scripture never forget Immediately, Jesus will catch you.

Verse 34-36

Jesus heals all who touch him

When they crossed over, people recognized Jesus and brought their sick to him. Asking if they can touch his cloak, and when they did they were healed.

The faith to know that all you need is to touch him and be healed.

If your faith allows you to be healed what happens when the holy spirit dwells within you

Just a question to bring to God in prayer.
Now for the most Important part, if you are looking to build your foundation in faith, you can Google, download a free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans chapter 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. Matthew Chapter 9

Blessings everyone,

I pray that you all are doing well, and nothing is standing in your way. When we are moving in the will of God. There will be things that comes up in your life to distract you. It sometimes and most of the times will be the things that once rocked your whole foundation. Don’t let it, remember that you came out on the other side of the problem well, and you will do it again.

Matthew Chapter 9

Jesus Heals a Paralyzed Man

Verse 1 – 8

The word says that Jesus went into his own tow, and there the men brought a man to him paralyzed. Jesus saw their faith, and told the man that his sins were forgiven the word says Take heart

The teachers of the law saw this and said to themselves “this man is blaspheming.” Because Jesus knows their thoughts, he asked them why they thought so evil. He asked them if it was easier your sins are forgiven, than get up and walk? Jesus says this so we would know that the son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins.

Jesus tells the paralyzed man to get up and take his mat and go home. The word says the man got up and went home. The people praised God, who had given men this authority.

In this teaching Jesus shows us that we have the power to command, we have the authority to forgive sin. We walk around with lack of self-worth with so much power inside of us. The paralyzed man is us stuck in our circumstances we can’t seem to me because we don’t think we have the power to move out of it.

God has given us authority on this earth, to go forward and prosper, but he has also given us the gift of free will, to walk or sit. The question is what are you going to do with your power?

Verse 9 – 13

Jesus Eats with Sinners at Matthews House

The word says when Jesus left from the paralyzed man he saw a man name Matthew who was sitting in the tax collector’s booth. Jesus told the man to follow him, and Matthew got up and followed him.

As Jesus was having dinner at Matthews house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.

The word says when the Pharisees seen this they asked his disciples, why Jesus was eating with the tax collectors and the sinners?

It’s not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick.

But go learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.

For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.

This word blew my mind, let’s talk about the real. Yes, we seek fellowship and to be around like-minded individuals. Let me say this on this blog first, I am not here for the righteous but for the sinner. This scripture made me realize why the Lord named the blog from sinner to saint, it’s here for the those that are looking for God, to help those that know him but have not yet established a relationship, and for those that just want to be filled by him.

Praise God for placing us here to help each other. We cannot deny the sinner we are not better than them, we are to have mercy. I Jesus came and walked the way we should be walking then we were meant to not expect sacrifice, but desire mercy, may God have mercy on them and me.

Verse 14 – 17

Religious Leaders Ask Jesus about Fasting

The word says that John’s disciples asked Jesus why he and the Pharisees fast but Jesus and his disciples doesn’t? Jesus answered by saying how can the guest of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them; then they will fast.

Jesus says no one will sew an unshrunk patch on old clothes because the patch will pull away from the garment making the tear worse. Nor will you pour new wine in old wineskins, if they do the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskin will be ruined, so they pour new wine in a new wineskin and both are preserved.

This word is real Jesus was there to do a new thing. When he speaks about the patch he is talking about the old religious ways. If he did what they did it would be worst. Jesus and his disciples were spending as much time together teaching and learning with the many that followed. They would not mourn, there would be a time for them to fast.

When we fast, we are releasing the old a purge we are coming from the fast new, changed. When doing a new thing you can’t mix it with the old, when expecting a new blessing God isn’t going to pour it out on your old ways.

Verse 18 – 26

Jesus Heals a Bleeding Woman and Restores a Girl to Life

The word when Jesus was talking about fasting a ruler knelt before him and told him that his daughter had died, he told Jesus to come put his hand on her and she will live. (command)  Jesus got up and went with him.

The word says just then a woman who had been suffering with bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, she said to herself “ If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”

Jesus turned and saw her and told her to “take heart your faith has healed you” and the woman was healed from that moment.

The word goes on to tell us when Jesus entered the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd, he told them to go away. Jesus told them that the girl was not dead, but asleep. But they laughed at him. After the crowd was gone Jesus went to the girl touched her hand and she got up. The news spreads through the region.

The king with authority new that Jesus would bring his daughter back, the woman with blood knew that all she needed was to touch him. But Jesus said take heart, relax your worry. Your faith has healed you.

Our authority is in our faith, to know that God is real and will bring us from whatever we are coming from, going through, and moving toward. Are you walking in the power of your authority? Are you moving by faith? Are you ready to take heart?

Verse 27- 34

Jesus Heals the Blind and Mute

The word says Jesus went on from there, and two blind men followed him calling out have mercy son of David! When Jesus went indoors the blind men came to him and Jesus asked them Did they believe that he is able to do what they ask of him? they replied yes, Lord.

Jesus touched their eyes and said

According to your faith, it will be done to you?

And their sight was restored, Jesus warned them sternly make sure no one knows about this. But they went out and spread the news to the region.

The word says while the men were going out a man who was demon possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus. When the demon was driven out the man was able to speak. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.” The word says but the Pharisees said “It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons.

Our faith is the key, we serve a God of impossible so wouldn’t what he does be never before seen. My favorite saying is, if you want to see God go and do the impossible, that will be a faith walk, a walk on water. When folks don’t understand what God is doing they will typically say it is the devil it’s demonic. Remember they are not supposed to understand what God is doing through you so don’t expect them to.

Verse 35 – 38

Jesus Urges the Disciples to pray for workers

The verse starts by telling us that Jesus went through all the villages and towns techin in the synagogues, preaching the word of God and healing sickness and discomfort. When he saw the people he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Jesus said to his disciples the harvest is plenty but the workers are few. Jesus tells his disciples to ask the Lord for a harvest so we can send out workers into his harvest field.

This scripture is very important. One day the Lord showed me that we are the Trees of knowledge and we are Eden. When we are growing in the Lord being nurtured in to goodness, we have bountiful harvests. Everything that comes from us is good. Jesus had compassion for the people because they didn’t know how beautiful they could be. We don’t know how beautiful we can be. When we lack faith in God we are walking around worried about so many unimportant things. Sometimes it can be a problem only God can solve, those are the times to just wait in his presence.

Are you ready to be a worker are you ready to plant a seed for the harvest? Did you know that that can just be praying that someone gets to walk the path of righteousness? However God moves you are you ready to walk in faith, are you ready to be that tree of Knowledge that God tells you, you are? Here is your free will, you know of what is good and you know of what is evil, now you decide. Amen

Now for the most Important part, if you are looking to build your foundation in faith, you can Google, download a free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans chapter 10:9 and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. I pray that you all are moving in faith. With a sound mind in God. The word reminds us that a wise man will build his house on rock and not sand, for when a storm comes a house on sand will sink.

Matthews Chapter 8

Verse 1 – 4

Jesus Performs many Miracles

These verses are on Jesus healing the man with Leprosy.

The word says when Jesus came down from the mountain crowds followed him. There was a man with leprosy that came and knelt in front of him. The man asked Jesus to make him mclean.

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man and said

“I am willing, you are cleaned.”

Jesus told the man not to tell anyone who healed him, but to show himself to the priest and offer the gifts that Moses commanded as a testimony.

When we are walking in the miracles of God there is no need to tell it on the mountain when a person see’s us then they will know exactly what is going on. I am guilty of telling it on the mountain. I can never seem to hold what God is doing in my life. This scripture I will pray into my life. Let my healing be my testimony.

Verse 5 – 13

A Roman Centurion Demonstrates Faith

The word says that when Jesus went into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for his help. There was a servant that was laying paralyzed in terrible suffering.

Jesus says to the man “ I will go, and heal him”

The man begins to tell Jesus that he does not deserve to have Jesus under his roof but if Jesus would just say the word, and the servant is healed. The man begins to tell Jesus that he is a man of authority as well and if he tells his servants to go and do something they will go.

Jesus was astonished to her what the man said. The word says that Jesus said to the people that he has never seen anyone with such great faith. Jesus says many will come from the east and the west and take their place at the feast with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside in to the darkness.

Jesus tells the man to go! It will be done just a you believe it would.” And the servant was healed at that very hour.

We can be subjects of the word of God but it is when we move in faith that God has the power and authority to heal and fix all things is when we move toward that feast. You must believe in God’s power to be obedient.

Verse 14 – 17

Jesus heals peters mother-in- law and many others.

The word says that when Jesus came in peters house Peter’s mother in law was laying ing the bed dying from fever. Jesus touched her hand and the fever left her body and she got up and waited on him.

The word says when the evening came many who were demon possessed were brought to him. And he drove out spirits and healed all sick

“He took our infirmities, and carried our diseases.”

One thing came to my head when reading this part. We do not live in a day where people believe in miracles, signs, and wonders. We believe in a day where those that are believers doubt that they could be healed our mouths say won’t he do it and our brains say what am I going to do.

Verse 18 – 23

Jesus Teaches about the cost of following Him.

The word says when Jesus saw the crowd that followed him, he told everyone to cross to the other side of the lake. The word says a man who was a teacher of the law, came up to Jesus and said Teacher I will follow you wherever you go.

Jesus told the man that Foxes have holes and birds have nest, but the Son of man has no place to lay his head.

Another man told Jesus, that once he bury his father he will go with him and Jesus told him let the dead bury the dead and follow him.

We must be willing to understand that following Jesus may not mean stability. You’re going to have to take those risks on faith. Jesus didn’t have a place to live he was moving on faith that just like that fox had a hole and the bird had a nest that God will provide our place while we are moving forward.

When Jesus told the man to let the dead bury the dead. He may have been telling the man to follow him and live. God is like that our faith walk has us move from the things that are not of God. The man that wanted to go bury his father may have tried to put off walking in faith with Jesus. This will happen to us, when we begin to start following Jesus things will try to distract us. Remember that all things that isn’t of God does not give us life, we will have to be able to make the decision to let the dead bury the dead and live in Jesus name.

Verse 23-27

Jesus calms the storm

The word says that when Jesus got into the boat his disciples followed him and then a furious storm appeared, the waves crashed over the boat. The word says that Jesus was sleeping and his disciples woke him up saying “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

The Lord replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then the Lord got up and rebuked the storm and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and said “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey.

I have always believed that when we sleep God comes and spends time with us. Why not rest during a storm? When you rest during a storm you spend your time in faith. Not stressing about how are you going to fix it. When your faith is strong you know that God has given you the authority to tell that storm to go that it is not the center of your universe.

When we are moving in faith we cannot worry about the storm, worrying about the storm says that we lack confidence in the power of God, you cannot be a believer and doubt God.

Now for the most Important part, if you are looking to build your foundation in faith, you can Google, download a free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans chapter 10:9 and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. Matthew Chapter 4

Blessings everyone,

I pray that in this day the angels are lifting you up so that your feet will not strike against any stone.

It gets hard and confusing at times, just continue to push through and grab on to God’s vision. We may not know what is going to be standing in front of us, but what we do know is that we WILL be lifted over it.

Matthew Chapter 4

Satan Tempts Jesus in the desert

Verses 1-11

The word tells us that after Jesus was Baptized by John the Baptist, the spirit led him in to the desert to be tempted by the devil. After he fasted for forty days and forty nights he was hungry. The word says the tempter came and said

If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread

Jesus answered

It is written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word, that comes from the mouth of God

The word says that the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple

If you are Son of God, he said throw yourself down. For it is written

He will command his angels concerning you,

And they will lift you up in their hands,

So that you will not strike your foot against a stone

Jesus answered him

It is also written

Do not put the Lord your God to the test.

The word says that the devil took him to the highest mountain and said

All this I will give you, if you will bow down and worship me.

Jesus said

Away from me Satan, for it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.

Then the devil left and the angels attended to him

When we are walking toward righteousness and moving in the provision of God. We get tempted. Tempted to go back and do the things that we once have done. Tempted to step out of character. Think of Jesus who Commanded Satan to get away from him.

It’s time for us to start to command the tempter to go! And when we command Satan to go the angels will come and attend to us. Why? Because the Holy Spirit lives within us.

Jesus begins his ministry

Verses 12- 17

The word says when Jesus heard that John had been put in prison he returned to Galilee this fulfilled the prophesy through Isaiah

Land of Zubulun and land of Naphtali,

The way to the sea, along the Jordan,

Galilee of the Gentiles

The people living in darkness

have seen a great light;

on those living in the land of shadow of death

a light has dawned.

From that time on Jesus began to preach,

Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.

No matter what goes in in our lives as Christians, we learn that the most valuable information to pass on is Salvation.

Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near

This was the beginning of Jesus’s ministry be for the miracle signs, and wonders it was repent.

What the Father has already put in place will come to pass. What the father has already meant for your purpose on this earth is already waiting in the spirit realm.

Verses 18 – 22

Four fishermen follow Jesus

The word says that Jesus was walking along the sea and saw Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew throwing there fishing net and Jesus said to them.

Come follow me and I will make you fisher of men

And they followed. Then he saw James and his brother John who were in a boat with their father and Jesus called to them tow come with him and they did.

As I was writing this I asked why fishermen? the Holy Spirit reminded me how patient fishermen are, how patient we have to be when ministering to people. Some will jump in the net but others will run and you will have to be patient enough to let them come on their own.

Verses 23 – 25

The word tells us that Jesus went through Galilee preaching the good news of the kingdom in synagogues, healing the sick, ill, and disable.

When we think about Jesus we think about his sacrifice, paying the ransom for our souls. But getting to know Jesus is about his walk before he got to the sacrifice. The walk that some of us struggle to walk. The faith that it takes to allow God to rule over every aspect of our lives taking nothing back that we have given him.

Faith that allows us to be patient fishermen, faith that confirms that we are servants for the kingdom of God. Faith that allows us to heal, pray, and overcome. Faith that allows us to believe that the angels Will lift us up and our feet will not strike against a stone.

Now for the most Important part, if you are looking to build your foundation in faith, you can Google, download a free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans chapter 10:9 and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. Begin to build your foundation of faith with bible study, fellowship, worship and prayer.

Be Blessed

Matthew Chapter 3

logo_2042734_web

Blessings everyone,

God is so good to us! If we are really listening, we will hear the warnings before the storm and in the storms. For those that think that God forgot about them, know that God just wants you to listen for him. At times listening to him may require others to come in and deliver a message. If you are not willing to chew and swallow (listen and think), then you will miss your instructions to how to get over that barrier.

Matthew Chapter 3

Verses  1- 12

John the Baptist prepares the way for Jesus

The word tells us that John the Baptist would go to preach in the desert of Judea during this time. He would say to the people

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

The prophecy of Isaiah came to pass through John the Baptist

“A voice of one calling in the desert,

‘Prepare the way for the Lord,

Make straight paths for him.’”

The word says that Johns clothes was made of camel hair, he also wore a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey. The people would come from Jerusalem, Judea and the region of Jordan to confess their sins and be baptized in the Jordan river by John the Baptist.

The word tells us that when John the Baptist started to see Pharisees and Sadducees coming he begin to say to them. You group of snakes, who warned you to try to get away from the wrath? He tells them to do well with keeping repentance, and not to try to say that they were sons of Abraham. He tells them God can raise children for Abraham out of stones.

“the Ax is at the root of every tree, the tree that doesn’t produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown in the fire.”

“one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry.

He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand,

and he will clear his threshing floor,

gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

After reading these verses I was stuck for a moment I begin to think about John the Baptist, about the Sadducees (group who denies resurrection). It is the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ that allows us to go to the Father clean.

Because John the Baptist, only can baptize with water and you repent, you would have to stay well in that repentance. To be a child of Abraham we go through the son of Abraham Jesus Christ. Anyone that does not come from good will be cut off. From the beginning the God knows our intents, because God knows our hearts. We can’t go into spiritual oneness with just the desire to succeed financially or to get what we want. We must go in to things with our whole heart in it. When we are not all the way there for the right reasons we will not produce good fruit.

The word says that Jesus will come and take the grain ( the good, fruitful) and blow away the chaff ( the debris, not needed) and burn it away.

Verse 13 -17

John Baptizes Jesus

The word says that Jesus call from Galilee to the Jordan river to be baptized by John. John tried to change Jesus’s will to be baptized by him. He begin to say to Jesus

“I need to be baptized by you”

Jesus told John “to let it be so now, it is proper for us to do this tow fulfill all righteousness.”

Then John consented.

The word says as soon as Jesus was baptized he went up out of the water. The word says heaven was opened, and he saw the spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said

“This is my son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

Jesus new the importance of the order, He knew the prophecy’s need to come to pass. Because John1:1 in the beginning was the word and the word was with God. John1:14 The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.

God Loved Jesus because Jesus was his son and he was pleased with Jesus because Jesus was his son.

For those that thinks that God forgot about you, he didn’t he is waiting for the protical child to return. He is waiting for you to be still and listen to all that he wants to teach you. All that he wants you to teach. Trust and believe you are not forgotten you are, very much loved. Just because he has placed you on this earth.

Blessings everyone,

I pray that you all are standing strong in your walk. When we are building our foundation on faith things come our way, stay strong in the Lord. What comes are way only last for that moment. It’s our faith that tells us God is going to make a way. We need to be ready to believe God for all the things that he has said he will do, and all the things that he has said you will be.

I Samuel Chapter 31

Saul takes his life

Verse 1-13

The word says; the Philistines fought against Israel and the Israelites ran from them, many Israelites were killed in Mount Gilboa. In this fight Saul’s three sons were killed Jonathan, Abindab, and Malki-Shua and when the archers saw Saul they wounded him. Saul didn’t want to die in the hands of his enemy, he told his armor bearer to drive the sword in him. The armor bear was afraid and didn’t want to do it, so Saul took his own life by falling on his sword. When they armor bearer saw that Saul was dead he did the same to himself. When the Israelites that were on the Jordan river saw that the Israel army had fled and Saul and his sons were dead the left their towns and ran.

The next day the Philistines found the bodies of Saul and his sons and they cut off Saul’s head and sent a message to the Philistines. The Philistines took the body and armor of Saul to the temple of the Ashtoreth and fastened his body on the wall of Beth Shan.

The word says when the people of Jabesh Gilead heard what happen they went and retrieved the body of Saul and his sons and buried them at a tree in Jabesh.

When Saul took matters in to his own hand it didn’t work out for him. Saul only wanted the Lords opinion when necessary. Saul didn’t walk a righteous life, he used the Lords like an ATM. We must be careful with this action we must be able to place the Lord in every aspect of our lives, we cannot pick and choose what the Lord can be sovereign over and what he can’t

I Samuel Chapter 29

Achish sends David Back to Ziklag

 Verse 1 – 7

The word says the Philistines had gathered their forces at Aphek and Israel camped by the spring in Jezreel.  As the Philistines were marching the word says there were hundreds and thousands of them. David and his men were at the rear. The commander asked Achish

“What about the Hebrews?”

Achish reminded them of who David was, and confirmed that David had been faith to him and gave him no reason to think that he would betray him. The word says Philistines commanders were angry and told Achish to send David back. The Philistines worried that when they got to battle. that David would turn on them to please Saul. They said isn’t this the David that they sing about

”’Saul has slain his thousands,

And David his ten thousands’?”

The word says that Achish said to David” as surely as the Lord lives you have been reliable” Achish begin to tell David that the Philistine commanders didn’t want him and he begin to tell David why?

Let me tell you, There will be some places that we are not meant to go. Let me repeat there are some places that we are not meant to go. Let’s move forward so that you know why.

Verse 9 – 11

The word says that David asked Achish  ’haven’t I been reliable?’ and Achish assured David that it was not him who didn’t want him there, but the commanders of Philistines were not happy with his presence.

The word says David then went back to the lands of the Philistines in the early morning, and the Philistines went to Jezreel.

I’m going to say this, there are places that we can go, and there are places that we can’t go. The Lord will shift you at the right time. Remember the Lord said to David don’t touch his anointed (please see other chapters 24&26). Now let’s say that David ended up going with the Philistines and he killed Saul by accident, their will go his obedience his instruction was to not touch the Lord’s anointed.

At times, we know we are not to be in a place, you know because it will trouble your spirit. Be ready to move when someone says I love you, but you can’t be here right now.

1 Samuel chapter 19

cropped-logo_2042734_web.jpg

Blessings everyone!

I pray that today is going well for you. There will be times that the Lord cuts you off from all things that you think are good. Take your time and go to Him in that time. When God is trying to get our attention everything that you think is good will not go through, take some time in pray and in the word. Romans 1:17 says “For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written the righteous will live by faith”. When things are not going the way you expect, stand on your foundation of faith and know that you walk by faith and your steps are by instruction, get in to your word and wait on instruction. Saul did not have patients to wait and he started adding himself to the instructions, he ended up being rejected as king. When we start adding ourselves in we stop following instructions, and we ignore faith.

1 Samuel Chapter 19

Saul tries to kill David

Verse 1 – 11

In these verses the word tells us that one day Saul told his son Jonathan and all the attendants that he wanted David killed. Jonathan loved David as himself so he went to David and told David that Saul wanted him killed. Jonathan told David to go hid the next morning and he will go and talk to Saul.

When Jonathan met with Saul he asked him, why would he kill David? a man that brought so much good for the people. Jonathan spoke highly of David so high that Saul made an oath that he would not have David killed. When Jonathan finished speaking with Saul he went back to David and let him know how the conversation with his father went.

When a war had come about David went out to fight with a strong force, that made the enemy flea. The word says that when Saul was sitting home an evil spirit from the Lord came over him, he went to attack David who was playing the harp, but David eluded him and the spear went in to the wall.

As I was reading these verse’s I thought about a saying forgive them for they know not what they do. This is an example, riddled with jealousy (evil spirit) Saul was ready to go back on his word. The devil is a liar, what comes out our mouth we should stand by. Any emotion that makes you take back a promise (Oath) is nothing for good especially if the emotion is jealousy. Saul was willing to go back on his word to his son. Jealousy came about and made him want to kill the one man who was fighting and defeating his enemy by the grace of God.

Verse 11 – 24

The word says that Saul sent men to David’s house to watch and kill him. Michal David’s wife (Saul’s daughter) help David escape out the window. When the men went to get David, Michal told the men that he was sick in bed. Saul told the men to bring David and the bed so that he can kill him. When the men brought David’s bed to Saul there was an idol and some goats hair. Saul asked Michal why did she let David (his enemy) get away. And Michal answered David asked her to help him get away.

The scripture says that when David got away he went straight to Samuel at Ramah and told Samuel all that was going on with Saul. Word got back to Saul and he sent men to Ramah to capture David but those men were over powered by the spirit of the Lord and begin prophesying. This happen three times and then Saul decided to go himself. When Saul got to Ramah he was over powered by the spirit of the Lord, Saul stripped of his robe started Prophesying in the presence of Samuel. The word says that Saul lay in position all day and night prophesying.

Amen! When the Lord as purpose over your life nothing and no one, nothing and no one. We see that every time Saul tried, the lord blocked. That’s what we have faith in that the Lord will block any attack of the enemy will be worked out for our good. Saul thought it would be best to have David married his daughter, it will be easy to kill David with him being so close. Not the case what Saul thought would be an easy kill the Lord made in to an escape. Michal was no doubt set up by Saul to be able to go in and kill and destroy David. The Lord made sure that David had a wife who Loved him feared God. When the enemy puts traps know that God has already found your way out. If you can’t see your way out try to stop looking through your own eyes and ask the Lord to show your spirit which way to go.

Now for the most important part, if you are looking for the first steps to building your foundation of faith. 1 Samuel Chapter 18

Saul’s jealousy of David

Verse1-7

This chapter starts off letting us know that Jonathan (Saul’s Son) loved David as he loved himself. Jonathan made a covenant with David and gave David his tunic, sword, bow and belt. Saul kept David with him and didn’t let him return to his father’s house. The word tells us that whatever Saul sent David to do, David did it with success. When the men returned and David had killed the Philistines the women ran out sing a song that stated that Saul killed thousands and David killed ten thousand.

These verses show us that when we love another person as ourselves our unselfish acts brings blessings to the person. Jonathan who loved and obeyed the Lord, saw the spirit of God on David and loved David as well. When we love our neighbor, we look for God to do great things in their life, we give our support as much as we can. David was walking in his purpose as some of us are. What happens when that person comes along and you see them and they are doing well at in their purpose. Do you get jealous? Or do you bless them with what you have to help make it better and watch them flourish with love and admirations. When we are building a sound foundation in faith we know that to be jealous does not show faith that you know you were in the right place to pass the blessing for that person.

Verse 8 – 16

Scripture tells us that Saul had gotten jealous after hearing the song from the women. He felt as if nobody cared about his thousands, because they are singing that David killed ten thousand. He felt what else was there for David to take from but the kingdom. Saul decided that he would have to watch David. The word tells us that Saul watched David with a jealous eye.

The word says that a jealous spirit had come over Saul and he began prophesying while David was playing the harp. The word says that Saul tried to kill David twice but David avoided the chances. Saul was afraid of David because he knew that the Lord was with David but had to gone from him, so he sent David away to charge over a thousand men, and David led the men in success. When saul saw that Davis was successful he was more afraid, but Israel loved David because he successfully led them in their campaigns.

This part of the Chapter shows us that even when someone wants to set you up for failure, when God is walking with you it will not work. David wasn’t worried about Sauls feelings he was concerned with being pleasing and doing a good Job in showing how good God’s people are, so that they will know that He is Lord.

Verse 17 – 30

The Scripture says that Saul offered David his oldest daughter in hopes that Davis would become consumed in marriage that the Philistines would overtake him. David refused Sauls oldest daughter saying who am I that I would be the son-in-law of the king. When the time came Saul’s oldest daughter married Adriel of Meholah.

Saul finds out that his other daughter Michal was in love with David he sent his attendants to tell David that Saul was pleased with him and they would like for David to become Saul’s son-in-law. David responded by telling the attendants that he was a poor man it’s a big thing to be the kings son-in-law. When the servants went back to tell Saul, he sent the message to David that all he wanted was a hundred Philistines foreskins, to take revenge on his enemy. When David heard this he was pleased, he gathered some men and brought the foreskin of a hundred men back to Saul. David married Saul’s daughter and Saul had feared David knowing that the Lord was with him. Saul had made David his enemy for the rest of his days. David continued success when going out to battle the Philistines he did better than all the kings officers and had become well known.

When God is with us in what we do we learn that it is the Love and support that keeps us moving. There will be people placed to discourage you and looking for you to fail and fall but if you are willing to walk in a pleasing way to God in your journey they will see that He is Lord and He walks with you. In a foundation of faith, we cannot look to those that are trying to discourage us or setting us up for failure their acts will be revealed in time, it’s important to move forward in Love. God will put both in your life you will have to discern your choices. When discerning your choices have faith that God has already made it alright. In this scripture, it shows up that what the enemy tried to us for David’s distruction God made it a blessing.

Now for the most important part, if you are looking to start building a sound foundation of faith.
