Ezekiel Chapter 14 Idolaters condemned

verse 1-6

Ezekiel says that some of the elders of Israel came to him and sat down in front of him. Then the word of the Lord came to him and says “Son of man, these men have set up Idols in their hearts and put wicked stumbling blocks before their faces. Should I let them inquire of me at all? Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: when any Israelite sets up idols in his heart, and puts a wicked stumbling block before his face and then goes to a prophet, I the Lord will answer him myself in keeping with his  great idolatry. I will do this to recapture the hearts of the people of Israel, who have all deserted me for their idols.Therefor say to the house of Israel, This is what the sovereign Lord says: repent! Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices!

For those that go to Gods Prophet or servant after worshipping Idols and putting up stumbling blocks ( circumstances that may keep you from God) the Lord says he will answer them himself  so that he may recapture the hearts of those who turn from him. for his name sake. The Lord will forgive us and change our hearts help us fight those things that keep us from him if we repent of our sins. we serve a God who is faithful to us but most of all we serve a forgiving God who will not take back his words.

verse 7 – 11

The Lord says that when an Israelite or alien living in Israel separates himself from him and sets up Idols in his heart and puts circumstances between themselves and God and then goes to a prophet to inquire of him. The Lord says: I the Lord will answer him myself I will set my face against that man and make an example and a byword . I will cut him off from my people. Then you will know that I am Lord. And If the prophet is enticed to utter a prophecy, I the Lord have  enticed that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel. They will bear their guilt – the prophet will be as guilty as the one who consults him. Then the people of Israel will no longer stray from me, nor will  they defile themselves anymore with their sins. they will be my people, and I will be their God, declares the sovereign Lord.

When we are not walking right and we are self proclaiming ourselves as prophets that act won’t go unnoticed by God. The Lord will call you out you will prophecy your imagination and not what the Sovereign Lord has said and he will stretch his hand out against you. The Lord will stop you from putting  a stumbling block between him and his people Glory to god. Thank you Lord, Glorryyyy. I thank my Lord God for Loving us so much that he will stop anyone who thinks that the can block us from him. won’t he do it!

verse 12-20

Judgment Inescapable

The word of the Lord came to Ezekiel: He said son of man, if a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I stretch out my hand against it to cut of its food supply and send famine upon it and kill its men and their animals, even if these three men Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign Lord.

Or if I send wild beasts through that country and they leave it childless and it becomes desolate so that no one could pass through it because of the beasts, as surely as I live , declares the sovereign Lord, even if these three men were in it, they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved, but the land would be desolate.

Or if I bring a sword against that country and say, Let the sword pass throughout the land, and I kill its men and their animals, as surely as I live, declares the sovereign Lord, even if these three men were in it, they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved.

Or if I send a plague into that land and pour out my wrath upon it through bloodshed, killing its men and their animals. as surely as I live, declares the sovereign Lord, even if Noah, Daniel and Job were in it, they could save neither son nor daughter. they would save only themselves by their righteousness.

These verses are powerful. only you are responsible for your salvation. your walk only can save you, your relationship with God can save you only. just as we are born in our individual bodies one soul one body one salvation, one relationship. I encourage you to get in to the word, begin the relationship walk in your purpose with confidence that God will walk with you Hallelujah!!!!!

verse 21 – 23

Ezekiel says that this is what the Lord said to him: How much worse will it be when I send against Jerusalem my four dreadful judgements – sword and famine and wild beast and plague – to kill its men and their animals! Yet there will be some survivors – sons and daughters who will be brought out of it. They will come to you and when you see their conduct and their actions, you will be consoled regarding the disaster I have brought upon Jerusalem – every disaster I have brought upon it. you will be consoled when you see their conduct and their actions, for you will know that I have done nothing in it without cause, declares the Sovereign Lord.

sometimes In our compassion we ask God why? why he does certain things ?  some say well if there is a God why does he allow certain things to happen? why is it that this group of people are going hungry? why are we at war? why are babies dying? here’s your answer Ezekiel 14:21 – 23 reminds us to look pass the horrible actions and look deeper in to the conduct and actions. The famine (Hunger), the plague (HIV, Cancer), the beast (Drugs, politicians) sword ( murders) before typing this I said Lord I don’t want people to get this misunderstood. so here’s how he gives it to me. just in the bible these things go on for generations and though our flesh does not understand its your spirit that seeks God that will give you understanding. we have plagues in a word where we have false prophets giving us a good word to gain a profit. we have Idolizing people are separating themselves from God, people are putting there wants in front of the Sovereign. I know what you’re saying what about those that suffer and know God. at the end of their suffering where are they going. If they know God they bare their cross and then go to the  kingdom. and some will survive and praise his name. Glory to God we have people who have survived cancer we have people going 20yrs HIV positive you have people walking around with a bullet in their head, we have people sober after 15yrs on drugs we have people being pulled out of Jail because the were wrongly accused Hallelujah! his word never changes.

Now for the Important part, If you are looking to begin your relationship with the sovereign it starts with your salvation. google, download the free bible app or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 confess with your mouth, that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you shall be saved. Get on your knees and talk to God allow him to fill your cracks with putty and wash you clean. Hallelujah! have an amazing day God bless you

Job chapter 18

Bildad says to Job when will you stop talking like this so negative, start thinking before you speak and then we can talk. He says to Job you are breaking yourself, should the world stop everything because you are going through something.

Bildad goes on to say to Job, the sinner will be in Darkness. He gets caught in his own wickedness, disaster awaits him when he falls.

Here we have Bildad telling Job that the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out. remember Job says he is awaiting the darkness if I spread my bed in Darkness , Bildad says the wicked gets darkness. his own schemes throw him down. Bildad is basically telling Job that he did something to put himself in the position he is in. he says Calamity was hungry for him, distress was hungry for the wicked. verse 21 he says that surely this is things that happens to a man who does not know God.

Assumption is what keeps some of us from getting pass the lies to get to the truth. a person can speak in to your life and you can start to believe what they are saying.you can start to question who you are and what you are put here for. Whatever Job was going through was not  for others to believe they were wise enough to know what God had intended for Jobs life. It was something between Job and God.

As I sit here and think about it all, Job prayed and moved about his life in a way that God wouldn’t be mad at him and he was very careful what he would do. we learned in the beginning chapters that he would even sacrifice just in case his children sinned. So Going through what he went through showed Job that he was stronger than he thought he was and could endure more than he thought he could endure.

Not only did God know that Job wouldn’t deny him or cross him he knew he would gain strength and confidence. Glory to God.

Now for the Important part if you are looking for Salvation google, download the free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 confess with your mouth and believe with your heart that Jesus was born man died on the cross and God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Glory to God in the highest Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!

II Kings 22 The book of the Law found

As for all the readers of this blog if you agree with what I’m saying please click the like button if not let me know what you didn’t agree with I love hearing from you guys.

Who am I? good question. My name is Wilhelmina Lundy that’s pronounced Wil-a-mena Lun-dee and I am a Woman of God, a Blogger, an online business owner, also I dab a little on periscope where I host the Journey in Praise recap. that’s a lot but it’s okay! the Job I love the most is Woman of God. I love to share the word of the Lord and that’s what I do here. we’re going to talk about Jesus. AMEN

Now to the scripture. I was scratching my head wondering what would I do today and I said Lord it’s your lead. I grab the bible and came to II Kings chapter 22. The 22nd chapter in II Kings is about Josiah who was the son of David, Josiah had been King since he was 8 years old. now 18 years after Josiah had become king he sent his Secretary to go to the temple of the Lord with the high priest and collect the money that they collect at the door and pay the men who are doing the repairs on the temple and tell them don’t worry about the ware about of the money because they are acting faithfully.

King-Josiah

In the temple the high priest found the book of the Law. the secretary goes back to Josiah and says the money has been taking out of the temple and given to the workers. and  the high priest found this book in the temple. and the secretary started reading from the book. so when Josiah heard what was in the book he tore robe.  and He calls his High  Priest, his secretary , his secretaries son, his attendant, and the son of Micaiah and he tells them to go to the Lord and find out what this book is about? He knew  that the Lord showed be angry because their fathers had not obeyed the words of this book.

The Men that he sent, went to a Prophetess by the name of Huldah and she told them that the Lord said He is going to bring disaster to the Land and the people because they forsaken me and burned incense to other gods  and provoked him to anger. but Josiah because you humbled yourself  will  be buried in peace you and your fathers.

II Kings is before Jesus, in the old testament if you didn’t know. God is a forgiving  God because just as soon as Josiah found out about the Laws in the book he tore his robe and  wanted to know about the book he realized that he was being taught wrong. and wanted the fathers forgiveness and wanted to live be the Laws of the covenant. He wanted his people to be right with God.

Again we see how forgiving God is when it comes to us. We go through selfishness and everything else. We know what’s right and wrong by him and even now in this era I like to say the Lord see’s and understands our battles, it’s nothing he hasn’t seen before, so who else is there to go to for the answers to all things. but the God of all things. and he will forgive you when you humble yourself.

God bless you all.

Tomorrow we will go over the Josiah Renews the Covenant. chapter 23

(I’m sure you all know what I’m talking about) to share with you guys. “these words is EVERYTHING” that’s how the young kids say it. writers know this feeling we can spend all day writing, editing, researching and when we stand up our body cramps OUCH.

I was able to see a list of all the wonderful opportunities I have been able to take, I am so appreciative of God for allowing me to be released to not allow anyone else inequities effect my will to live. because I was given such a release and a renewal of faith it has allowed me to be used in such an Amazing way. I am so thirsty for the Word of the Lord and the more I learn the easier it is to have faith and be faithful. If you had a great Idea today and didn’t follow next time that happens just try just take a chance, you take chances everyday why Not on something that’s feels right. for those who do not know who I am, I am Wilhelmina Lundy that’s pronounced Wil-a-mena Lun-dee and I am a woman of God, a blogger, an online business owner, wewin sister and a periscope broadcaster @Wilhelmina Lundy where I discuss the weekly lesson in the scripture and Journey in praise. While all those hats are so lovely the best is woman of God, Because boy oh boy how I love to serve the Lord. He brings me so much Joy. welcome to my corner of wordpress. ok now lets ;continue in Judges we are on Gideon’s journey in chapter 6 If you didn’t catch the previous blog.

Judges 6:36-40New International Version (NIV)

36 Gideon said to God, “If you will save Israel by my hand as you have promised— 37 look, I will place a wool fleece on the threshing floor. If there is dew only on the fleece and all the ground is dry, then I will knowthat you will save Israel by my hand, as you said.” 38 And that is what happened. Gideon rose early the next day; he squeezed the fleece and wrung out the dew—a bowlful of water.

39 Then Gideon said to God, “Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request. Allow me one more test with the fleece, but this time make the fleece dry and let the ground be covered with dew.” 40 That night God did so. Only the fleece was dry; all the ground was covered with dew.

Captive to Conqueror4 I  was always looking for a sign, always saying “If God just showed me a sign. then I would do this Idea I have” sometimes the sign is the Idea.

Gideon says ok Lord if it’s really me, If I’m going to be the one who saves Israel then I’m going to lay this wool fleece down on the threshing floor, and if there is dew only on the wool then I’ll know It’s me. Now lets remember we learned yesterday that Gideon was raised believing in idle gods, so the one and only God, the God of his forefathers was now calling on him.

The next morning only the wool had dew on it. ok now, alright Lord now your sure it me, so Gideon says don’t get mad but let me ask one more thing , this time dry the fleece and put the dew on the threshing floor.

God has no problem telling us what he wants. we have a problem excepting that someone thinks we’re that great, that we can achieve this important task that we are given, with the gifts that he made us special for.

this passage also shows us that God  will never stop showing us that he is here, He has our back. He answered Gideon’s request, to build his faith in God. Remember just the day before Gideon was praising Ba’al.

For the task at hand Gideon needed faith in the Lord God, to be able to allow the Lords spirit to strengthen him where he was weak. To accomplish the task at hand. God wanted to use Gideon, and Gideon wanted to be used.

Faith

Praise God I hope you enjoyed the word!!! all Praise to the Almighty God. Don’t forget to be encouraged to do your best at everything you do and have faith that God will strengthen you where you are weak. God Bless you

If there is anyone out there looking for the Lord, he has been waiting for you, Confess with your mouth and your heart that Jesus died for your sins, that Jesus is the Son Of The Living God.
