Judges 2:10-15

Hey Everyone,

Well hello, I hope that you reached the this blog in the mist of happy scrolling ! To the followers welcome back!  thanks for your support, you are appreciated. If this is your first time here in my corner of WordPress thank you for stopping by you are also appreciated. Listen to everyone if you are in agreement please like and comment I love to hear from you guys.

Who am I, I am Wilhelmina Lundy that’s pronounced Wil a mena Lun dee and I am a woman of God, a blogger, a periscope broadcaster, and an online business owner. but the thing I love the most is blogging the word of God. He is wonderful because if it was not for his love, I would have never made it to be all those things. I am a survivor of depression and oppression until Jesus Christ came  into my life and changed it. removed me from my bed and made me busy and redeemed me from my oppression. Praise the Lord. So let’s get in to the scripture

Judges 2:10-15New International Version (NIV)

10 After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel. 11 Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord and served the Baals. 12 They forsook the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods of the peoples around them. They aroused the Lord’s anger13 because they forsook him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths. 14 In his anger against Israel the Lord gave them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist. 15 Whenever Israel went out to fight, the hand of the Lord was against them to defeat them, just as he had sworn to them. They were in great distress.

After the generation of Joshua’s kids the new Generations of Israelites were coming up. They knew nothing of God and what he did for Israel by this time.( we see this everyday, the children in our generation. look at you like you have two heads when you speak about what Jesus did for us on the cross)  they followed and worshiped various gods.( if you go back to the first Judges blog or turn to Judges 2:1-3 and you will find it in verse 3.) and they abandoned GOD breaking the covenant, agreement, deal.

Their abandonment angered God and he allowed their enemies to defeat them they did not have Gods favor while they were praising other Gods, worshiping, Idolizing.

I just wanted to add this bonus scripture. how great is our God? He is a Good Father

Judges 2:16New International Version (NIV)

16 Then the Lord raised up judges,[a] who saved them out of the hands of these raiders.

Even though God was angry with them he still had compassion and raised judges and when the judge died the people would get worse in their evil ways with every generation.

honestly I see it like that now. Turn on the news in any town and you’ll see children shooting up everything, no respect for life. People are fighting in the name of entertainment, scream world star. Not  omg someone has been assaulted. Let me say, I am a firm believer that we were not put on this earth to be abused, to be punched in our faces. we shouldn’t be walking down the street worried about if someone is going to slice our faces or shoot us for their pleasures. I pray that the Lord has Mercy on us and walks continuously with us, because at this point only through his good grace that we go untouched.

OK everyone God Bless you guys may he continue to walk with.

If there is anyone out there looking for the Lord, he has been waiting for you, Confess with your mouth and your heart that Jesus died for your sins, that Jesus is the Son Of The Living God. Turn your bible to Romans 10:9 -13, get yourself in a bible based church and start your fellowship with the one who loves you.
Be Blessed everyone until next time

Really quick I received a prayer for those who want to accept Jesus Christ in to there lives. that is the first step the prayer comes from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. It says pray a prayer like this.
Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner,
and I ask for your forgiveness,
I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead.
I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life.

Acts 2:46-47New International Version (NIV)

46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being said

This scripture in Acts speaks about After  Jesus ascended into heaven and Peter and the rest of the Disciples received the gift of speaking in tongues.(happy Pentecost) after the Pentecost the church began to grow. they ate together in fellowship, and praised God together and for that the Lord added in their numbers of people in Christ.

I didn’t pick this scripture I was brought to the book of Acts and that’s what I am studying. This scripture jumped up at me, while reading the book. It points  out a lot of things when it comes to togetherness. Yesterday Journey in praise the declaration was. I will be affectionate to others today, always showing brotherly love.

We need that, we need to be loving toward one another, we walk past each other without  even  a friendly jester. Where is the love, where is the fellowship, where is the encouragement. we should try to do better, with how we treat one another.Lets show the Joy of God’s good graces. Lets pass it on. Angry people raise angry children who are just angry because that’s what they saw. They begin to think happy Jesus freaks like me are crazzzzyyy.!!!!!!

The Book Of Mark (chapter 1)

The book of MARK, I love the fact that this book starts off with The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then goes to baptism and repentance. Mark 1:12  Explaining the baptism of Jesus and then right after it states his Spirit sent him  into the wilderness were he was tempted. .  It reminds me of  when we start the path to God and began our walk, our journey. God has his purpose for us. We receive the holy spirit and began our path to righteousness.  At this moment I am going through the tempted stage. I’m  fighting the world trying to be more like Jesus. There goes my language falling into conversation, there goes my judging falling in to acceptance,  there goes my talking about people.  In this Modern world I Find myself trying to catch my mouth before i let it out. Those are my temptations.
Right after letting it go I find myself in prayer. Asking God for forgiveness of those sins. So I’m thinking I’m missing something should I pray before I let it out mouth. Asking God to give me strength to speak better, asking God to use his will to control how I handle people, asking God for strength to fight the temptation to be verbally abusive, or verbally inconsiderate, and/ or verbally judgmental. So these are the things I plan to work on this week. My faith leads me to believe I will concur this, because it is my temptation, and I feel horrible when I do it, so it can’t be good. Praying for a better way to speak and handle myself while I’m dealing with people treating my neighbors as I would want to be treated.
Mark 1:14  takes us to when Jesus started to gather his disciples I find this one very interesting because he’s on his journey as I am. We find ourselves always wanting to share when we’re on our journey that’s why I started this blog I wanted to share Gods  good news as Jesus did after his baptism, when you’re full of the spirit you just get so happy that you want to express the wonderful feeling that God has given you and you want to share that feeling with anyone who is willing to listen. The God in you (holy Spirit) is ready to praise and Share the love of God

Mark 1:17  Makes sense  Jesus says to Simon and Andrew come follow me and I will make you Fishers of Men. Amen. Sharing the Good news, now I’m ready to look at myself as a Simon and a Andrew, which we all should. when in the word you will share the word, Hoping that the Faithless becomes the Faithful. Could it be considered stingy to keep it to yourself. Like Simon and Andrew I would have dropped my net and followed Jesus too. As I type that last sentence my thoughts go back to before lent. I wasn’t willing to give up certain things (Cigarettes, Wine, Cussing) I can’t say I wasn’t willing  I didn’t try. in the middle of lent the taste was taken from me, but with out a fight I dropped my net, when Jesus said come.
Mark 1:21  Shows The Authority that Jesus uses To command an evil spirit out of a man who was at one of his teachings on the Sabbath in the synagogue in Capernaum. I have  learned in my journey that when the spirit takes over your body you speak with Authority. In the Bible Luke 1:41 says when Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting the baby leaped in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:42 says in a loud voice she exclaimed blessed are you among women and blessed is the child you will bear. The amazing part is she was filled with the Holy Spirit, Even the baby in her womb was filled with the spirit. Now let me explain how  I see speaking with authority  I believe it as speaking in a clear and loud voice, with control, no fear, or  doubt. In this scripture (LUKE) Who’s  Authority? The authorization of God the Holy Spirit. who was with Elizabeth at that moment so that’s where the authority would come from in my view. Again these are my thoughts as I study The Book of Mark. I am not a pastor, I am not a minister I am just reading the word of God with my open heart and spirit and sharing out of faith and Love. Back to the scripture It goes on to show us that the evil spirit was well aware that Jesus could Destroy it and called Jesus THE HOLY ONE OF GOD. In a stern voice Jesus demands the Evil Spirit out of the man and it leaves with a violent shake and a loud shriek. As a little girl I remember having bad dreams about evil spirits and I remember my Grandmother telling me to call Jesus and to continue calling his name. It works I still do it when I get a heavy feeling in my sleep no matter what I call Jesus sometimes I can’t move my mouth and just recently I find myself just calling his name in my head it works. My faith in him removes the fear and whatever that maybe lurking.

Mark 1:29  Jesus healing Simon’s mother-in-law from fever. Depending on what Gospel your reading he touched her hand, helped her up, spoke to the fever. even though Mark, Matthew , and Luke says one of those three happened in their book I believed each happened. He touched her hand as he prayed over the fever and helped her up. and then she got up and waited on them as women would do with guess.

Mark 1:32  The sick and demon possessed was  brought to Jesus. He healed many with different diseases and drove out demons, not allowing them to speak because they knew he was God the son but it says they knew who he was and of course they would because he was there in the beginning John 1:1 in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God John 1:14 the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us we have seen his glory the glory of the one and only who came from the father full of grace and truth which is describing Jesus.

Mark 1:35  Shows us  Jesus wakes up early in the morning to go pray I’ve come accustom after celebrating Lent to praying early in the morning so I wake up 5 a.m. to go to work and I say my prayers by 5:30 before I leave the house at 6 a.m. I did not make the schedule my spirit found it a better time to do my prayers but what I learned is it is important to start your day off with prayer. If I don’t get on my knees and pray I don’t feel right that day and I probably had been in praise all day it’s just different when I take the time for God. please don’t get me wrong there it doesn’t matter when you pray just try to fit it in there daily drop that net. and walk with Jesus.

Mark 1:38  Simon comes and tells Jesus that everyone is looking for him and then Jesus replied let us go somewhere else to a nearby Village so I can preach there also. That is why I have come to like the book of Mark. Jesus is showing his disciples, hey I am here to preach God’s word now that we have helped these people here, let’s go find someone else who needs me to preach and drive out demons and heal the sick. let’s go that’s why I’m here. My thoughts: before getting in to this book for the blog, I only would use it to reference Faith. well I see the building of faith now. Jesus teaching his disciples preparing them in the word, and showing them what faith is. You can show someone better than you can tell them. It says here in my study guide that the people would have a Saturday the Sabbath day where Jewish men would gather to listen to a rabbi teach from the scriptures. so I take it he would have those days to get from one place to another before he would preach the truth the word in a synagogue on the Sabbath day. giving opportunity to meet, heal, bless , love, and teach on his way to the next place led by the holy spirit.

Mark 1:39  So he traveled throughout Galilee preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons. In the flesh his purpose was to teach us the scripture and about faith, to remove all things that was out to get us, that invaded us, and we were fighting internally with emotions uncontrolled,  evil words, and evil spirits that dwell within us. I believe some people do have somethings in their system that just won’t allow the good to take over their lives, or won’t allow great things to come into their space. I’ve seen those kind of people and it’s sad and I pray for them. They don’t think that God loves them enough to remove all things that is not of him. They allow the thought of having  “bad luck” instead of having faith control their mental space. If anyone who is reading this is going through a rough season.

Mark 1:40  A man with Leprosy came to Jesus and begged him on his knees if you were willing,  you can make me clean. now leprosy was a disease that’s said in the those days  anybody with Leprosy was considered unclean and  if you touch that person you would be unclean

Mark 1:41  Filled with compassion Jesus reached out his hand and touched him and I am willing he said be cleaned immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured. That’s The Power of Jesus. He had no problem touching this man because Jesus is love. So why would he worry about touching this man, all he wanted was for this man to feel loved. I mention the compassion of Jesus. Jesus was not only curing the leprosy but the lonely also. This man was so lonely that he just wanted to be considered clean again so that he can be able to communicate. His family didn’t touch him they considered him unclean he could not be with a mate, he could not be with his family or his children if he had any. Think about the pain he must have felt the emptiness and loneliness. When Jesus healed him he told the man go and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, but don’t tell anyone.  of course he was going to go and Tell It on the Mountain, as we tend to  We are willing to tell our many blessings but Jesus told him to keep it down. Here’s a question that I will basically end this blog with. If you were living in his day, and Jesus said I’m going to heal you, but don’t tell anybody. Could you hold it to yourself?  Let me be honest, I’m going to be the first to answer that question I could not because to this day I Go Tell It on the Mountain any blessing that I received from God. Glorifying his name on it.

Brothers and sisters please be blessed I will return with the next blog on Mark 2nd chapter I find it easier to break the chapters down and just enjoy the word with you guys until then please Like, Share &  Follow and spread the good news.

be blessed brothers and sisters until next time

My First Holy Week Experience

I’m back, I have been patiently waiting to post this blog. I wanted to go through holy week, and then post my experience. This was my first holy week, and what a wonderful experience it was. I’m going to try to do this Blog in two parts, I realized I had so many notes on my experience I didn’t want you guys to miss out on anything it was a great worshiping weekend

Growing up my prep for Easter would be wondering what outfit my grandmother had picked out for me and hoping she didn’t forget my socks with the lace top, and crossing my fingers that she brought me another purse. I didn’t go to the services with her just Easter Sunday but I do remember her being busy that week. So needless to say I was shocked to find out that there were other things then just Easter Service.

We started services on Palm Sunday (Walking with Jesus in to Jerusalem) I rushed home went to Youtube and searched How to make a cross with Palms. Here is the link very easy https://youtu.be/kmtg7m7Ion8

I thought about how wonderful Jesus is, as I folded the Palm and said a prayer. I thought about how I wanted to be closer to the Father, and I thought about how Jesus took the time to pray and he was a busy man healing, teaching, performing miracles. As he showed by example how to be one with his spirit aiming closer to The Father. I was focused on adding more prayer time to my day.519174428_780f22fa34

Maundy Thursday- This day was the washing of feet, Now let me add that, the way anxiety is set up it won’t allow me to accept people in my body space. So as I’m preparing for service my mind is rejecting the thought of going to church. It made me so sick to my stomach. My spirit was preparing my feet for the washing. I was running late because I was waiting for my husband to come home, so he could take our active 5yr old. My mind wanted me to believe that I missed the washing which was the most important part. my husband walked through the door, and I rushed out the house, and down the street to the church. I quickly stepped in, everyone was in the middle of  prayer. My mind said what ever but I’m not getting my feet washed. The Pastor started preaching on Jesus washing the disciples feet. If  the Lord can wash his disciples feet then we surely can wash each others feet. She began to explain to those of us who had never done the washing of feet what would be happening. before I knew it I was on my feet ready to be the first person in line to get my feet washed. I do believe my MIND was floored as my SPIRIT walked us up to the pastor. As she  was washing my feet, I said a Prayer thinking about what had just happen, wanting a clear mind so that he can have his way. What is it to be a Servant?  I wondered. At this moment I was on the fence about starting this Blog, By the end of the night I had ended up being the person who was washing the feet of my sisters and brothers in Christ, I had ended up being the servant. We ended that night in darkness representing Judas betrayal and the arrest of Jesus. As for me I ended the service with clarification to a 7mth question as he is moving on my behalf things are coming into path. God had shown me that my SPIRIT is stronger than my MIND my faith in God is stronger than anxiety.

If you are reading this blog and it seems your MIND keeps winning the race don’t be afraid to step out on faith, God wants you to come to him, God wants to help you out of what ever you may be going through, He loves everything about you. Be strong , and allow God to work with in you. He wants you to follow his footsteps and he wants you to see yourself in a better position. The father promised to supply all your needs all you have to do is call his name. He is stronger that anxiety He is Stronger than your mind.

Stay tuned for part 2 Meditation on the cross and procession
