Blessings Faith Walkers,
I pray that you all had a wonderful weekend. Even though I worked all weekend it was awesome all around. I’m grateful how good and consistent God is in our lives, which allows us to Grow and build into who we are called to be (Amen)
Let’s get into Chapter 4 Cain and Abel
We begin with learning that Adam and Eve had consummated their marriage and Eve gave birth to Cain and then later she gave birth to his brother Abel. Abel kept flocks of sheep and goats he was a shepherd. but Cain cultivated the ground.
After a while Cain brought the Lord God an offering of fruit of the ground. But Abel brought an offering of the firstborn of his flock and the fat portions. The word says that God respected the offerings of Abel, but he had no respect for Cains offerings.
Cain became very angry from the rejection, he looked annoyed and hostile. God asked Cain why he looked annoyed? God says to Cain if you do well , will you not get accepted? and if you do not do well then sin crouches at your door; it’s desire is for you, but you must master it.
Let me jump in this real quick; Abel was walking down sin really swiftly. He now was being infested with Jealousy and anger against his Family member; his brother. when we compare and concern ourselves with recognition then we start dealing with ill feelings toward someone that comes in and may have achieved what we are aiming for, the ill feelings overpowers our emotions putting us into a place of sin. but you must master it meaning your going to have to learn how to control your emotions.
The word says Cain spoke with Abel about what God had said and when they were alone in the fields Cain attacked his brother and killed him. When God came , he asked Cain where was his brother? And Cain says ” I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper? The Lord says to Cain, What have you done? The Lord then tells Cain that the voice of his brother blood is crying out. God continues to say to Cain that He is now cursed from the ground. God then tells Cain that the ground will no longer yelled strength for him, That he will roam around aimlessly and be outcasted.
Cain says to the lord that his Punishment is to much to bare, He then tells the father that He had driven him out and that we would be hidden from his presence. Cain accepts that he will have to walk the earth aimlessly and be an outcast.
God then said, anyone who kills Cain will be cursed a seven fold vengeance. ( That means that he will deal with this for as long as God says he will have to) and the Lord set a Mark on Cain so that all would know not to kill him.
We can at times find us in a place of wondering, those are the days when we focus only on our selves and what we lacked as we sing our should’ve, could’ve would’ve.
Next we learn that Cain knew his wife and she gave birth to Enoch, and Cain built a city and named it after his son. We go down the line of the lieage and then we get back to Adam and Eve who were still creating babies. Eve gave birth to Seth and she felt God had replace Abel for her. Seth had a son named Enosh meaning Mortal Man; Mankind.
At this time Men started Praising the Lord in Prayer and worship.
Amen, Amen I pray that you have received a word from this Bible Study God is good to us at all times. It’s important that we don’t allow our anger to over power us. the vengeance will go down our lineage. The question is are you sending blessings to your legacy or are you lining up generational curses. Be careful how you us your heart, and be careful how you treat others.
