1Samuel Chapter 22

David at Adullam and Mizpah

Verse 1-5

The word tells us that David had left Gath and went to the Cave of Adullam. When his family heard where he was they went to him as well as those that were in distress, debt, or discontent. David had become the leader of about four hundred men. David had gone to Mizpah to see the king of Moab and ask him to allow his parents to stay with him until he knew what God wanted him to do. David’s parents stayed with the king of Moab until the stronghold was over. The word says that the Prophet Gad had told David not to stay in the stronghold, to go in to the land of Judah. So David left and went in to the forest.

Verses 1-5 Shows us what a servant is suppose to do. David went to the cave to hide and collect his thoughts about what next. The word tells us that the there was a time that the Lord hid his prophets in caves until it was safe. When we get to a point when things are going crazy we are to hide in God, in prayer, in worship to do nothing other than wait for instructions. David’s family found him and was ready to be with him and fight with him. Just in his circumstance the Lord sent four hundred men for David to lead. We serve a resourceful God who has already prepared our resources before anything happens, the question is are you going to wait for instructions, so that it can meet at the right position? The prophet Gad told David not to wait in the stronghold so David headed to the forest of Hereth. David had received instruction from the Lords servant Gad and now new what to do next, David invited God to order his steps knowing that there is glory in following instruction.

Verse 6 – 23

Saul kills the priests of Nob

The ending of the chapter tells us that Saul went to Gibeah and asked the men of Benjamin dcan David give them fields and vineyards or make them commanders why would they betray him for David. There was a man name Doeg the Edomite that told Saul that David had gone to visit Ahimelech to seek God. Doeg told Saul that Ahimelech had given David bread and the sword of Goliath.

Saul went to Ahimelech and asked him why would he conspire against him, with David as he waits for him to rebel against.  Ahimelech asks Saul who is more loyal to him then David. Ahimelech tells Saul this wasn’t the first time that he went to God for David. So don’t accuse this servant and kill this servants father’s family. Saul ordered for the guards to kill the priests of the Lord. None of the guards moved to kill the priests of the Lord, so Saul told Doeg the Edomite to do it and he did killing Eighty-five men who wore linen ephod. He also killed the town of Nob killing men, women, children, and animals.

Abiathar the son of Ahimelch escaped andran to David telling him what happen to his fathers family. David told Abithar that he should have known that Doeg would go back and tell Saul. The death of Ahimelch was his fault. David told Abiathar to stay with him because the man looking to kill him is looking to kill himself as well.

I ended this chapter thinking about the anger that was in Saul. Anger had grown so deep and wild inside of Saul, that he had ordered the death of eighty- five priest. When the spirit of the Lord left from Saul it took morality and Compassion with it. The seed of Jealousy had grew from hate to destroy very quickly. We have two men one who is looking for the guidance of God and one who had lost respect and sight of everything that was good including God. It’s so important not to allow anger to come in and take over and eat at you character. When this happens, you cannot rest, you cannot allow yourself to enjoy life, you will push everyone who means anything away. These are the things that happened to Saul. How do I know? David was Saul’s harpist he soothed him when the evil spirit would take over, when we don’t have the Lord’s spirit in our lives, when we are not walking with the power of the Holy spirit, you will rejected anything that is good, with David gone there was no peace in his spirit. With a restless spirit Saul killed a whole town. When we don’t welcome God into ourlives and follow instruction everything that is not good comes our way and grows.

Now for the important part If you are looking to build your foundation of faith and will like to start a relationship with the Lord. Download the free bible app, google, or turn your bibles to Romans 10:9 and Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart thatGod raise him from the dead then you shall be saved. Start building you foundation by studying the word, worship, and fellowship.

Be Blessed

1 Samuel Chapter 5

1-samuel-1024x576the Ark in Ashdod and Ekron

verse 1 -5

The Philistines took the Ark to Ashdod and the put it in Dagons temple. the scripture says that the next morning Dagon had fallen  on his face in front of the Ark. They placed Dagon back in his place and the next day he had fallen again this time his head and hands had been broken off and placed on the threshold. The scipture says that no one steps on the threshold in Dagons temple.

Praise God! to put a representative of God in a place where you worship Idols, no way your coming back from that. As I was reading this word I thought about how it is not good to  sit on the fence when it comes to our walk with God. We can’t be out to serve God and walk with him and do the things that the Lord is not for. I remember when I first started this walk and I was still smoking and drinking wine, I one day had a vision of the holy spirit leaving me because I couldn’t let go of the cigarettes I was placing the cigarettes (my idol) over God and forcing God to be around it. Then I prayed for the need for it to be broken from my spirit and that’s exactly what happen. The next day the desire for the cigarettes were gone. When we idolize something and put it before God, our faith and need to be pleasing to God allows the spirit to come and break that thing. it’s built on a foundation of faith that he is able. The fact that the Philistines feared God was acknowledgment that they had faith that he does exist, and can destroy them.

verse 6 – 12

While the Ark of God was in Ashdod the hand of God was heavy on the people. Some ended up with tumors and others died so they decided to move it to Gath. In Gath it did the same, so the people got together with the elders and they decided to take it to Ekron when the people of Ekron saw that the Ark was coming and there was an out cry. The elders decided to send the Ark back. The people of Gath, Ekron, and Ashdod died and for those who didn’t die they suffered with tumors. The cry went up to heaven.

This chapter makes me think of the power of God in chapter four yesterday we saw that when the Israelites learned that the Ark had been captured the suffered an outcry. Eli and his family suffered death, they felt that God had left them. depending on the power of God as christians when we fell he’s not around we feel lost like Israelites. Now for the Philistines they worshipped Dagon and feared God The power that the Ark had on them was afflicting tumors and death. They new they were doing wrong taking the Ark of God, and almost expected repercussions.

Now for the Important part if you are looking for Salvation if you will like to start a new and be in the presence of God turn your bible, google, or download the free bible app and turn to Romans 10:9 Confess with your mouth that Jesus christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. start a prayer life and get in to the word and allow the Lord to turn it around for you.

Ezekiel Chapter 23 Two adulterous sisters

In this chapter the Lord tells the story of Samaria and Jerusalem and how we get to their destruction.

full chapter

the Lord tells Ezekiel that there were two daughters of the same mother. They became prostitutes The older sisters name was Oholah and her sister was Oholibah. In this story Oholah represents Samaria and Oholibah Represents Jerusalem. The Lord says to Ezekiel that Oholah engaged in prostitution while she was still his,she lusted after her lovers Assyrian warriors. She gave herself to the elite of the Assyrians and defiled herself with all the idols of everyone she lusted after.

The Lord says therefore I handed her over to her lovers and the stripped her naked and took away her sons and daughters, and killed her with the sword. she became an example among women

The Lord said her sister Oholibah saw what happened to Oholah yet she went down the road of prostitution. She was more corrupt than her sister. Oholibah also lusted after Assyrians elite and the Lord said that he saw her defile herself; both of them went the same way.

The Lord said that Oholibah took it even further she saw Babylonians and began to lust after them. She sent a messenger to them in Chaldea and they came to her, to her bed of love and in their lust they defiled her. The Lord says after she had been defiled she turned from them in disgust. The Lord says he turned from her in disgust, just as he had turned from her sister. And still she became more and more promiscuous thinking about the day she was a prostitute in her younger days in Egypt.

The Lord says that he will stir up her lovers against her. The Lord says that it will be his anger and they will punish her. He will put a stop to her lewd behavior and prostitution that had began in Egypt. you will not look to these things anymore he said.

The Lord says to Oholibah (Jerusalem) I am about to hand you over to the ones you hate those that you turned from in disgust. They will deal with you in hatred and take everything that you worked for. Because you have lusted after the nations and defiled yourself with their idols. you have gone the way of your sister so i put her cup in your hand.

The Lord declares to Jerusalem that destruction and sorrow will come her way just has it came for Samaria, and Jerusalem will suffer every drop

The Lord asks Ezekiel to Judge Oholah and Oholibah for committing Adultery with their Idols and for defiling his sanctuary, for sacrificing his children to the Idols. The Lord says that Jerusalem invited men from far aways and enticed them prepared for them and offered up incense and oils that belong to him.

The Lord said a mob will come against her and cause destruction this will put down and end the lewdness and prostitution.

In this chapter the Lord has Ezekiel tell the people of Jerusalem why they are being handed over. In the story of the two sisters the Lord shows how they gave them selves up without any concern for him. Forming alliances with godless nations, and being lewd by desire to have things. We must be careful, I always wondered where the term ” I serve a Jealous God” comes from. In this chapter we see his Jealousy, we see haow upset he is. He loves us so much and angers when we put things desires before him. The christian walk can be a hard thing to do. We must remember he is our provider and our strength. we must be ready to put our faith in him and not try to control with our desires remember the enemy lures through desires. be ready to rebuke the enemies entice of desires, and call him out. At that moment God will show up. God Bless You

Now for the Important part, Google, download the free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead you shall be saved. Get in to the word and allow God to reveal himself, start a relationship with the one who will never leave you. who wants to love and provide for your every need.

 Ezekiel Chapter 20 Rebellious Israel

verse 1 – 12

Ezekiel tells us in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day the elders came to inquire about the Lord and sat in front of him. He says that the word of the Lord came to him and the Lord said to tell the elders that he won’t let them inquire about him. The Lord asks Ezekiel would he judge the elders. He tells Ezekiel to confront them with all the detestable things that they have done. The Lord remembers on the day that he brought Israel from Egypt he swore to them he would bring them to a land that he sought out that flowed with milk and honey.

He said to them to get rid of the idols of Egypt that he is Lord their God. The Lord says to Ezekiel, but they didn’t listen and so he would pour out his wrath on them. For the sake of his name he kept from looking profaned (not sacred) he continued on with his word and gave them the decrees and Laws, and who obeys them will live by them. The Lord also says he gave them his sabbath as a sign between him and Israel, so they would know that He the Lord made them Holy.

Verse 1 – 12  Is a reminder that the Lord is not a liar. He made a promise to the people of Israel and he stuck by his word though he was angry he did not destroy the people of Israel he led them to the desert. Let’s remember he says he went ahead and gave them the decrees and Laws in the desert, and the man who obeys them will live by them. The Lord will not go back on his word he is not a man that he should lie. it’s what we do that saves us or kills us. what we do that puts us in the desert or the land of milk and honey.

verse 13 -20

In these verses the Lord says that the people of Israel rebelled against him, they didn’t follow his decree, and they didn’t keep His laws. They desecrated the sabbath. The Lord said; that he would pour out his wrath and destroy them in the desert. but the Lord said he wanted to do what would keep it from being profaned (ungodly) for his name sake. with lifted hands he swore that he would not bring them to the land he had given them. because they rejected his laws, defiled themselves, and were devoted to their idols. but he said to their children in the desert don’t follow your father keep the laws don’t defile yourselves with the idols.

Still with an open heart when he realized that the adults were not going to do as he told them, they were to stuck in their ways and blinded to the idols, the Lord still gave their descendants the chance to be in the place he promised them.

Verses 21 – 29

In these verses the Lord says that the children of Israel rebelled as well defiling themselves not following the decrees or laws. The Lord says he said to them in the desert that he would scatter them through the countries because they had not obeyed his laws. The Lord says he gave them over to statutes that were not good and ltaws they could not live by. he let them become defiled by their gifts to the statutes – the sacrifice to every firstborn. he says that he will fill them with horror so that they know he is Lord.

The Lord says to Ezekiel tell the people of Israel when he brought there fathers in to the land, they found a high hill and a leafy tree and offered sacrifices and burned incense and poured out drink offerings provoking his anger and the Lord says he asked what is this high place you go ( it is called Bamah to this day)

Even waiting, idol worshiping went from generation to generation and every time the Lord tried to give the descendants a chance for his promise to pass they still would find an idol. when the go in to the land the went to Bamah and gave offering that would provoke the Lord to anger.

verse 30 – 38

The Lord tells Ezekiel to ask the people of Israel, will they defile themselves like their fathers did and lust their vile images? The Lord wants to know should he let them inquire about him. He says as surely as I live I will not let you inquire about me.

The Lord says; they say they want to be like the people of nations that serve wood and stone. He says that he will outstretched his hands and rule with a mighty hand with outpouring wrath. The Lord says he will execute judgment on them as he did their fathers in the desert.

The Lord says he will tear them from those who rebel against him. he will bring them out of the land that they live, yet they will not enter Israel.

The Lord gives many chances for us to come to him, he is fighting for us and even though the were defiling and wanting to serve man-made Gods  the Lord was still preparing for them to recognize who he is, he now was pushing them to hardship and exile so that they can no who he is. Sometimes we have to go to the hard of hard in order to fall to our knees. Some are hardheaded like that.

verse 39 – 44

The Lord tells Israel that there will be a day that he will accept them there will be a day that they listen to his and there will be a day that they will no longer profane his holy name.

verse 45 – 49

The Lord tells Ezekiel to prophesy against the south and he says tell them that the Lord will set a fire that no one can put out and people will know that the Lord has kindled it. Ezekiel says to the Lord that they think he is only speaking in parables.

Ezekiel Chapter 19

A lament for Israel’s Princes

verse 1 – 14

First for those who do not know Lament means grief or/and sorrow

In the 19th chapter of Ezekiel there are only 14 verse so I will not be breaking them up.

these verse the Lord tells Ezekiel to go to the princes of Israel and ask them if their mother was like a lion rearing up young lions she would teach one son and he would be successful and the nation would rise up and trap him and send him to Egypt. after that prince didn’t have success she would raise up another and he would be mighty and have a strong presence but then the nations would rise up and bring him to the king of Babylon, and put him in prison.

The Lord tells Ezekiel to tell the princes of Israel that their mother was like a vine in a vineyard. She was fruitful and full of branches because of abundant water, her branches were strong fit for a ruler’s scepter.

But it was uprooted in fury and thrown to the ground. It’s vines consumed by fire. No strong branch left on it.

If you haven’t guessed it this is the story that we learned in Chapter 17 this time the Lord is saying that the mother was a vine she nurtured, feed , and taught her sons how to be rulers the first cub Jehoahaz The King of Judah( who was taken captive by Egypt 609B.C) Next the second cub Jehoiachin (who was taken captive in Babylon) then Zedekiah was planted as ruler and reached to Eygpt and withered its vines them burning by the east wind (the Babylon a)

As Parents we look at these little people and we rear them to be all that they can be. we want them to be successful and concur anything that tries to come in their paths. For the mother of the Kings of Judah yes she made sure her sons learned well enough to be great but yet it would be the actions of their nation who would hand them over to their enemy. This story being a Lament for Israel.

Now for the Important part if you are looking for salvation google, download the free bible app or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead you shall be saved. Get in to the word and enjoy a relationship with sovereign God.

Ezekiel Chapter 18

Happy Monday Everyone,

I pray that you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed a bit of time to yourself. It is important to the betterment of you that you take a moment to build yourself. make some time to just sit with God and wait for him to give you instruction.

For those who do not know my name is Wilhelmina Lundy and I am a servant of God. Some of the ways that I serve the Lord is through this bible study blog. This is where I come to you guys with the word of the Lord so that we can spend sometime with God. Romans 1:17 tells us in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed,  a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written, the righteous will live by faith. This tells us through the word, God will reveal himself and build our faith. Glory to God. Next is the Journey In Praise ministry where you can find me on FaceBook (@journeyinpraise), periscope (@WilhelminaLundy) and YouTube @(journeyinpraise) Itunes (@journeyinpraise) and soundcloud (@journeyinpraise) at these outlets you can find me speaking the word of the Lord, and last but not least the prayer wall If you would like to be added to the prayer wall you can email me at fromsinnertosaint103@gmail.com. Now let’s get in to the word.

Ezekiel chapter 18

The soul who sins will die

verse 1 -3

Ezekiel says the word of the Lord came to him and said ” what do you people mean when you quote the proverb ‘The father’s eat sour grapes and the children’s teeth are set on edge’ ” the Lord says’ “surely as I live you will no longer quote this proverb in Israel. for every living soul belongs to me, the father as well as the son – both alike be long to me.The  soul who sins is the one who will die.

The Lord says in these voices know the son wont reap the father’s actions but you all belong to me everyone is responsible for his on salvation so weather our fathers walked upright or sinned has nothing to do with what we will have to face. you sin you die.

verse 5-9

The Lord says that a man who is walking upright and follows his decrees, who treat people with honesty and respect, and gives to the poor is a man who will surely live. Glory to God.

The Lord reminds us that we are here to do right and live unpunished walking in his way and listening to his voice knowing right from wrong and abiding by them treating our brethren fair and giving to those who have not.

verse 10-13

Tells us that a man who sins and does detestable things will surely die his blood will be on his own head. he knew right from wrong.

verse 14 – 17

The 14th verse starts out saying suppose a son sees all the sins of his father, and even though he see’s them he doesn’t commit them he will not die for his father’s sins he will live for living upright.

Verse 18 -20

These’s verses say to us the righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him. A son who is seeing to it that he follows the laws and Decrees of God s=hould not have to pay for his fathers sins, his father will die for his own sin.

verse 21 – 24

The Lord says to Ezekiel If a wicked man changes his ways and stops sinning then he will live none of the sins that he committed will be remembered . If a righteous man turns away from his righteousness then he will not live and none of his righteous acts will be remembered. He is more pleased when the wicked changes his ways and lives then the Death of the wicked.

Verse 25- 32

The Lord address Israels opinion that he is unjust reminding them that he will save the life of a man who was wicked and decided to turn from all the wicked things he did and save his life. why shouldn’t the man who was righteous die after being righteous and then turning to wicked. He willingly decided that he didn’t want to follow the laws of God.

This chapter reminds us that if we do wrong we reap the consequences. all the Sovereign Lord wants us to do is be in a relationship with him. the more we study and stay in the word the closer we get to him the more we want to please him. Last Thursday I had an honor in joining in on pastor Kimberly Jones Prayer Protocol Boot camp. It was a phenomenal experience I came out of the experience understand how Important it is to be in Gods presence. Activating the ability to pray in the spirit. If you are interested you can find more info at Kimberly J.net

Now to the Important stuff, If you are looking for salvation and ready to begin that relationship with God. Google, download the free bible app or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead and you shall be saved. get yourself in a relationship with God and allow him to turn it around for you. Building confidence ,faith and strength. He will do it for you. Praise God

Ezekiel Chapter 13: False prophets Condemned

If you are new to study you can click the follow button and receive notification when new studies are posted.

My name is Wilhelmina Lundy and I am a servant of God. The way that I serve God is in this blog, were we share the word of the Lord. The Lord has allowed me to also start the Journey in praise Blog and broadcast, this is where I am allowed to share lessons from my relationship with God. If you would like to be added to the Prayer wall you can email me at fromsinnertosaint103@gmail.com leave your name and request so that I can pray with you. Let’s get in to the word!

Ezekiel Chapter 13 false prophets condemned

verse 1-7

Ezekiel says that the word of the Lord came to him. Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. say to those who are prophesying out of their own Imagination; ‘Here the word of the Lord this is what the sovereign says; Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and has seen nothing! Your prophets O’Israel are like jackals among ruins. you have not gone up to the breaks in the wall to repair it for the house of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the Lord. There visions are false and there divinations are a lie. they say “the Lord declares,” when the Lord has not sent them; yet they expect there words to be fulfilled. Have you not seen false visions and uttered lying divination when you say, “The Lord declares,” though I have not spoken?

I’m sure that you have heard many times to beware of false prophet. In verses 1-7 God is saying to Ezekiel it’s time for you to prophesy about those that are not building anyone, that are speaking their imagination, I have not spoken. In the Romans 1:17 tells us in the gospel God is revealed. In our knowledge of the word God will tell us, what is from him and what is from someones imagination. That’s why it is important to move forth in our study and reach to eat from the tree of life. being close to God is living.

verse 8- 12

Ezekiel says, the Lord says to him to say  Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: Because of your false words and lying visions,  I am against you, declares the sovereign Lord. My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people, or be listed in the records of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the sovereign Lord. Because they lead my people  astray, saying, “peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash, therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth. when the wall collapses, will people not ask you, where is the whitewash you covered it with?

A prophet is to build the people for whats to come. The Lord tells Ezekiel tell the false prophets that the have led his people astray using the word peace when there wasn’t any peace. The Lord says to Ezekiel to tell the false prophets, that they will not be in the Land of Israel and they will not be listed in the record.

verse 13 – 16

Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury. I will tear down the wall you have covered with whitewash and will  level it to the ground so that its foundation will be laid bare. When it falls, you will be destroyed in it;  and you will know that I am Lord. So I will spend my wrath against the  wall and against those who covered it with whitewash. I will say to you, the wall is gone and so are those who whitewashed it, those prophets of Israel who prophesied Jerusalem and saw visions of peace for her when there was no peace, declares the Sovereign.

The Lord says he will send a storm and tear down the whitewash. If you are built up with weakness when you go through the storm those walls will fall down.

verse 17 – 19

The Lord says to Ezekiel; Now son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who prophesy out of their own imagination. Prophesy against them and say, This is what the Sovereign Lord says; Woe to the woman who sew magic charms on all their wrists and make veils of various lengths for their heads in order to ensnare people. Will you ensnare the lives of my people but preserve your own? You have Profaned me among my people for a few handfuls of barkley and scraps of bread. By lying to my people, who listen to lies, you have killed those who should not have died and have spared those who should not live.

The Lord says to the women who disrespected him for scraps and bread that they have trapped the Lords people, you have killed those that could have been saved. yet spared those who should have been dead. all for your own gain. when you false prophesy you are setting a person up on the wrong road you are selfishly effecting their lives. making them believe that they will be closer to God in the charms and veils.

verse 20 -23

Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: I am against your magic charms with which you ensnare people like birds and I will tear them from your arms; I will set free the people who you ensnare like birds. I will tear off your veils and save my people from your hands, and they will no longer fall prey to your power. Then you will know that I am the Lord.Because you disheartened the righteous with your lies, when I had brought them no grief, and because you encourage the wicked not to turn from their evil ways and so save their lives. therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will save my people from your hands. And then you will know that I am the Lord.

The Lord says that he is against the charms and veils that he is not in it. The Lord says that he will break his people from the power believing in the charms and veils and then they will know that he is sovereign. It makes me think about the television shows selling holy water and anointed oil and prayer clothes making people believe that God will hear them more clear if the do this our sow that. the way to God is in relationship. I don’t like to speak on others ministry but I will tell you before you buy in to all that know where your faith is.

Now for the important part If you are looking for salvation google, download the free bible app or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. Ezekiel Chapter 12

Good Morning,

I pray that you all are doing well in God, and that he is physically showing you that he is the living God. we are in the twelfth chapter on Ezekiel and God has been teaching. In Ezekiel we are learning that God will show us exactly what he wants from us, how he wants to executed. It won’t necessarily be the greatest thing, sometimes it can be prophesying against the ugly, against our love ones. what we must learn is that it’s our faith that pushes us to be Godobedient.

My name is Wilhelmina Lundy and I am a servant of the Almighty, the ways that I serve the Sovereign God is through this bible study blog, also the Journey in praise blog and broadcast. you can find me on periscope at @WilhelminaLundy or on the Facebook and YouTube  at @journeyinpraise. Ezekiel Chapter 12

The Exile symbolized

verse 1 -6

Ezekiel says, that the word of the Lord came to him and said; Son of man, you are living among rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see, and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are rebellious people. Therefore son of man, pack your belongings for exile and in the daytime. As they watch, set out and go from where you are to another place. perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious house. The Lord tells Ezekiel that in the day time while they watch take out his belongings packed for exile and dig through the wall and take his belongings through it. the Lord tells Ezekiel to put them on his shoulder and carry them out while they watch, at dusk. He tells him to cover his face so that he wont see the land, the Lord says that he has made Ezekiel a sign to the house o Israel.

When God is ready he will take us out of the place that he is ready to move us from, and he will  make us a sign for someone else. He uses us to teach and to warn. remember in the first chapter when we learned that he wants us to speak the warnings and if they listen they will be saved if they don’t listen they will die and if we don’t speak the warning the blood is on our hands. If Ezekiel doesn’t follow instructions, he will have to deal with what is meant for the house of Israel. when we don’t move yes it will go left real quick.

verse 7 – 11

Ezekiel says he did as told, during the day he brought his things packed for exile. he says then in the evening he dug through the wall with his hands. He took his belonging out at dusk, carrying them on his shoulder while they watched. In the morning the Lord asked Ezekiel if anyone of the house of Israel ask him what he was doing. the Lord tells Ezekiel to say to them, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: This oracle concerns the prince in Jerusalem and the whole house of Israel who are there. say to them I am a sign to you. As I have done , so it will be done to them. they will go into exile as captives.

when we are carrying our burdens, and preparing to learn our lessons as christians we sometimes will go through our troubles in front of others. Ezekiel was showing the house of Israel what they will be going through and they still didn’t bother to concern themselves with what he was doing. We sometimes go through thing in front of others as a warning to the person who really needs the message, to show them how to deal with what’s to come or prepare for what’s to come. a rebellious person is going to mock before they ask questions out of concern. Glory to God.

verse 12 – 16

The rest of the Lords message was that, the prince among them will put his things on his shoulder at dusk and leave , a hole will be dug in the wall for him to go through. He will cover his face so that he cannot see the land. I will spread my net for him and he will be caught in my snare; I will bring him to Babylonia ,the land if the Chaldeans, but he will not see it, and there he will die. I will scatter to the winds all those around him – his staff and all his troops – and I will pursue them with drawn sword. They will know that I am lord, when I disperse them and scatter them among the countries. but I will spare a few of them from the sword, famine, and plague, so that in the nations where they go they will acknowledge all their detestable practices. Then they will know that I am Lord.

Some he will spare so that they can give testimony and say bless the Lord.

verse 17 – 20

Ezekiel says, the Lord says son of man, tremble as you eat your food, and shudder in fear as you drink your water. say to the people of the land. This is what the sovereign Lord says about those living in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will eat their food in Anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live in there. The inhabited towns will be laid waste and the land will be desolate. Then you will know I am Lord.

I just want to say, when we have built a relationship with God, and take on our assignment. our walk and actions will be those of what God wants to teach. How can we teach faith if we don’t walk in it? How can we give warnings, if we haven’t gone through it. Ezekiel had to show exactly what was coming. The Lord will show ,and then it will come. If you know him you will be prepared, if you don’t then you’re going to be caught off guard.

verse 21 – 29

Ezekiel says, that the word of the Lord came to him: Son of man what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel:The days go by and visions come to nothing? say to them This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it in Israel. say to them, the days are near when every vision will be fulfilled. For there will be no more false visions or flattering divinations among the people of Israel. But the Lord will speak what I will, and it shall be fulfilled without delay. For in your days, you rebellious house, I will fulfill whatever I say, declares the sovereign Lord.

Ezekiel says the word of the Lord came to him Son of man, the house of Israel is saying , The vision he sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies about distant future. Therefore say to them, this is what the sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer whatever I say will be fulfilled declares the sovereign Lord.

The Job of a prophet can be hard, I am learning that in this chapter. yes as a prophet you take on the pain of others, the struggle, the ache, the famine. as I was writing this blog I realized the lesson was more deep than the Exile of the house of Israel I realized it was a lesson for those that call themselves prophets of those who God has called to be prophets but have not stepped in to the prophetic I suggest you build a strong foundation in faith is that’s where you are going. as a prophet you take on every battle physically that’s what this chapter tells us. Please don’t fear that, because her’s something that we learn also is that you will also stay in the presence of the Lord.

Now for the Important Part, If you are looking for Salvation. google, download the free bible app or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you shall be saved, stay in your bible study the word and allow God to reveal himself to you. God Bless you

Ezekiel Chapter 10

Glory departs from the Temple

verse 1-5

Ezekiel says that he looked and saw the likeness of a throne made of sapphire that was above the expanse, which were over the head of the cherubim. He says the Lord said to the man clothed in linen, to Go in the wheels under the cherubim , fill your hands with burning coals from among the cherubim. and scatter them over the city. Ezekiel says that as he watched the man in linen went in.

Ezekiel explans when the man in linen went in the cherubim was standing on the south side of the temple. a cloud filled the inner court. Then the Glory of the Lord rose from above the cherubim and moved to the threshold of temple, The cloud filled the temple and the court was filled with radiance of the Glory of the Lord. Ezekiel explains that the sound of the wings of the cherubims could be hears as far as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.

verse 6-14

Ezekiel tells us when the Lord commanded the man in linen to take fire from the cherubim, the man went in and stood beside a wheel. Then one of the cherubim reached out his hand toward the fire. he took some of it and put it in the hands of the man in linen, Ezekiel said then the man took it and went out. ( Under the wings of the cherubim was what looked like the hands of a man) Ezekiel says he saw beside the cherubim four wheels, one beside each of the cherubim; the wheels sparkled like chrysolite.

wp-1468371924788.jpg The four of them looked alike; each was like a wheel intersecting a wheel. As they moved they would go in any one of the four that the cherubim faced, the wheels did not turn about. The cherubim went in what ever direction the head faced; their entire bodies including their backs, hands, wings were full of eyes, and so were the wheels. Ezekiel says he heard the wheels being called the whirling wheels. The cherubim had four faces one of a cherub, one of a man, one of a lion and one of an eagle.

verse 15-20

Ezekiel tells us that the Cherubim rose upward. These were the living creatures that he  had seen by the Kebar River. When the Cherubim moved the wheels beside them moved; and when the cherubim spread their wings to rise from the ground, the wheels did not leave their sides. when the cherubim stood still the wheels stood still. when the cherubim rose they rose with them. because the spirit of the living creature was in them.20121120-161130

Ezekiel says then the Glory of the Lord departed from the threshold of the temple and stopped above the cherubim. While Ezekiel watched the cherubim spread there wings and rose from the ground, as they went the wheels went with them as they stopped at the entrance to the east gate of the Lords house, and the Glory of God of Israel was above them.

The living creatures that Ezekiel saw at the kebar river he had realized was cherubim.ezekiel-chapter-1

This chapter is built on information and that’s why I didn’t interrupt I pray that you received some answers about what a cherubim looks like from this chapter

Ezekiel Chapter 8 Idolatry in the temple

Verse 1-4

Ezekiel starts off explaining to us that in the 6th year, in the 6th month on the fifth day , he was sitting with the elders of Judah. The hand of the sovereign Lord came on him. Ezekiel said he looked and he saw a figure of a man, it appeared to be fire from the waist down, and up his appearance was glowing like metal. Ezekiel said that the figure stretched out his hand and took him (Ezekiel) by the hair. He says, the spirit lifted him up between the heavens, and Earth and in visions of God he took him to Jerusalem. The spirit took him to the entrance of the north gate of the inner court, where the idol that provokes to jealousy stood. and there before him (Ezekiel) was the glory of the God of Israel. Ezekiel says that he was just the same as in his vision.

I am learning when God wants you, he calls you, and puts you right in front of what he wants of you. I could only Imagine being so upright and committed to your walk with God that he shows himself. How many of you are waiting for that moment? I know I am.

verse 5-11

Ezekiel says the Lord says to him. “Son of man , look toward the north.” Ezekiel says he looked and he saw the idol of jealousy in the entrance of the gate. He says that the Lord said to him “Son of man do you see what they are doing here – the utterly detestable things the house of Israel is doing here, things that will drive me far from my sanctuary? but you will see things that are even more detestable”

Then the Lord brought him to the entrance to the court. Ezekiel says he say a hole in the wall, and the Lord told him to dig in the wall and he dug into the wall in saw a doorway there. The Lord told Ezekiel to go into the door and see the wicked and detestable things that they are doing. Ezekiel says he went in and say all kinds of crawling things and detestable animals all the idols of the house of Israel. In  front of the idols were all the elders of Israel, and Jaazaniah son of shaphan was standing among them. Each had a censer in his hand, and a fragrant cloud of incense was rising.

My God, the Lord showed Ezekiel what was going on.  Before the Lord sends us to do something he will show us. There are no surprise when you are walking with the Lord. he will warn you of the dangers, the troubles, and the blessing if you build your relationship and allow yourself to live in the spirit and not the flesh. Our flesh will tell us many things that are not of God and it will take away what God gives us organically.

verse 12-15

The Lord said to Ezekiel “Have you seen what the elders of Israel are doing in the darkness, Each at the shrine of his own idol? ‘They say the Lord does not see us; the Lord has forsaken the land.'” the Lord says to Ezekiel “You will see them doing things even more detestable.” Ezekiel says then the Lord brought him to the entrance to the north gate of the house of the Lord, and he saw the women sitting there, mourning for Tammuz. the Lord said to Ezekiel ” Do you see this son of man? You will see things even more detestable than this.”

The Lord showed Ezekiel what the people of Israel was doing. They were stating that the Lord wasn’t there for them. We sometimes do that; when we are worrying about getting more money, and want the new car or whatever new thing that comes out. We start getting anxious about how to get it. We are doing just as the people of Israel; Idolizing things, and money. I’m not saying that you can’t want for things, I’m saying you should want for God more than you want for things.

verse 16-18

The Lord then brought Ezekiel to the inner court of the house of the Lord, and their at the entrance to the temple, between the portico and the altar were about 25 men. With there backs toward the temple and there faces toward the east, they were bowing down to the son of the east. The Lord said to Ezekiel ” Have you seen this Son of man? Is it trivial matter for the house of Judah to do the detestable things they are doing here? Must they also fill the Land with violence and continually provoke me to anger? Look at them putting the branch to their nose! Therefore I will deal with them in anger; I will not look on them with pity or spare them. Although they shout in my ears, I will not listen to them.”

We can’t sit on the fence and think it will not anger God. we can’t move toward the things in this land and worship the things that we have in our households and think God is going to be okay. You may ask, what we can’t have nice things? Yes ! you can have nice things but don’t base the thread of who you are on what you have. The thread of who you are should be based on who you serve! God say’s this is the time for us to be faithful to our relationships with him, now is the time to release the spirit with in, and serve in our purpose. best put by the Jones family he wants it all

Now for the Important part If you are looking to begin your relationship with the sovereign God google, download the free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord,  and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Get in to the word, start a prayer life and build your relationship with the Soveriegn God.
