Abram and Lot

Blessings Faith Walkers,

It’s been a while! I’ve been podcasting and have been slacking off on my first baby. I always make it back, to God be the glory. We are still in the book of Genesis and still building an illuminating light if I may add. If you are trying to connect with the Let’s Feast Podcast Click Here

Let’s not wait any further let’s get into Abram and Lot. Abram left Egypt with his wife, servants and belongings traveling back to the place where he first pitched a tent, between Bethel and Ali. This is where he first built an Alter. There Abram called on the name of the Lord. The word also tells us that lot was rich as well.

The land was not able to support the bountiful blessing that God gave to Abram and lot the resources like food and water were a minimum. The word says their possessions were to great between the too. This means everything attached to you will win.

Because the land couldn’t hold both the possession. Servants began to disagree and fight. Abram said to Lot, let’s not fight we are relatives. Separate from me. If you go left, I will go right. If you choose the right then I will go left.

Lot looked and saw the Valley of the Jordan had plenty water and so lot chose for himself all of the Valley of Jordan.

The word says that Abram settled in the land of Canaan. Lot settled in the cities in the Valley and camped as far as Sodom.

It goes on to say the Lord told Abram to look from the place he is standing northward, southward, eastward and westward. The land that he sees will belong to him and his descendants.

Can I say that the first thing that jumped in my separate was God didn’t tell Abram about this blessing until he fully separate from that thing that God wants us to separate from. Abram had to leave his family, but his still brought along his nephew.

Here’s Gods promise to Abram 13:16 God tells Abram I will make your descendants as many as the dust. And if any man wants to count dust, then your descendants can be counted.

The Lord tells Abram to get up and look at what he has given to him. Abram built camp moved his tent and settled by the Terebinths ( Oak Tree) and there he built a Alter.

Abrams Journey to Eygpt

hey Faithwalkers,

Can I say that we are getting to one of my favorite parts in Genesis. I love the story and lessons of Abram ( Abraham) Maybe because I try to walk my journey with the relationship that Abraham had with God. I’m like Change my name Lord (LOL)

It’s the Faith and trust in the relationship between Abram and God, well let me stop jumping ahead.

The word tells us that the Lord spoke to Abram, he told him to move away from his family, and the land that he knew. God told Abram that he would take him to great nations. God’s promise to Abram was that he would Bless him , and make his name great, that he would be a blessing.

I don’t know about you but I say YES GOD. that is some blessings but to be a blessing that’s God saying I’m going to bless you so big that it will over flow into someone else, and then you will be the blessing. That is an everyone attached to me wins blessings. Then God says, “I will bless those that bless you, and I will curse those who curse you.”

Here’s our first lesson, when God has your back, you get in the path of blessings and you pull others in the path along with you. This is what we learn from Abram. Here’s another thing you can get from what we just read is that, when we separate from the things that God wants us to separate from we run into an abundance of blessings.

Now the Lord directed Abram and Abram directed his wife and his Nephew Lot as well as his servants. Now when Abram was in Canaan the Lord told him that he would give the land to his descendants. At this point Abram and Sarai didn’t have any children.

God knew Abram’s heart this right here was/ is a reminder that no matter where you are in your walk, God has already put you in position. Abram wasn’t perfect but he was trusting of God. Which put him in a position of a perfect combination. You follow me?

Genesis 12:4 says that Abram departed as the Lord directed, that was faith, Abram traveled as far as the site Shechem the Terebinth which is a great oak tree. The word says the Canaanites were in the land at the time. And God gave the land to Abrams descendants and Abram did what? Yes, built an alter to honor God. It’s important for us to put honor where it needs to be. I believe ever house that my grandmother lived in had an alter to God in it. I have an Alter as well. Some may say that, that is old testament but here is the truth, somethings in the Old testament may need to be practiced while giving honor to God.

Then Abram traveled to Negev. There was a famine, and he went to Egypt. The word says when he went in to Egypt, he said to his wife, that he knew that she was a beautiful woman and when the Egyptians saw her and knew that she was his wife they would kill him. So he asked his wife to say that she was his sister.

The word says that pharaoh took Sarai for the purpose of marriage and treated Abram well, gifting him sheep, donkey, camels and male and female servants, but God still punished Pharaoh.

Pharaoh asked Abram why did he say that sarai was his sister, so that I take her as his wife. Pharaoh commanded them one there way, with his men escorting them away.

One thing that I have learned from Abram here is that , we may not understand why or what but God works in them too. We can begin to find ourselves in an unworthy posture where we may be in a place where we are not following the commands of God or even one command of God, yet God will still continue on with what He said He was going to do in your life. God is not a man that he should lie.

Receding waters

Blessed Monday Faith Walkers,

I wanted to come in and catch you a ll up on our Bible study. Now the last time I stopped in we were on Chapter 7 of Genesis and the flood had come in and cleared the Earth. We learned about the start over that God had decided to do.

Chapter 8 explains tells us that Noah had sent out a dove to see if the Earth was ready for everyone to come out of the Ark, the first time he sent the dove out it came right back, the second time it came back with an olive branch.

The olive branch, the dove brought was a symbol of peace, safety and salvation. has Jesus is for us. when we go to the father after our storms of life and the flood of tears, we go t o Jesus and reconcile with the Father.

Now after we go to the Father the raging water subsides and we began to be able to walk again. This is what has happened with the world, destruction, hurt, Sin and then we go to a washing and then reconciliation.

Chapter 8 in Genesis teaches us that we are going to have to step out and trust God to correct and clean. this chapter teaches us that there is a such thing as a start over, a fresh start, we are just going to have to thank God for a renewed spirit.

Remember that sometimes your going to have to wait until the waters receded before we step out.

I pray that the lesson for today was a blessing

The Flood

Blessings Faith Walkers,

I pray that you all experienced a great weekend. I know that I am grateful for every moment that God has given me to sit in. I’m grateful for the pick up and the do over. (Amen)

Alright lets get in to Chapter 7 the Flood

The word says that God told Noah to go into the ark with his family and he gave order for Noah for what animals to bring and how many of them to bring. God then tells Noah that in seven days he will bring the rain for forty days and forty nights that will wipe out the Earth.

The Bible goes on to say that God wiped out everything. Could you imagine being in a boat for forty days and forty nights not knowing the out come. I’m sure that Noah was wondering if God was going to do everyone or just leave a couple of people here and there.

The lesson that I received from this word is that God has set us in a trusting place with Him. we have Noah who was a righteous man, his love and fear of God, put him in an available posture. When God needed Noah he answered, the greatness didn’t matter, it was the faithfulness is all that matters.

This was another short and sweet one, Lets remember when God says go we need to be ready and faithful.

Corruption of Mankind

Blessing Faith Walkers;

Blessed day to you all, may God bless you all on today, may the already blessed word Bless your life and those around you. (May everything attached to you win.) Lets get in to Chapter 6 of Genesis.

I really Learned some new things in this chapter that I had not paid attention to before today. The chapter starts out saying that men had now began to multiply and daughters were born to men. The sons of God saw that the daughters were beautiful and desirable; and they took wives for themselves, the word says whomever they chose and desired.

God seen this and said that because Man is flesh (sinful nature) he will shorten their days to one hundred and twenty years. It also says that God said that his spirit shall not strive and remain with man forever, which means now men were not going to live until they were nine thousand years of age like Adam. The word says there were Nephilim these were men who were if I’m not mistaken the children of the daughters of men and the Sons of God or just the sons of God, I’m still going deep in the study ( Tune in to Let’s Feast next week)

verse 6 goes on to say that God was grieved about the actions of men and regretted that he made mankind. let me say this I don’t know if it’s regret or not but I do know that when my child is out of line I will get annoyed with them, and I do believe this is how God felt. The word says the Lord wanted to destroy mankind, the animals, and crawling things

The word says that Noah found favor and grace in the eyes of the Lord, Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. The Bible says that Noah was consistently in fellowship with God. The word says that Noah was blameless and upright.

In this time when the world was corrupt , job had three sons ; Shem, Ham, Japheth. the world was full of violence ( infringement, outrage, assault and lust for power) All humanity had adapted to a corrupt way of life on Earth and lost their true direction (Purpose).

God told Noah that He intended to end all, men have filled the Earth with Violence and so he will destroy them with the land. God then begins to tell Noah to make an Ark, he tells Noah what materials to use and how to how much he would need. God then tells Noah that He would form a covenant allowing him and his Family to go into the Ark, along with the animals, food. The Chapter ends telling us that Noah did what he was told to do.

What I am learning as I sat in this Chapter, is it takes just that one combination that things can go wrong. One thing that I have learned from my Father is that it’s okay to start over. Here is God saying, I don’t like how this turned out let me try it again, let’s clear the board and do it over.

We get so worked up when things don’t come out the way we want them to turn out but we forget that we can go in and do it over. We have the ability to try something new and grow what didn’t work.

Things can be awesome in the beginning remember the sons of God were falling in love and making babies with the daughters of men. This was a loving moment, a building family and what came out of it was not good. We can think that the thing that we are working on is the best of the best but if it’s not right then it’s not going to work. But the come back and the start over game will take you to the next level

The Fall

Blessings Faith walkers

I Pray that you all are doing well, standing in the midst of God. The study that we are starting the week off with is the Fall this is chapter 3 of Genesis; we are going to take the trip to a story that most of us know very well.

I am reading from the Amplified Version

Genesis Chapter 3

The Word starts off with how Crafty the serpent was, it tells us that the serpent was more crafty than any living creature of the field. We can see why Satan could use the serpent, this tells us that when we are deceitful and crafty we are willing and available vessels for Satan.

The word says that Satan says to Eve ” Is it true that God said you can’t eat from any tree in the Garden? and Eve corrects him and says well we can eat from any tree but the one in the middle of the Garden or we shall die

This was the conversation starter. Satan then responds not surely you should die? Satan continues to tell Eve that once she eats of the fruit then God knows her eyes would be opened. The word says the Woman looked at the fruit and saw it was good and then she ate of the fruit and also gave some to her husband.

We can be following instructions from God and walking straight and then someone or something will come along and cause your thoughts to just try what ever they are speaking of, or desire what every they are painting a pretty picture for.

The Word says after Adam and Eve at of the fruit from the tree of Knowledge, they realized that they were naked and sew fig leaves together and covered themselves. The word tells us then they heard the sounds of the Lord God walking through the garden.

Let me interrupt real quick; could you imagine how it must have sounded to hear God walking through the Garden. This is the moment that feels like; You’ve broken Dads favorite mug and you hear him coming in the door home from work. Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge; they were well aware that they did something wrong.

Let’s continue, the word says; that God came through and Adam and Eve hid among the trees and God Called out for Adam and said ” Where are you?” Adam answered ” We were naked so we hid.” Here is the part, that we need understanding of ; even though Adam disobeyed God, the truth still came out of his mouth. let me say this, you can be walking left but it takes truth to put you where you need to be.

God asked Adam “Who told you, you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat? and Adam said the Woman gave him the fruit and God says to the woman; What have you done? and the woman said the serpent told me to. God then asked the serpent; The Lord God automatically cursed the serpent to his belly.

God then told Eve that she will have pain during childbirth; her husband will have authority over her and he will be responsible for her.

Then for Adam because he listened to the voice of his wife over what God has said t he ground is now under a curse, it shall grow thorns and thistles and they shall eat from it, until the day he returns to the ground.

The Lord God made Tunics for them made of animal skin. God then says ” Behold the man has become like one of US, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take from the tree of life as well, and eat and live forever, therefore the Lord God sent Adam away from the Garden of Eden, to till and cultivate the ground from which he was taken.

God drove the man out; and at the east of the Garden of Eden, He stationed the Cherubim and the sword with the flashing blade which turned round and round in every direction to protect and guard the way to the tree of life.

Amen and God said never again. The fall shows us that God still shows patience with us, he still will take care of us, what we should make sure of is that we are always honest when we go to him.

The Creation

Blessings Faith Walkers,

To God be the Glory for this wonderful Thursday, it may be wonderful because I have Friday off; but for now we can say because this is the day the Lord has made. The most beautiful thing is creation. This is when you take an idea and bring it into fruition. Fruition is when your plan starts producing fruit, when it comes to manifesting your purpose ( you knew that I, Coach Lundy would mention your purpose).

Today we are reading Chapter 2, The Creation we are expecting God to show up and teach us. Amen!

We are reading from the Amplified Version!

The Chapter starts off telling us that after the Lord created the Earth He rested on the 7th day. He created our environment and a healthy Eco system so that we would survive. I am an Aquatic Hobbyist I love fish aquariums; When I get my fish they mean so much to me that I make sure there environment is exactly what they need to survive.

God did the same thing for us, which means this wasn’t going to be a temporary thing it was going to be a long run.

The word says that the Lord formed the body of man and breathed into his nostrils, the breath of life. The word then says and the man became a living being.

what a powerful breath of life, after dust came an extraordinary blessing, a cleanse , new life. This is exactly what happens to us when we start our christian walk, we go dusty waiting to be washed of our trangressions and our rebirth of a new thing.

This is also what happens when we are building, everything is just an unrecognizable vision and then we breath life into it.

We next go in to the four rivers these rivers watered the plants in the garden. The first being Pishon, this river flows around the entire land of Havilah, where there is Gold. The second river was named Gihon; it flows around the land of Cush the third river is named Hiddekel it flows East of Assyria. The fourth rivers name is Euphrates. This means now there is living waters around the Manifestation of God. now we know that most things especially living things.

The word says that God placed Man in the Garden and put him in charge of cultivating and keeping it. Now when God gives us something to do this is exactly what happens we are to start the cultivation process and we are in charge of the growth.

Now God gave Man the rules for staying in the Garden. and it wasn’t a full list it was simple, eat from any tree except the tree of knowledge of good and evil, or your certainly going to die. they had that understanding and God said; it’s not good for man to be alone, God then decided to make the Man a helper the amplified version says a counterpart who is suitable.

The Lord God put Adam to sleep and took his rib and created a mate Woman, and presented her to Adam. Adam then says this is now bone of my bone flesh of my flesh. She shall me come Woman because she is taken out of man. the chapter ends with and Man and woman was naked and the were not ashamed or embarrassed.

Amen, Amen, Amen I am so excited about this study, because of my experiences I see genesis in a different light. If we think about our walk and God’s expectations we learn that our purpose is about adding on. it’s something that is never completed but multiplied.

I pray that this has been a blessing to you, don’t forget to share and join in to the study. If you want to join in to the Let’s Feast Podcast click join and let me know you fellowship with me here at JP BibleStudy

In The Beginning

Blessings Faith Walkers,

Here it is Day one of Genesis; This is a beginning that we all should be able to open our minds to. Before I get started I would like to speak about my beginning. I started a sinner looking for more, thirsty, hungry for knowledge. I remember reading the word and getting so excited for what I had eaten. Everyday that I had read was a day that I had grown.

I am excited to be at this season of learning, where you climb to the next level from sinner to believer, from believer to disciple, from disciple to apostle and etc. it’s in the daily reading. If you have found yourself far from God or falling from your everyday believers routine this is just for you. Something to keep you in habit.

Just a quick FYI; I will be reading from the Amplified version.

The word tells us that In the beginning there was darkness that covered the whole earth, that there was nothing but water and Gods Spirit hoovered over the water. And God said “let there be light” and God saw that the light was pleasing.

That is one of the most treasured blessing, the blessing that we all take for granted, the light, light was the first thing that God saw that was good. To see the bountifulness of beauty that was in the making, with light we can manifest; you now hove a view.

Next God created a separation of water and sky; think about how clear things can get when we separate and organize our environments and our thoughts. This is a manifestation stage; if you are looking to build something in your life that would be the starting position. clarity and sight.

This is why I love going back to the beginning because you can start the blocks of the foundation by watching the originator of manifestation.

The second day God created land and vegetation, there was a place to sit and there was a place for fruition. The most important part is creating something that will multiply, that will morph into another level, greater than the first.

Now what comes from that multiplication should be good; because what comes from manifestation is good. God has shown us that from the first manifestation of light; it was good.

Now next we must affirm it and sustain it 1:12 AMP says he affirmed it and sustained it, so that’s what you are supposed to do. Your stating that this is good and it is a fact and you support that affirmation.

He then created all living things he created something, someone to move in this manifestation. we are to do the same thing, we create for people to move in to grow from to add on as God did in chapter one.

This was the first service for those that He loves. this is the first time that we seen Gods service upon us. he wanted to feed us and give us the best that he could give that was good. (Amen)

I pray that you all have enjoyed today’s study on The Beginning.

Let’s chew and swallow

Blessings everyone,

I was led to just come in and chew and swallow with you all. but first lets get to the housekeeping.

If you happen to be scrolling and came across this blog, Welcome! Thanks for joining in with us, please make sure that you share and follow. I want you to get your notifications and share with some friends. If you’re a follower welcome back! Thank you for your support, don’t forget to tell a friend.

Okay let’s jump in!

So I was preparing Luke Chapter 9 and the spirit started to share with me the lessons pf Chapter 8. The spirit started to remind me that we can’t just study, it’s important to fellowship as well.

I was thinking about my future and the things that I have been manifesting in my life and I thought back to where Jesus told the parable about the four soils.

Now you all know it’s important to be well planted and grounded into the word. It’s way more important that, the information is applied to your life. As a life coach I help my clients strengthen there faith walk toward there goals. I always, always use scripture to create the foundation for my clients thought process. Even our goals have to be firm in Gods word.

When we apply the word of God into our goals, we plant our seeds into good ground. That means we are using miracle grow. Yes you have to think of the word of God as a miracle grow. We can here it and let it go but that would be like watering your plant one day and walking away.

When we are manifesting a successful goal we have to see it, as already successful. You have to walk in it like you know that it will grow, with the expectation that your harvest is coming. Why because you trust that you planted your seed in good ground. You believe that when you created your goals dipped into the word of God, you dipped it in Holy ground.

The spirit of the Lord started to remind me of John the baptist and how he sent his disciples to see if Jesus was the one that was to follow him. The word tells us that Jesus had John’s disciples too follow him and see the miracles, signs and wonders to report back to John.

Well we are the ones that follow Jesus, what is being reported about the works of your hands? Are you applying the word and moving in your gift of power? Are you moving in your purpose with power? These are important question that you should ask yourself everyday, what is the report about you?

When we apply the word of God to our life it shows growth and development, creating something to give God the glory about.

well then it dropped in my spirit about the man who Jesus rebuked the demons from, and sent them into the herd of pigs. After the man was in his right mind and clothed he asked to follow Jesus. Jesus told him to go home and tell his family and friends how good God is.

This spoke to my spirit, what we do and how we apply God’s word to our lives in return becomes manna to the people around us. So plant in good ground, be fruitful and feed someone your harvest. in return Jesus will follow with a visitation and begin to spend sometime with them.

I pray that this word has been a blessing for you, and that who ever it is for, please take it and Manifest with power!!!

Luke Chapter 8

Women accompany Jesus and the disciples

This is good especially in this day when people still speak about a woman’s place in the church. There were women that were following Jesus learning and eating the word. Mary Magdalene had seven demons that Jesus rebuked from her, she knew she wanted to learn more, she knew that this was a gift that she wanted to learn. We are followers and as we learn we excel and that’s what happened with the women that followed Jesus. There was a married woman Joanna who was the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, that made me think. Jesus traveled all over to speak the word of God. This had to be an assignment for Joanna to leave her husband and her household to travel with Jesus and his disciples. The word says that also a woman by the name of Susanna and many others also traveled.

Jesus tells the parable of the four soils

This is one of my favorite parables, we can learn what we need to do and how we need to behave as believers. Jesus tells us that the word of God can sow by being rooted or fall from us quickly. It all depends on how we apply it with the way we live our lives. If we apply the word of the Lord to our lives then it will become deeply rooted in us and bare fruit. “They shall know them by their fruit”. You don’t want to just hear the word of God and go on about your life. Your going to want to build into greatness, in order to do that your focus should be connecting and retaining the word to take you to the next level.

Jesus describes his true family

It took me a moment because I was like that’s rude. The word says that Jesus mother and brother s were trying to gt in but they couldn’t , the disciple said “Jesus your mother and brothers are out there and they can’t get in.” Jesus answered “My mother and my brothers are those that hear the word and do it.” I was like Jesus (Clutching my pearls) and then I remembered the parable of the four soils and then I realized that when we apply the word and sow the seed we become one tree and the harvest is for the kingdom. no one is above the other, we are all one, no special treatment.

Jesus Calms the Storm

This part tells us that Jesus and the disciples had decided to go over to the other side of the lake. While they were traveling Jesus fell asleep and a storm with heavy wind came on the lake. The disciples had gotten scared and woke Jesus up in fear that they would die. Jesus got up and told the storm to calm, and it did. The word says the disciples started to wonder what kind of man was this that he commands the wind and water. They were amazed, I would have been amazed myself to see the water call after Jesus told it to.

Jesus sends demons into a herd of pigs

In this part Jesus frees a man from several demons inside him that had him living in tombs and walking around naked. He had to live this life for a long time and when Jesus came by he called him by name and fell down in front of Jesus and asked him for help. The word goes on to tell us that Jesus sent the demons into a herd of pigs and the pigs the people that saw this was surprised and went out to witness what they saw. when they returned they found the man with Jesus clothed and in his right mind. The man that was healed wanted to follow Jesus but Jesus told him to go home and show the great things God had done for him.

My spirit is leading me to say, some of us are led to minister and some of us our led to show Gods miracles signs in wonders. I want to say that sometimes it is just a healing in your healing and your testimony that God shows someone his awesomeness.

Jesus Heals a bleeding woman

I know you hear this one a lot, the story of the woman with the issue of blood. The scripture tells us the woman spent all her money with doctors and not a one could tell here what was wrong with her. Now Jesus was coming through her town going to visit a twelve year old girl who was dying. there was a crowd of people going to see him. The place was packed, she squeezed through people. I could imagine it was squeezing on the four train ion MTA during rush hour. she had to be on her knees because the word says she touched the border of his garment . Jesus said who touched me?

Peter asked Him ” Lord how do you know someone touche you all these people are here?” and Jesus responded ” Virtue is gone out of me.” well, well, well this had me sit for a second. Virtue if we are tapped into the spirit realm we can know when a piece leaves us. as Jesus felt the sensation of a piece of his spirit leaving. You know i added this to my spiritual list of knowledge. When no one admitted to it , she finally did saying that she was healed immediately and Jesus said to her. “Be of good comfort, your faith has made you whole.”

Now servants from the house of the twelve year girl came to Jesus and said don’t trouble the master the daughter is dead. Jesus says only believe and she will be made whole . when Jesus gets to the house he tells everyone to leave the house and then tells the girl to arise. Her spirit came again and she got up he told them to feed her meat. Her parents was astonished, Jesus told them not to tell anyone what was done.

Parables are very important to our Christian walk. They are the lessons that we learn in our walk, how we should handle situations. we also see the miracles of God and a base sauce for faith. with out faith God can’t perform many miracles in our lives Matthew 13:58 when we read about miracles that were performed we are reminded that God is omnipotent.

If you want to invited God in to your life or need Jesus to stand in the gap for you. Turn your Bible to Roman 10:9 say this prayer;

Our Father in Heaven, Lord Thank you for the restoration of our relationship. Father I believe that Jesus is Lord and he died for my sins and paid the ransom for my very soul. I believe in my heart that on the third day he rose in power and defeated death for me. Lord Thank you for your sacrifice and your gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for the cleansing so that I can go to the father whiter than snow in Jesus name, Amen
