Blessings everyone,

I pray that you all are doing well, and nothing is standing in your way. When we are moving in the will of God. There will be things that comes up in your life to distract you. It sometimes and most of the times will be the things that once rocked your whole foundation. Don’t let it, remember that you came out on the other side of the problem well, and you will do it again.

Matthew Chapter 9

Jesus Heals a Paralyzed Man

Verse 1 – 8

The word says that Jesus went into his own tow, and there the men brought a man to him paralyzed. Jesus saw their faith, and told the man that his sins were forgiven the word says Take heart

The teachers of the law saw this and said to themselves “this man is blaspheming.” Because Jesus knows their thoughts, he asked them why they thought so evil. He asked them if it was easier your sins are forgiven, than get up and walk? Jesus says this so we would know that the son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins.

Jesus tells the paralyzed man to get up and take his mat and go home. The word says the man got up and went home. The people praised God, who had given men this authority.

In this teaching Jesus shows us that we have the power to command, we have the authority to forgive sin. We walk around with lack of self-worth with so much power inside of us. The paralyzed man is us stuck in our circumstances we can’t seem to me because we don’t think we have the power to move out of it.

God has given us authority on this earth, to go forward and prosper, but he has also given us the gift of free will, to walk or sit. The question is what are you going to do with your power?

Verse 9 – 13

Jesus Eats with Sinners at Matthews House

The word says when Jesus left from the paralyzed man he saw a man name Matthew who was sitting in the tax collector’s booth. Jesus told the man to follow him, and Matthew got up and followed him.

As Jesus was having dinner at Matthews house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.

The word says when the Pharisees seen this they asked his disciples, why Jesus was eating with the tax collectors and the sinners?

It’s not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick.

But go learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.

For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.

This word blew my mind, let’s talk about the real. Yes, we seek fellowship and to be around like-minded individuals. Let me say this on this blog first, I am not here for the righteous but for the sinner. This scripture made me realize why the Lord named the blog from sinner to saint, it’s here for the those that are looking for God, to help those that know him but have not yet established a relationship, and for those that just want to be filled by him.

Praise God for placing us here to help each other. We cannot deny the sinner we are not better than them, we are to have mercy. I Jesus came and walked the way we should be walking then we were meant to not expect sacrifice, but desire mercy, may God have mercy on them and me.

Verse 14 – 17

Religious Leaders Ask Jesus about Fasting

The word says that John’s disciples asked Jesus why he and the Pharisees fast but Jesus and his disciples doesn’t? Jesus answered by saying how can the guest of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them; then they will fast.

Jesus says no one will sew an unshrunk patch on old clothes because the patch will pull away from the garment making the tear worse. Nor will you pour new wine in old wineskins, if they do the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskin will be ruined, so they pour new wine in a new wineskin and both are preserved.

This word is real Jesus was there to do a new thing. When he speaks about the patch he is talking about the old religious ways. If he did what they did it would be worst. Jesus and his disciples were spending as much time together teaching and learning with the many that followed. They would not mourn, there would be a time for them to fast.

When we fast, we are releasing the old a purge we are coming from the fast new, changed. When doing a new thing you can’t mix it with the old, when expecting a new blessing God isn’t going to pour it out on your old ways.

Verse 18 – 26

Jesus Heals a Bleeding Woman and Restores a Girl to Life

The word when Jesus was talking about fasting a ruler knelt before him and told him that his daughter had died, he told Jesus to come put his hand on her and she will live. (command)  Jesus got up and went with him.

The word says just then a woman who had been suffering with bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, she said to herself “ If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”

Jesus turned and saw her and told her to “take heart your faith has healed you” and the woman was healed from that moment.

The word goes on to tell us when Jesus entered the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd, he told them to go away. Jesus told them that the girl was not dead, but asleep. But they laughed at him. After the crowd was gone Jesus went to the girl touched her hand and she got up. The news spreads through the region.

The king with authority new that Jesus would bring his daughter back, the woman with blood knew that all she needed was to touch him. But Jesus said take heart, relax your worry. Your faith has healed you.

Our authority is in our faith, to know that God is real and will bring us from whatever we are coming from, going through, and moving toward. Are you walking in the power of your authority? Are you moving by faith? Are you ready to take heart?

Verse 27- 34

Jesus Heals the Blind and Mute

The word says Jesus went on from there, and two blind men followed him calling out have mercy son of David! When Jesus went indoors the blind men came to him and Jesus asked them Did they believe that he is able to do what they ask of him? they replied yes, Lord.

Jesus touched their eyes and said

According to your faith, it will be done to you?

And their sight was restored, Jesus warned them sternly make sure no one knows about this. But they went out and spread the news to the region.

The word says while the men were going out a man who was demon possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus. When the demon was driven out the man was able to speak. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.” The word says but the Pharisees said “It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons.

Our faith is the key, we serve a God of impossible so wouldn’t what he does be never before seen. My favorite saying is, if you want to see God go and do the impossible, that will be a faith walk, a walk on water. When folks don’t understand what God is doing they will typically say it is the devil it’s demonic. Remember they are not supposed to understand what God is doing through you so don’t expect them to.

Verse 35 – 38

Jesus Urges the Disciples to pray for workers

The verse starts by telling us that Jesus went through all the villages and towns techin in the synagogues, preaching the word of God and healing sickness and discomfort. When he saw the people he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Jesus said to his disciples the harvest is plenty but the workers are few. Jesus tells his disciples to ask the Lord for a harvest so we can send out workers into his harvest field.

This scripture is very important. One day the Lord showed me that we are the Trees of knowledge and we are Eden. When we are growing in the Lord being nurtured in to goodness, we have bountiful harvests. Everything that comes from us is good. Jesus had compassion for the people because they didn’t know how beautiful they could be. We don’t know how beautiful we can be. When we lack faith in God we are walking around worried about so many unimportant things. Sometimes it can be a problem only God can solve, those are the times to just wait in his presence.

Are you ready to be a worker are you ready to plant a seed for the harvest? Did you know that that can just be praying that someone gets to walk the path of righteousness? However God moves you are you ready to walk in faith, are you ready to be that tree of Knowledge that God tells you, you are? Here is your free will, you know of what is good and you know of what is evil, now you decide. Amen

Now for the most Important part, if you are looking to build your foundation in faith, you can Google, download a free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans chapter 10:9 and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. Begin to build your foundation of faith with bible study, fellowship, worship and prayer.

Matthew Chapter 8

cropped-logo_2042734_web.jpg

Blessings everyone,

I pray that you all are moving in faith. With a sound mind in God. The word reminds us that a wise man will build his house on rock and not sand, for when a storm comes a house on sand will sink.

Matthews Chapter 8

Verse 1 – 4

Jesus Performs many Miracles

These verses are on Jesus healing the man with Leprosy.

The word says when Jesus came down from the mountain crowds followed him. There was a man with leprosy that came and knelt in front of him. The man asked Jesus to make him mclean.

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man and said

“I am willing, you are cleaned.”

Jesus told the man not to tell anyone who healed him, but to show himself to the priest and offer the gifts that Moses commanded as a testimony.

When we are walking in the miracles of God there is no need to tell it on the mountain when a person see’s us then they will know exactly what is going on. I am guilty of telling it on the mountain. I can never seem to hold what God is doing in my life. This scripture I will pray into my life. Let my healing be my testimony.

Verse 5 – 13

A Roman Centurion Demonstrates Faith

The word says that when Jesus went into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for his help. There was a servant that was laying paralyzed in terrible suffering.

Jesus says to the man “ I will go, and heal him”

The man begins to tell Jesus that he does not deserve to have Jesus under his roof but if Jesus would just say the word, and the servant is healed. The man begins to tell Jesus that he is a man of authority as well and if he tells his servants to go and do something they will go.

Jesus was astonished to her what the man said. The word says that Jesus said to the people that he has never seen anyone with such great faith. Jesus says many will come from the east and the west and take their place at the feast with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside in to the darkness.

Jesus tells the man to go! It will be done just a you believe it would.” And the servant was healed at that very hour.

We can be subjects of the word of God but it is when we move in faith that God has the power and authority to heal and fix all things is when we move toward that feast. You must believe in God’s power to be obedient.

Verse 14 – 17

Jesus heals peters mother-in- law and many others.

The word says that when Jesus came in peters house Peter’s mother in law was laying ing the bed dying from fever. Jesus touched her hand and the fever left her body and she got up and waited on him.

The word says when the evening came many who were demon possessed were brought to him. And he drove out spirits and healed all sick

“He took our infirmities, and carried our diseases.”

One thing came to my head when reading this part. We do not live in a day where people believe in miracles, signs, and wonders. We believe in a day where those that are believers doubt that they could be healed our mouths say won’t he do it and our brains say what am I going to do.

Verse 18 – 23

Jesus Teaches about the cost of following Him.

The word says when Jesus saw the crowd that followed him, he told everyone to cross to the other side of the lake. The word says a man who was a teacher of the law, came up to Jesus and said Teacher I will follow you wherever you go.

Jesus told the man that Foxes have holes and birds have nest, but the Son of man has no place to lay his head.

Another man told Jesus, that once he bury his father he will go with him and Jesus told him let the dead bury the dead and follow him.

We must be willing to understand that following Jesus may not mean stability. You’re going to have to take those risks on faith. Jesus didn’t have a place to live he was moving on faith that just like that fox had a hole and the bird had a nest that God will provide our place while we are moving forward.

When Jesus told the man to let the dead bury the dead. He may have been telling the man to follow him and live. God is like that our faith walk has us move from the things that are not of God. The man that wanted to go bury his father may have tried to put off walking in faith with Jesus. This will happen to us, when we begin to start following Jesus things will try to distract us. Remember that all things that isn’t of God does not give us life, we will have to be able to make the decision to let the dead bury the dead and live in Jesus name.

Verse 23-27

Jesus calms the storm

The word says that when Jesus got into the boat his disciples followed him and then a furious storm appeared, the waves crashed over the boat. The word says that Jesus was sleeping and his disciples woke him up saying “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

The Lord replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then the Lord got up and rebuked the storm and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and said “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey.

I have always believed that when we sleep God comes and spends time with us. Why not rest during a storm? When you rest during a storm you spend your time in faith. Not stressing about how are you going to fix it. When your faith is strong you know that God has given you the authority to tell that storm to go that it is not the center of your universe.

When we are moving in faith we cannot worry about the storm, worrying about the storm says that we lack confidence in the power of God, you cannot be a believer and doubt God.

Matthew Chapter 6

cropped-logo_2042734_web.jpg

Blessings everyone,

I pray that you all are going forth with full power, not half power but full power. When we walk in faith, we are walking with God, we are allowing God to led us in to everyplace that he knows that we will soar in. So today where ever God is leading you please go forth in the full power that God has gifted you in.

To the followers of from Sinner to saint Blog welcome thanks for joining me in bible study, you all are so very much appreciated.

Matthew Chapter 6

Jesus Teaches about giving to the needy

Verse 1- 4

Jesus Teaches us to be careful not to display our righteous acts, for everyone to see. The word says If you do, you will have no reward from your father in heaven. The Lord says be sure not to announce your charitable deeds with trumpets like the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. The Lord says when you give to the needy, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving maybe in secret. Then your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Praise God, this verse is very important especially in this day. I have scrolled on Facebook and seen videos of people feeding the homeless and just had to press record.  When we have been moved in our heart to do something for someone else and we have the means to do that thing. The Lord says that it is important that we go forth in secret if you press play for a praise from others then you have been rewarded already.

You can’t serve two gods so either you go forth and get the praise from man, or you go forth and allow the lord to open the storehouse and pour out your reward. I don’t know about you but if I am obeying the Lord by helping someone who needs me then I don’t want the praise of man, because the praise isn’t for us it’s for God who gave us the means to provide what was needed.

Verse 5 – 15

Jesus Teaches about Prayer

Jesus has spoken to us about praying, we are told not to go and pray standing out in other places, but to go to a room, close the door, and pray to your father, who is unseen. Then your father sees what you have done in secret, he will reward you. Jesus says and when you pray do not keep babbling like pagans, because they think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them for your father knows what you need before you ask him. Jesus says this is how you should pray:

Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be your name,

Your kingdom come,

Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our debts,

Has we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from the evil one.

Jesus says If you forgive men who sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your father will not forgive your sins.

The word tells us that when we pray go to a quiet place so that you can hear the Lord. When we are in church and we are in the street we pray in fellowship but we should be spending personal time with God.

Jesus shows how to begin our prayers. When we pray we are saying, Our father in heaven Holy is your name. we are asking God to lead us by his will on this earth as he has placed in heaven. God places us high, we place ourselves low. Anything that we would like to have God wants us to have better. we cannot even imagine the things that we could have. I am not only talking about material, if you are going to God for material things then you are going for the things that you idealize. I’m talking about better spiritually because you can have all the material things that you desire and still feel empty. You want peace of mind in a beautiful place, you want to be filled with the glory of God and your overflow will surround you. We want God to give us our instruction for the day, our daily lessons. We want the father to forgive us for the things that we owe him. Forgive us for not spending time with him, forgive us for not following his law, forgive us for not listening to his instructions. when we don’t deposit in to the storehouse how can we expect to have a bountiful overflow when the lord opens the storehouse (If you want to know more about the storehouse, go to Deuteronomy chapter 28). We make a covenant to forgive those who take away from us, forgive those that owe us. We ask God to not lead into temptation, but keep us from evil.

Anything that you want from the Father he already knows, he knows all things, so while we have finished the begin of the prayer, we are to be ready to praise him for already fixing it. Our faith is knowing that everything that comes our way has already been fixed and prepped better.

we can’t go around thinking we are too good to forgive someone who has wronged us, and expect God to forgive us. We should be ready to say if you did this to me or that to me, then you must have been fighting a spiritual battle that you lost. I am not mad at you, I will offer pray for your strength the next time your spirit goes to war.

Verse 16 – 18

Jesus teaches about fasting

Jesus tells us that when we fast, don’t walk around looking somber to show people that you are fasting. Jesus says when you are fasting put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it is not obvious to men that you are fasting, but to the Father, and he sees what you have done and he will reward you.

We should not be walking around looking distressed and hungry when we are fasting. When we are fasting, we are in God’s presence and we should not be worried about who knows that we are fasting. Your fast isn’t about others it is about you and God. Now if you are led to have a group fast, you’re not going to be walking around like it is the worst thing you ever done, and you can’t wait to be finished. You should be walking with the glory of God on you.

Verse 19-24

Jesus teaches about money

Jesus teaches not to horde the treasures that is of this earth, but to horde the treasures of heaven. Because where your treasures are, your heart will be

No need to rush out to get new things to put on display, do not need to break our back to make money to have the best of everything for ourselves. when we are more worried about making money for ourselves we are busy in selfishness. We are not busy for the spiritual purposes, matter of fact we are so busy on our hustle for more money, more things, that we let days, weeks, months go by before we spent time with God. We lose focus on what the true treasure is, like I said earlier you can have all the material things and the best of them but if you  aren’t linked to God your spirit is still going to feel empty, you’re in debt with God.

Verse 25 – 33

Jesus Teaches about Worry

Jesus tells us not to worry about food and clothes, Jesus askes us; isn’t your life and your body more important than food and clothes? Jesus reminds us to look at the birds, they do not sow, reap, or store, and doesn’t the Father provide for them, aren’t you more valuable to him than they are? Jesus asks; by worrying can you add an hour to your life?

Jesus says O’ you of little faith? Do not worry about what to eat or what to drink or what you’re going to wear. Your father knows that you need them, seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble.

Amen I cannot say it enough when we worry about things of this earth, we eliminate faith. Our worry, especially to a believe says that God isn’t Sovereign. I’m not saying it’s easy, what I am saying is keep moving in God’s presence so that you may be led to the things of God, and anything that is of God is good.

Be Blessed

Now for the most Important part, if you are looking to build your foundation in faith, you can Google, download a free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans chapter 10:9 and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. Matthew Chapter 5

cropped-logo_2042734_web.jpg

Blessings everyone,

I pray that you all are going through this day with the grace of God. It is amazing all the things that God does on an everyday basis. If we take the time to look around at the way that God shifts then you will catch a living testimony in the process.

Matthew Chapter 5

Verse 1 – 12

The scripture says when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountain and sat down. His disciples came to him and he began to teach them. The Lord said

Blessed are the poor in spirit,

For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn,

For they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,

For they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

For they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful,

For they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure heart,

For they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,

For they will be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,

For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The Lord continues saying blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

When we go forth we know that many things and people will come at us the wrong way, testing us to see if our joy will shake, if our faith will crumble it is in the words of Jesus Christ, what should be remembered at that time. Your spirit has been knocked around Jesus says in verse 3 you have the kingdom of heaven. You are rich, your spirit is rich there is no need to feel like you are less than, you have the key to the kingdom. You are suffering a loss, you will be comforted God will do it for you. You will just need to go to him for all things. Praise God!

Verse 13-16

Jesus teaches about salt and light

The Lord tells us that we are what makes the earth better, if we lose our better if we lose our zeal for God then we aren’t going to be able to produce good. We will just be a waste.

The Lord tells us that we are the light of the world. We were not meant to be hidden and stand down. We were meant to be placed high so that everyone can be able to see what God has revealed through us. We are to bring Gods light to dark places.

In this day we look at the people on the street speaking Gods word like they are crazy and there are many of you that have been called to be evangelist and to go and shine Gods light in dark places but you don’t want others to call you crazy because you are speaking God’s word. I hear the Lord saying remember Jeremiah. Stand on my word!

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Verse 17-20

Jesus teaches about Law

Jesus reminds us that he didn’t come to remove the Law he came to fulfill  Gods words through the prophet. Jesus says until the heaven and earth disappears no word from the law will disappear until everything is accomplished. If you think that you can break any commandment and teach someone else how to break any commandments you will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus says unless your righteousness surpasses a Pharisees and the teachers of law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven

Amen we haven’t seen the heaven and earth disappear so there is no reason that we should be editing the commandments to fit our lifestyle. What I am noticing is that parents no longer teach their children to follow the ten commandments. If we start training our children on Gods law there they will find him and peace of mind.

We want our children to be kingdom kids, and even though we are walking toward righteousness we must get our households in order. Start to make affirmation with the commandments

I am one who does not put another god before the true and living God.

I am one who does not make Idols

Begin to speak God’s law over your life and the lives of the people around you.

Verse 21- 26

Jesus teaches about anger

Jesus teaches us that yes, we were told not to kill or we will be judged. Jesus says but if you anger with you brother you will be Judged as well. The Lord says you can’t come to the alter with anger against someone else. Reconcile and then bring your gift to the alter. The Lord says settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court, you will be handed over and won’t get out until you have paid the last penny.

We must fix the situation because we really don’t need an ugly seed of anger growing with our mustard seed that’s like weeds in the garden. The Lord reminds us that we must pay our debt.

Verse 27 – 30

Jesus teaches about lust

The Lord teaches us that if anyone who is married look at another person lustfully has already committed adultery in their heart. The lord tells us that if we want to blame a body part for our sin, then get rid of the body part. You should rather lose that body part then to go to hell.

We should not allow even ourselves to keep us from obeying Gods Law

Verse 31 – 32

The Lord tells us that unless our mate committed marital unfaithfulness if you move on to another person it will be still adultery.

We should be able to work things out we should be able to figure each other out when we are married. Currently, we do not take the time to get to know each other and spend time knowing each other’s people. These are things that we are supposed to do before we make the comitment of marriage. Some just want the big wedding and so marriage has stopped being taken so serious. Family is anointed by God and somewhere in the shift of generations we have moved from traditional and started editing the order of things. We want everything quickly not realizing that slow cooked things tend to linger longer.

Verse 33-37

Jesus teaches about vows

The Lord teaches us not to break our oath, to keep the oaths that we have made with the Lord. The Lord tells us not to swear on heaven because it is Gods throne and do not swear on the earth because it is Gods footstool or by Jerusalem because it is the city of the great king. Let your yes be yes and your no be no.

We must remember to stand on our word if you say you are going to do something follow through. If you tell God that you are going to do something follow through. We break promises to God all the time.“ Lord, if you get me out of this, I will make sure I do that” And the Lord comes through on his behalf and he sitting there waiting earth years for you to move.

Verse 38-42

Jesus teaches about retaliation

The Lord teaches yes you heard and eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. But do not withhold and evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek turn the other cheek. If someone wants to take your shirt give them your jacket as well. If someone forces you to go a mile, you go two miles. The Lord says give to the one who wants to borrow from you.

I believe a lot of people do not believe in this part of the scripture. What I will ask you is Do you have faith? Everything that was said in verses 1- 12 is the reason that you do not worry about what people do think or want. If someone hits your cheek do you not believe that Gods reaction is more solid then yours. Your reaction will have you walking away feeling convicted. If someone asks you to go beyond the earth, do you believe that the Lord will tenfold your sacrifice. Our faith should surpass our reactions.

Verse 43-48

Jesus says it was once told to love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But you should love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. That you may be sons of your father in heaven. Jesus asks if you love those who love you what reward will you get? Be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect

If we walked around helping just those who help us what satisfaction will you get. We are here to shine bright so what do you do shut the light off for those that you don’t know who are trying to climb over a hurdle.

I Samuel Chapter 30

cropped-logo_2042734_web.jpg

Blessing everyone,

I pray that you are working within the Lord’s presences, when we are building a Foundation of Faith, one of the most important things to know is; we can’t do it alone. We are not meant to do it alone. Gen 2:18 tells us that it is not good for a man to be alone. (you may say come on Wilhelmina that is referring to a man and a woman) Lev 25:35 If one of your countrymen becomes poor and unable to support himself among you, help him as you would an alien or a temporary resident, so he can continue to live among you. This shows us that it is not good for man to be alone or anyone for that matter. When we begin to have children, we were given more helpers. We are born as a helper in our tribe. When two or more are gathered God is in our mist. (you and your helpers) Last one, and when there is no help; Psalm 72:12 For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. We can’t do it on our own, it is not only our responsibility to each other it is one of our commandments, and for those who can’t get any help the Lord steps in and shifts things and then places divine help.

I Samuel Chapter 30

David destroys the Amalekites

Verse 1 -10

The word says that on the third day David and his men Ziklag and the Amelikites had raided Negev and Ziklag. They had burned it, taken the women captive old and young they didn’t kill anyone but they took them and went on their way.

The word says that the men cried out loud until they had no strength. Their wives and children were taken including David’s. The men wanted to stone David, they blamed him for this. But David found strength in the Lord. David told Abiathar to bring him the ephod, when Abiathat brought the ephod David inquired of the Lord

“shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I take them over?”

The Lord responded

“pursue them, you will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue”

The word says six hundred men went with him where two hundred were too tired to continue and the four hundred went on.

I’m going to jump the gun remember when the Lord told Saul to destroy the Amalekites (see chapter 15) are you thinking what I’m thinking. David is going to do what Saul failed to do. But I’m going to hold it this isn’t a long chapter lets continue.

Verse 10 -31

The word says that David’s men brought an Egyptian to him and they feed him and gave him water (remember Lev 25:35) the word says that the Egyptian was revived he had not eaten or drunk anything for three days and three nights.

David asked the man to whom do you belong? And the Egyptian man told David that he was a slave abandoned by his master an Amalekite when he became ill. He told David all the places that they raided which included Negev and burning down Ziklag

David asked the Egyptian slave if he could lead him to the raid party, and the slave was willing as long as David wouldn’t kill him or hand him to his master. The Egyptian slave led David to where the Amalekites were and they were spread over the country side enjoying the plunder of their raids; the word says that David fought them from dusk until the evening of the next day. David recovered everything that the Amalekites took including his two wives. He took the flock and herds, and his men drove everything ahead of him saying “This is David’s plunder”

On their way back, they came to the ravine where the two hundred men were, the evil men among David said that the men that didn’t go should get nothing, but they can take their wives and children and go. David told his men No, they must not do that with what the Lord has given you, the Lord has protected us, and handed over the forces that came up against us.

David told his men that the share of the men who stayed behind well be the same as the men who went to battle.

The word says when David got back to Ziklag he sent some of the plunder to the elders of Judah they were his friends with the message

“Here is a present for you, from the plunder of the enemy”

David sent plunder to friends in Bethel, Ramoth, Negev, and Jattir, Aroe, Siphmoth

,Eshtemoa, and Racal he also sent to Jerahmeelites. Kenites, and people in Hormah, Bor Ashan,  Athach and Hebron and all the other places that he had roamed.

When the Lord told David to go forth to recover what was taken from the Amalekites, the Amalekites that the Lord told Saul to destroy. Now here it’s been put into position for David to be on one Accord with God, and things have been shifted to make sure that it is strategically played out.

The Lord provided help for David, the Egyptian slave had gotten sick, and was left behind to die, the Lord sent him help, the Lord positioned David to be there to help the slave, the Lord had positioned the slave to David.

We all have to be ready and in position to help, and to except help. In the intro without readying the chapter the Lord gave me scripture on help. Whomever this word is for, be ready to help, be ready to except help.

Now for the most Important part, if you are looking to build your foundation in faith, you can Google, download a free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans chapter 10:9 and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. I Samuel Chapter 29

Achish sends David Back to Ziklag

 Verse 1 – 7

The word says the Philistines had gathered their forces at Aphek and Israel camped by the spring in Jezreel.  As the Philistines were marching the word says there were hundreds and thousands of them. David and his men were at the rear. The commander asked Achish

“What about the Hebrews?”

Achish reminded them of who David was, and confirmed that David had been faith to him and gave him no reason to think that he would betray him. The word says Philistines commanders were angry and told Achish to send David back. The Philistines worried that when they got to battle. that David would turn on them to please Saul. They said isn’t this the David that they sing about

”’Saul has slain his thousands,

And David his ten thousands’?”

The word says that Achish said to David” as surely as the Lord lives you have been reliable” Achish begin to tell David that the Philistine commanders didn’t want him and he begin to tell David why?

Let me tell you, There will be some places that we are not meant to go. Let me repeat there are some places that we are not meant to go. Let’s move forward so that you know why.

Verse 9 – 11

The word says that David asked Achish  ’haven’t I been reliable?’ and Achish assured David that it was not him who didn’t want him there, but the commanders of Philistines were not happy with his presence.

The word says David then went back to the lands of the Philistines in the early morning, and the Philistines went to Jezreel.

I’m going to say this, there are places that we can go, and there are places that we can’t go. The Lord will shift you at the right time. Remember the Lord said to David don’t touch his anointed (please see other chapters 24&26). Now let’s say that David ended up going with the Philistines and he killed Saul by accident, their will go his obedience his instruction was to not touch the Lord’s anointed.

At times, we know we are not to be in a place, you know because it will trouble your spirit. Be ready to move when someone says I love you, but you can’t be here right now.

Now for the most Important part If you are looking to build your foundation in faith, you can Google, download a free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans chapter 10:9 and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. I Samuel Chapter 26

David again spares Saul’s life

Verse 1 – 12

The word of the Lord says, the Ziphites went to Saul and said isn’t David hiding in the hill of Hakilah, which faces Jeshimon?  Saul went to the desert of Ziph, with his three thousand chosen men of Israel, to search there for David. Saul made a camp and waited for David beside the road on the hill the word says that David stayed in the desert. When he saw that Saul was following him he sent someone to check and found that Saul had defiantly arrived.

David asked three of his men who would go with him in to the camp and Abishai said that he would go. That night David and Abishai went to the camp of Saul and his men, they saw Saul and his men sleeping. Saul’s spear was in the ground right beside his head. Abishai said to David, today God has handed Saul to you. Abishai asks David “now let me pin him to the ground with  one thrust of my spear, I won’t strike him twice” David answered Abishai saying “ Don’t destroy him, who can lay a finger on the Lord’s anointed and be guiltless? As surely as the Lord lives” David continues to tell Abishai that God will strike Saul when it is time, but he cannot lay a hand on the Lord’s anointing. David took the spear and a jug of water from near Saul’s head and moved it.

Praise God this reminds us that there is no reason to be petty or play the tit for tat game. These are the reason we say may God have mercy on your soul. If someone tries to attack you or destroy you, we are to allow God to determine what will happen to them. This is the reason why we look to the left in the right.

Yes there are times it may feel like the flesh will win the battle but remember David, he had a man chasing him even when they had squashed the problem, and Saul just kept coming back. Even if Saul did kill David, he would still been dealt with.  If David had gone against God’s instruction then he would have been walking in Saul’s position left with an evil spirit from the spirit of God leaving him. So instead David shows him how close he was by taking to items that for certain would look for

When we open the door for retaliation, then it becomes about us not about God!

Verse 13 –  25

The word says that David crosses over to the other side and stood on a hill some distance away and called out to the army and Abner the son of Ner. David asked them why didn’t they Guard their king and then he asked them where was his spear and water jug. David to the men that the deserved to die for failing to protect their king.

Saul recognized David’s voice and said

“Is that you David my so?” David asks Saul what has done and why is he pursuing him? David says If it’s God then may he accept an offering but if it’s man then may they be cursed before the Lord. They have now driven me from my share in the Lord and inheritance, now do not let my blood fall to the ground far from the Lord. The king of Israel as come out to look for a flea, as one hunts a partridge in the mountains”

Then Saul asked David to come back home, because David considered his life precious, he told David he would not try to hurt him again, Saul says I have sinned.

David told Saul to send over a young man to get his sword. And told Saul the Lord handed him to him but he did not lay a finger on the Lord’s anointed, so may the Lord value my life and deliver me from all trouble. He reminds Saul that the Lord rewards a man for his righteousness and faithfulness,

Praise God for David’s faithfulness and righteous walk. It is important to deal with people according to what the Lord say. There will be times you will feel an internal war between your flesh and your spirit the most important thing to remember is the inheritance that God has promised.

Now for the important part, if you are looking to build your foundation on faith google, download a free bible app or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you shall be saved. Begin your walk with word study, fellowship, and worship.

I Samuel chapter 24

Verse 1- 7

The word tells us that after Saul returned from fighting the Philistines, he was told, that David was hiding in the desert En Gedi. Saul took three thousand men chosen from all if Israel to look for David and his men.

They came to a sheep’s pen and there was a cave. The word says Saul went in to relieve himself. David and his men were far back in the cave. David’s men told him this is the day the Lord spoke

“I will give your enemy into your hands for you to deal with as you wish”

The word says then David crept up and cut a corner of Saul’s robe. The word says David was conscience stricken. David tells his men that “the Lord forbid that I should do such a thing to my master, the Lord’s anionted, or lift my hand against him; for he is the anointed if the lord” the word says David rebuked his men and didn’t allow them to attack Saul.

The verses remind us that once anointed always anointed.  The enemy was using Saul through anger and Jealousy. Saul was thinking with a angry heart that was developed from Jealousy.

The Lord put Saul in David’s hands not what David did was going to determine who he was and where he stood in his walk in faith.

Had David killed Saul he would have been acting out of flesh not spirit. The Lord didn’t tell Saul to kill David “He said do to him as you wish” and at the moment of choice The Lord quickly reminded David of Saul’s anionting.

Romans 12:17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody

Verse 8 -13

The word says then David went out of the cave and called out to Saul. The word says when Saul turned around David was bowed down and prostrated himself. David asked Saul why was he listening to men that said he wanted to harm him? David tells Saul he could have killed him that day. David remind Saul that he had not wronged him but yet he is hunted. David say may the Lord judge between us. David remindsSaul of the saying.

From evildoers come evil deeds

So his hand will not touch him.

It was important for David to remind Saul of why he was hunting David. It was important for Saul to see that his life was spared.

Verse 14 -22

Saul says to David you are more righteous then me, you have treated me well, but I have treated you badly. Saul recognized his faults and he and David made an oath that David would not leave out Saul’s decendants when he is king.

Praise God David would not had been able to fully walk out his purpose if he would have killed Saul. He had to walk in forgiveness. He knew he didn’t do anything to Saul but Saul’s actions could have brought further from God he could have been controlled by anger which would have been developed by unforgiveness. David turned it around he rejected the seed of anger from being planted in his spirit. Then reminded Saul of his anointing. Glory be to God

1 Samuel chapter 21

Verse 1 – 10

Saul pursues David

The word of God says David went to Nob where there was a priest by the name of Ahimelech, the word says that the priest trembled when he met David. He asked David where was his men, David told him that he left the men behind because the king sent him on a private mission. David asked Ahimelech for five loaves of bread. Ahimelech told David that he didn’t have loaves of bread but he did have consecrated bread just as long as his men hadn’t touched a woman. David asked the priest for a sword and Ahimelech told David that the sword of Goliath was there wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. David took the sword saying that there was none like it.

The Lord prepares jus for the purpose. I know that you have heard that before from me. The word tells us that not only God have consecrated bread waiting for him but the sword of a giant that he had already defeated. The Lord will remind us of all the battles that he has already won for us, to remind us that he can and will do it again.

Verse 11 – 15

David at Gath

The word says when David arrived in Gath the men saw him and said isn’t that David the king of the land. Isn’t he the one that the sing about Saul killed thousands, but David killed ten thousand. This scared David that they knew who he was and David pretended to act as if he was insane. The king was upset with his people because he couldn’t do anything with David.

If anything, this scripture reminds us that at times we may not know which way to go but when it is not the right directions we will know and have the knowledge to protect. Was David supposed to be king of Gath? Was he supposed to die in Gath? The answer is No, what we know is that the Lord said that David was to be king of Israel. Let’s remember that David defeated Goliath who was from Gath which means he landed in the space of Saul’s enemy. Because the people of Gath was singing the same song that upset Saul. David had gotten scared and to save his life he pretended that he was insane, because David knew that they did not kill the insane.

Now for the important part. If you are looking to build your foundation in faith download a free bible app, google, or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 confess with for mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the died and you shall be saved. Begin to build your foundation of faith through a healthy prayer life, study of the word and praise and worship.

Be Blessed

1 Samuel Chapter 17

David and Goliath

verse 1 – 11

In these verses we learn that Israel lined up to battle the Philistines. Goliath stepped out at nine feet with a challenge, If any one can kill him then the Philistine’s would be servants of Israel and if he beat the person then Israel would be servant of Philistines. Goliath stated to the men that he was defying and breaking Israel ranks and was challenging any man. His words terrified Saul and his men.

When  I was reading the verses two words came to me spirit. BOASTFUL & FEAR. When we come up against that great challenge in our lives, it may be boastful when we look at it. “You can’t have a financial break through” “Look at me,I am too high of a goal for you to reach” “letting me go! you’ll be nothing without me”. Not being able to do that one great thing, or let go of that one painful thing, will post fear in position to block you. In the scripture Goliath’s main job was to discourage and post fear in position for an attack.

verse 12 – 37

The word says that for forty days Goliath would call out his challenge every morning and every evening. Jesse, Davids father sent him to take somethings to his brothers and to there commander and go back with a report on how everyone was doing. David packed up and took his journey, when he arrived to the camp he saw that the men were on the battle lines and greeted his brothers.

The word says that David then heard Goliath bringing out his challenge. David was told that the king will pay the man who would take the challenge well, for taking down Goliath. David asked “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?”  When Davids older brother Eliab heard him speaking to the other men he became angry and told David to go back to his sheep he was just there to watch the battle. What David had said got back to Saul and Saul sent for David.

The word says that David took the challenge. Saul told him that he was just a boy and couldn’t beat a man who had been fighting since his youth. David told Saul that He had to fight lions and bears to get his sheep back. The same God that was with him then is with him now. Saul told David to Go and let the Lord be with him.

I’m sure you seen so many kind of people in these verses. When we are trying to walk in righteousness or just walk in our purpose there are going to be people who think they know your intentions (Eliab) , and then there’s going to be people who will discourage you ( Saul) . It is by faith that we live, the faith that God will come in and move us in his power. The faith that lets us know that we are over comers. David didn’t understand how these men feared Goliath, he asked where is their faith?

verse 38 – 58

The scripture tells us that Saul dressed David up in his tunic and armor, David walked around in it to get a feel but didn’t feel right so he took off everything grabbed five smooth stones and went to meet the Philistine.

When Goliath saw young handsome David he had gotten upset, he began to tell David that he will give him to the birds in the air. David told Goliath that the battle is the Lord’s and the Lord will deliver him into the hands of Israel. The word says Goliath started to rush toward David and David ran to the battle line put his stone in the sling and swung it the stone his Goliath on the forehead and the stone sunk in killing Goliath he fell face down to the ground. David ran up to Goliath took his sword and cut his head off. When the Philistines saw that Goliath was dead, they began to run away in fear and the Israelites began to chase them to Gath. The word says; when Saul saw David kill Goliath he asked his commander “whose son David was” The commander answered by telling Saul that he didn’t know. when David returned to from killing Goliath he was brought to Saul and was asked who his father was. David replied “Your servant Jesse from Bethlehem”

The story of David and Goliath will always be an over comers story. Even  when being discouraged David still went forward. When Saul tried to dress David up in his things, that was like saying David wasn’t good enough. After walking around a bit in Saul’s clothes it didn’t feel right. So what did David do, he took it off and went to the battle as himself. It’s when we bring ourselves to the battle we show God that we have faith in him to do what is needed . Not for our sake but for his sake. So they will know that He is Lord. On the first shot the stone killed Goliath. We have to put the stone in the sling shot and go to the battle line. Taking the faith that God is has created you for this purpose, then take the shot knowing that he is with you.
