sometimes we have to shut our mouths

Blessings everyone,

I pray that you all are well and moving in the things that you’re called in. It’s been a while and I do apologize, I have been building other rooms in the foundation. I have been blessed to have been able to build and establish other outlets to push out the word of God.

As I was writing my thrive weekly schedule God started to give me instructions on comeback to the blog. I’m actually pretty excited because it pushes me to study the word of God and go deeper. I won’t keep you to long but welcome back if your coming back. welcome if your new to Journey in praise Bible Study. Please see the about section to learn who I am and what I do, you can also find the outlets to reach me.

Luke Chapter 1

Chapter 1 takes us to the preparation of the birth of Jesus. Before the birth of Jesus there was a first step. It’s important to understand that we first have to go through the building portion. As a disciple of Christ I learned that God is strategic in all the things He does. Before the big thing we must go through the first step. first he created light, John came before Jesus. I’m sure that there are something in your life that God put in a strategic order and at this moment the Holy Spirit is showing you exactly what that thing is.

Before Mary was impregnated with Jesus her cousin Elisabeth was pregnant with John. now we know that John baptized Jesus so of course he had to be the first .

The beginning of Luke tells us that the angel Gabriel came to Zacharias who was a priest married to the daughter of Aaron ( Moses brother). Zacharias and Elisabeth were righteous before God which means that they loved, respected and honored God. Gabriel tells Zacharias that his wife Elisabeth was going to get pregnant at her old age and name the child John. Now we know that this can happen because we know that the Lord did this first with Sarah and Abraham. let me add this detail that Elisabeth was barren.

Gabriel told Zacharias that he and his wife was going to be given a son. The word tells us that John would be filled with the Holy Spirit from the womb. Luke 1:15

Now Zacharias did not believe Gabriel he found it hard to believe that his wife was going to get pregnant she was well past child baring age, she was barren. Because Zacharias did not believe Gabriel, Gabriel says to Zaharias that he’s going to make him dumb. Zacharias could not speak.

There was no telling anyone what the angel Gabriel had said or when he had visit Zacharias had to keep his mouth shut. Sometimes God gives us something that we have to keep our mouths shut about. somethings seem so unbelievable that our tongues become twisted. we can’t tell someone because we can’t believe it.

The word tells us six months after visiting Zacharias Gabriel visited Mary in Galilee. the word tells us that 8 days after John was born he was circumcised and they were getting ready to name him after his father and Elisabeth said that his name would be John, when they went to Zacharias he was able to speak and started praising God.

. This chapter makes me think about the saying moving in silence. Zacharias didn’t go around writing on his tablet what Gabriel told him nor did his wife repeat it. In this day we have that habit of talking too much. I’m guilty of this one as well.

Somethings are between us and God. Zachrias and Sarah’s story is an example of how we should be handling the babies that God has given us.

In Prayer God shows you a vision

we Write it down

we speak on it to everyone

This makes room for others to put there mouths (negativity) on what God has given you.

okay what God has for you is for you, BUT when you allow others in, you allow them to influence your thoughts and your prayers they begin to put you in a place of wavering faith.

Can I tell you we should be spending our pregnancies in silence, we should be waiting to open our mouths after we give birth. All they can do is praise God

Did you catch that? They begin to praise God for what he has done in your life Miracles signs and wonders!

Jonah Chapter 3

Blessings Everyone!

I pray that you all are being Obedient in what thus says the Lord our God concerning you.

This third chapter in the book of Jonah had me realizing a thing or two about how big our brains make things seem. We will talk ourselves out of doing something great in a micro minute, just because fear jumped in. That feeling of being unworthy can choke the life out of your purpose.

I can only assume that it was fear of something that kept Jonah out of Ninevah. He might have feared that no one would listen to him or he could have feared being over turned by the wickedness. That fear took him straight in to disobedience right into the belly of the great fish.

To the followers thank you for your fellowship and support. If you happen to have been scrolling and came across this blog Welcome! Here we fellowship and enjoy the word of the Lord. Jonah Chapter 3

Jonah goes to Ninevah

The chapter starts off by saying; The word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time. The Lord told Jonah to go to Ninevah and deliver the message He game him the first time.

This time Jonah was obedient. The word tells us that Ninevah was a very large city and it took three days to go through. On the first day in Jonah began proclaiming what the Lord said which was in forty days the city of Ninevah will be overthrown.

The people of Ninevah believed God, they started to fast and put on sackcloth from the youngest to the oldest, from the richest to the poorest.

I couldn’t help but notice all the trouble Jonah caused himself, being in the belly of a great fish for three days and three nights and his task was so easy.

We are just like that, God gives us an assignment and we run from it. we keep running into barriers, we find our =selves stuck in the tornado’s of crazy life lessons. Then we find out the thing that we were so afraid of the thing that the Lord had shifted us to go wasn’t that bad, it was actually the easiest thing to do.

For Jonah the people believed the message he had from God, they went right to repenting and mourning.

verse 6-10

The word says when Jonah’s message reached the king. The king took off his robes and put on sackcloth, the word says that the king sat down in the dirt. The king issued a proclamation;

Everyone and thing is not to eat or drink anything. Everyone should be covered with sackcloth and everyone should be in fervent prayer. The king proclaimed that everyone was to loose themselves from their evil ways and violence. He told the people to hope that God has compassion on them and that they will not perish. The word says that when God saw their action and how they turned from their evil ways , he relented and didn’t bring them the destruction that He threatened them with.

We serve a forgiving God, the Lord sent Jonah with a warning. Even though Jonah was disobedient he still ended up being reminded of the assignment over his life.

Because Jonah walked in his assignment people lived, lives were spared and sins were forgiven.

No matter ho you feel about a person or a people, your main concern should be what God has called you to do. What you have is set up to save someones life.

Listen! if you know that you have a purpose on your life, if you have a feeling like there is something is calling you, it’s time to get instruction from the creator . Turn your bible to Romans 10:9 Believe in your heart and with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and died for our sins and on the third day God raised him with POWER that you shall be saved.

Jonah Chapter 2

Blessings everyone!

I pray that you all are doing well today, did you enjoy chapter 1 today? We left off with Jonah in the belly of the fish. Have you thought about a time when you were forced to take the consequences, what did you do? Sometimes our backs can be pushed against the wall and all things, all fingers will point toward us. Can you say, hey it is me I am wrong! I’m realizing that Jonah did not deny or hide when it came time for his moment of truth. As a believer one thing that I have learned is God just wants us to admit our wrongs.

To the Followers thank you for your support and fellowship! If you happen to be scrolling and came across this blog welcome! If you enjoyed the bible study don’t forget to follow so that you can get notification of new blogs. Let me introduce myself!

Let’s get in to the word!

This chapter shows us that even though Jonah was in the belly of the fish, he had to give God the Glory for his life.

Verse 1-5 Jonah says he cried out and God heard him from the belly of hell. he was cast into the deep sea, engulfed in currents, with seaweed wrapped around his head.

Imagine being in Jonah’s position. what could you do but pray. your in the belly of a fish, you know what got you there , you actually suggest to be thrown in the sea.

Sometimes we find ourselves in sitiuations where we walked right through the wrong door. some of us have found ourselves lacking in finances because of poor spending habits. some of us have found ourselves fired from our jobs because we didn’t get up and go to work. whatever it is the outcome is your big fish.

verse 6-10

Jonah speaks of when he lost hope when his soul fainted, when he couldn’t take anymore, when he was overwhelmed that’s when he remembered the Lord. Jonah remembered and proclaimed that he was the sacrifice to God and that his salvation is from the Lord,

We can find ourselves with 2 million things to do, it’s when we put God first and give ourselves to God we see and understand that it is God who is going to release us from that hold. WE CAN NOT RUN FROM GOD. WILL YOU BE THE SACRIFICE?

Amen

Listen if you are saying ” I want to sacrifice myself give my life to God. Turn your bible to Romans 10:9 Say with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and on the third day God raised him in Power than you shall be saved.

Jonah Chapter 1

Blessings everyone!

Yes it has been awhile since I sat down and wrote a blog. I missed it so much! I have been doing this blog for so long that it feels weird when I am not studying to write. When it was put in my spirit to write on Jonah I jumped to the task. The lessons learned from Jonah are powerful lessons when it comes to purpose and fear. one of the things that the Holy Spirit ministered to me was ” You can’t run from God.”

To those who Follow this blog thank you for your fellowship! If you are new to this blog, Welcome! If you enjoy the study please follow so that you can get notification of new posts. Let me introduce myself!

My name is Wilhelmina Lundy and I am A servant of God, Some of the ways that I serve God is by being the Founder of Journey in Praise, the Author of Service in Glory and Building a Foundation of Faith. I serve as an intercessor and Prophetess of God, You can find me on Facebook for the Verse of the day and Periscope and YouTube for Journey in Praise Reflections. Alright lets get into the word!

The word says that Jonah was sent to go to Assyria and call the people to repent. The word says that Jonah ran and went to get on a boat. Jonah was not trying to be apart of dealings with the Assyrians he had no desire what so ever, he was willing to be disobedient for it.

He found a ship going to Tarsish and he paid to get on it. The word tells us that as Jonah was on the boat the Lord sent out a great wind, troubling the water. The water was so strong that the men on the boat was afraid the boat was going to break.

The word says that Jonah just went to the side of the ship and lay down and went to sleep. The ship master asked Jonah what’s your intentions , sleeper? Get up and call on your God.

The word says that they decided to cast lots to see whose fault it was that they were dealing with the danger and the lot pointed to Jonah ūüėĮ They asked Jonah “Who are you?” Jonah responded; “I am a Hebrew ; and I fear the Lord the God of heaven which has made the sea and dry land”

The word goes on to say the men were exceedingly afraid. Jonah tells the men to cast him into the sea, he tells them that it was his fault that the sea was troubled. The men cried out to God ” we beg you Lord, we beg you let us not die because of this man.”

The word says the men threw Jonah into the sea and the water calmed. The chapter ends by telling us that God had a great fish prepared to swallow Jonah. Jonah was in the belly for three days and three nights.

Here it is, we serve the God, who is the creator of all things. In verse 9 Jonah says I am a Hebrew and I fear the Lord of Heaven which hath made the sea and dry land. It’s important to know who and whose we are. As the children of the creator of this Earth, if you don’t know who you are, you can easily fall for the tricks of the enemy and his schemes.

In verse 12 Jonah said to the men take me and through me into the sea, and the sea will calm for you. Jonah told the men he knew he was the reason the water raged. When you fear the Lord you don’t fear the what if’s, Jonah was welling to take what he had to take for his disobedience. He was willing to deal with what the Lord had for him.

Once the men decided that Jonah had to go and threw him off the boat the water calmed and Jonah sat in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights. Sometimes God will sit us down just so that we see what we need to see, just so that we can hear what we need to hear.

Amen

Listen! If you are running and desire to be in the presence of God turn your bible to Romans 10:9 Believe with heart and say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and died for our sins and on the 3rd day God raised him from the dead and he got up in Power for our sins. You shall be saved.

Start studying the word of the Lord, find yourself a bible based church and begin fellowship with like minded people. but most important enjoy your Journey in Praise.

Run the Race!

Blessings Faithwalkers

I pray that you all are walking upright and Blameless!!!

I have been deep into the study of righteousness and was waiting on , instructions on the blog.

Can I be transparent for a moment? It has been a task trying to adapt to the new format of the blog. For a couple of years now I have been doing bible study here on this platform. At this moment in time, I’m just led to talk and share what I’ve learned and I sit here wondering what to say. The Holy Spirit is saying, type about your lesson learned talk about your milestones crossed.

Next to me is a lesson on praise in our righteousness and on the tiltle which will probably be changed it reads the same thing. yet my spirit is not in a teaching moment it;s in a sharing moment .

I guess what I have learned this week is that, this is not my blog, this is not my ministry, my plans are changeable. When we say, I am your vessel Lord use me, expect to be used when ever and how ever He sees fit.

This weekend I completed 40 days of devotionals from my book Service in Glory. I was able to witness the 2 followers have breakthroughs in their lives. that’s what this walk is about. to help our neighbors get to where God wants them to be. assist in the journey.

The Holy spirit is showing me a vision of a person running a race and people standing on the sideline with water, medics ready to repair and ice down an ache.

That’s what help does! As we are running toward God’s purpose for our lives. The water is the word to get you through when your throat is dry from panting in fervent prayer and praise, a medic for when your spirit has been broken, your faith tested. Support to cheer you on the way. Some are there for you and others are there to watch you. Never the less your position is to focus on finishing, you can’t give up even if you have to finish the race on your knees. God wants you to know that He will carry you the rest of the way as long as you are consistent.

The works of our hands are all for God’s Glory Psalm 51:13 tells us that we work and move in purpose so that sinners will turn back to God. They will see our light and move forward. We are drawn to the light when we are stuck in Dark places.

Be Blessed

Listen , If you are stuck in a dark place and desire to be illuminated by the light of God say this prayer.

Lord God ,

I am but a sinner in this word, I do be leave that you have placed me on this earth for your will and your purpose, I do believe in my heart that Jesus is LOrd and came down from his throne just so that I can be seen by the Father. I declare with my mouth That Jesus died for my sins and rose in three days with power, Lord forgive my trangression and iniquities and wash me of my sin whiter than snow so that I  can be a light in this world in the name of Jesus, Amen

Sinning Ain’t Winning Part II (Psalm 51)

Blessings Everyone,

I pray that you all are working on and walking in righteousness! It may at times be trying for us, but it is important that at trying times we walk in 1 John 3:7 and not let others lead us astray. we must keep in mind that we need to walk right as Jesus walked right. we are to focus on looking like God, being his image.

let’s talk about Psalms 51. Yesterday the Holy spirit led us to the scripture of cleansing. In 2019 I’m sure you have heard a lot of people talk about Deliverance, when we go and ask God to Deliver us from things that are attaching itself to us, the first step is to ask God to cleanse us.

We say; Lord have Mercy on me~ have compassion for me, your love is right on time. and then we ask God to take away our transgressions. Knowing that God wants us to spend sometime with Him so that He can teach us and speak in to and through us, He waits for us to come to Him and say Father I keep messing this thing up, nothing seems to go right.

I go left and the door is closed I go right and something is in front of my path, Lord I don’t have the strength alone to move it out of my way. The Lord begins to show us the things that we have allowed to clutter our path from Him. These are the things that we begin to put before Him, making them our idol.

Once we begin to see, the things we have done, we ask God to wash us of our immoral behavior; our wickedness. we ask to be cleansed because we now know better, so now we ask for the help to do better because we know our transgressions are always before us.

the Psalm reminds us that we sin only against God, and God can only judge us. we acknowledge that we are born with a sinful nature from the time that we were conceived; yet God desires us to be faithful from the womb. (mother’s pray with your babies in gestation)

We have faith that when the Lord cleanses us with hyssop we will be clean. When the Lord washes us we will be white as snow. e believe that the Lord will create in us a pure heart and a steadfast spirit. We ask the Lord not to take us from His presence or take the Holy spirit from us.

Now after the Lord has cleansed us and we have been washed from our sins and changed into white garments Zechariah 3:5 then comes our righteous walk.

Psalm 51:13 Tells us that once we are cleansed, we begin to walk as teachers to sinners. God will open our lips and we will sing his praise.

We learn from this study that once you are free and cleaned of your transgressions, you start to win. You begin to teach others and help them come to the Lord for a cleansing of their sin. It’s important for us to pass on what we have learned Jesus told the disciples to go out and do this Matthew 28:19.

If you are ready to stand in position in your purpose Pray with me!

Heavenly Father

Thank you for your Love and Grace, Lord God wash me of my sins, purify me God, create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit with in me. Lord I declare with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I believe in my heart and spirit that He died for my sins and on the third day rose in power. Father God Thank you for Salvation In Jesus name Amen

Welcome into the family of God, May God bless your Journey

Be Blessed

Sinning ain’t winning Isaiah 64:6

Blessings Everyone!

I pray that you all are working hard at walking in righteousness. It’s important for us to stand on our foundation of Faith and trust in the Lord with all out heart. our righteousness is canopied by our faith. our faith in our Prayers, our faith in our praise and our faith in our walk.

Let’s get in to Scripture!

Isaiah 64:6  – But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

The topic for this blog “sinning ain’t winning” comes from the Holy spirit teaching me about the righteous walker, the servant of God speaking God’s word and sinning. They will have to go before the Lord for judgement.

When we walk in righteousness we are to obey the laws of God. some have made the statement “when Jesus came from his throne died, rose and ascended he washed us and the commands have been taken away.” Not true! lets try our best not to adlib the word of God for our own personal purpose. Matthew 22:38 -This is the first and greatest commandment in the Law. Look at the word is used in present tense if the Law was over the word used would be Was.   Let us also remember that Jesus was with out sin because He himself lived His life by the commands of the Law.

Now what he did do was add another one that was really there in the first place. which is Love your neighbor as yourself Matthew 22:39 here’s why I say it was already there commandments 5- 10 has everything to do with loving and respecting your neighbor. Glory be to God! for assigning us help and to be helpers. Let’s get back to righteousness and sinning.

So when we are not respecting each other or putting God first that means; spending more time with Him then we spend with our TV’s; being obedient to the appoint time of fellowship that He assigns with you (for some of us that means rising at 5 am); watching how we speak ( the power of Life and death) and following the commands. when we are not following the commandments we become filthy and start to look like Joshua when he went before the angels of God in Zechariah 3:1-5

Zechariah 3:1-5 tells us that the vision showed Joshua before the angels of the Lord filthy and satan at his right side to accuse him. my question to you righteous Man/woman are you willing to let Satan stand at your judgement?

The filthy rags is symbolic to our righteous acts while we are in sin (Isaiah 64:6) now that this word was brought to light and you have been admonished are you willing to ask for forgiveness and start to stand in Zechariah 3:4-5.

If you are ready for a change and God to assign for your garments to be changed, let’s go to psalms 51:1 -12 we ask the Lord to forgive us of our sins and iniquities, we ask the Lord our God to wash us white as snow with hyssop, we ask the Lord our God to hide his face from our past sin and blot out all of our iniquities. to create in us a pure heart and renew a steadfast spirit with in us. We proclaim with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and we believe with our hearts that he died and in three days rose with all power, we give thanks to the Lord our God for our Salvation in Jesus Amen

Glory be to God for those who have read and agreed with their hearts welcome to the family of God. I pray that this word helped you all to understand why it is important not to allow the things of this day to hold you from what God has ordered over your life.

Join in tomorrow we will continue to glean on righteousness and cleanliness we will be jumping into the psalms 51

Be Blessed!

Isaiah Chapter 27

Deliverance of Israel

The word starts out telling us the Lord will punish with his powerful sword. He will slay the Leviathan the monster of the sea. (The Leviathan description can be found in Job 41:13, it says the scales are so close it cannot be pierced through)

The word speaks of a fruitful vineyard where the Lord continually water it, and guard it day and night, so that no one may harm it.

The word continues to say that the Lord will be the refuge; as long as peace is made.

Isaiah goes on to say that the Lord says that the people of Israel will bud and blossom and fill all the world with fruit. They will be forgiven

When Israel make all the alter stones (of the pagans) crushed to pieces. The word says the fortified city (The strengthened city) will be left desolate (deserted). Branches stripped and bare, the twigs dried that they will be used for fire. Isaiah says this is a people without understanding (lack knowledge) and so their maker has no compassion. This verse will continue by saying their creator will show them no favor.

I haven’t done this in a while, let me butt in. when we are not continually searching for answers, studying the word and trying to hear, and seek God, we become a people that lack understanding, when we lack understanding we lack knowledge. In Hosea 4:6 the word of God says my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge. I also reject you as my priest; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.  Confirmation.

The Chapter ends by saying that Israel will be gathered up one by one, a great trumpet will sound, those who were perishing and those who were exiled will come and worship the Lord, on the Holy mountain in Jerusalem.

Be reminded that the Lord Our God is here to water us and protect us, he is our defensive wall, as long as we turn away from the things that is not of Him, as long as we make peace with Him, then we will blossom.

Glory be to God, If you have no desire to perish (spiritually) or be exiled and you want to get build a relationship with Our savior Jesus Christ, turn your bible, google or download the youversion free bible app to Romans 10:9, Decree with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you shall be saved. Isaiah Chapter 26

A song of Praise

This chapter is a song that will be sung in the land of Judah,

The song starts of speaking of a strong city whose Salvation is like a defensive wall, The gates open to righteous people, that live by faith.

The Lord will give them peace because the trust in Him. The trust in the Lord forever because He is the Rock of eternity.

The Lord humbles those that want to be higher than others, he is going to bring them low to the ground, and the feet of the oppressed and poor trample it down.

Jesus (the upright one) makes the way of the righteous smooth, we wait for Him and your name the son of God (Renown.

The song continues my soul yearns for you morning and night, when your judgement comes upon the Earth.

The Lords hand are lifted on High, may the people see the Lords Zeal foe his people, and be put to shame. Lord you provide peace for us and all that we have accomplished has been done through you.

We honor your name only,

The Lord has enlarged the nations.

The song ends hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by.  The Lord has come from his dwelling to punish the people of the Earth for their sins.

First let me remind you that you should be reading your bible with this blog, I paraphrase. So, It’s just snippets from the word, sometimes more than others. Okay Verses 1-4 is how we as believers should be living our lives. The salvation of God should be covering us like a defensive wall; if our souls was a castle than our salvation will not let anyone in, they should not be able to break that rampart down. That’s why we don’t come down from reading our word, prayer or worship it’s like taking the wall down.

Those who think that they are better than the less fortunate will be brought down to humbleness, the word says they will be low as the ground and the poor and oppressed will trample them. Jesus will make the path smooth for the righteous. The Lord gives us peace and, in the day, when He returns the word tells His righteous ones to hide during the time that the Lord is punishing the sinners, until it’s time to come out.

Amen

For the ones that are reading this blog trying to find a way to be in the presence of God, to be filled with peace and love, but do not know, how?
