Ezekiel Chapter 24

Hey Everyone,

Happy Hump day! To my followers Thanks for joining in you are so appreciated. If this is your first time here welcome let me introduce myself.

My name is Wilhelmina Lundy and I am a servant of God and some of the ways that I serve God is this bible study, also the Journey In Praise ministry if you are looking to learn more about the ministry you can go to @journeyinpraise on FaceBook and there you can connect to all the outlets don’t forget to like the page so that you can receive notification. Last there is the prayer wall, the Lord says that when two or more are gathered he is in the mist. Let me pray with you and your family. you can send your request to fromsinnertosaint103@gmail.com. Okay let’s get in to the word.

Ezekiel 24 The Cooking pot

Ezekiel says that in the ninth year, in the tenth on the on the tenth day the Lord came oto him and told him to mark the day and speak the parable. The Lord had Ezekiel to speak the parable about King Nebuchadnezzar over powering  the house of Judah. This Parable tells of meat cooking and well seasoned but yet kit ended up burning to charred so charred that it ruins the pot and the pot can’t come clean as the people of Israel can’t be cleanse. The Lord says that they won’t be clean again until his wrath subsides.

I am reminded that before we walk with christ that we think nothing of our wrong doings and sins. we treat people rude and idolize things without thinking that we may be compromising how God is looking at us. why? because we are not focused on being pleasing on him our pot is charred and can’t seem to come clean and then we repent and confess our sins and ask for forgiveness we began to walk in a way that wants to be pleasing to God and we are cleansed by the blood Mal 3:3

Ezekiel’s wife dies

In these verse the Lord told Ezekiel that he would take away his hearts desire and not to mourn, just groan quietly. Ezekiel says he spoke to the people in the morning and in the evening his wife died. He did as command the next day. He let them know that the Lord was going to take away the things that they desired, their strong hold and they won’t be able to mourn but only let out a groan and waste away. And then they will know that he is the sovereign God. The Lord told Ezekiel when this happen he will send a message and Ezekiel will then be able to speak. until then Ezekiel was only able to speak when he was speaking the word of the Lord.

As a Prophet we learned earlier in this book that you will feel what you prophesy if you prophesy hunger then you will know and feel hunger. we also learned that a prophets main job is to show and warn people of what’s to come. so If the Lord says you will go through pain, the prophet that tells you is going to know what you are about to go through to prepare you and deliver the message clear. One thing I am learning about God is; there are know surprises he’s not sneak so what you go through if you listen you’ll know it’s coming, one of the problems with the faithless is that they never want to hear the truth they like whitewash (cover up to a broken foundation). Ezekiel had to go through his wife’s death without a mourning period he was on assignment and had to show the house of Israel exactly how the will have to act when the start losing things that the valued.

Now for the most Important part., If you are looking for Salvation google, download the free bible app or turn your bible to Roman 10:9 confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that he died for our sins and God raised him from the dead you shall be saved. Get yourself into the word and begin your relationship with the one who loves you unconditionally.

Be Blessed

Ezekiel Chapter 23 Two adulterous sisters

In this chapter the Lord tells the story of Samaria and Jerusalem and how we get to their destruction.

full chapter

the Lord tells Ezekiel that there were two daughters of the same mother. They became prostitutes The older sisters name was Oholah and her sister was Oholibah. In this story Oholah represents Samaria and Oholibah Represents Jerusalem. The Lord says to Ezekiel that Oholah engaged in prostitution while she was still his,she lusted after her lovers Assyrian warriors. She gave herself to the elite of the Assyrians and defiled herself with all the idols of everyone she lusted after.

The Lord says therefore I handed her over to her lovers and the stripped her naked and took away her sons and daughters, and killed her with the sword. she became an example among women

The Lord said her sister Oholibah saw what happened to Oholah yet she went down the road of prostitution. She was more corrupt than her sister. Oholibah also lusted after Assyrians elite and the Lord said that he saw her defile herself; both of them went the same way.

The Lord said that Oholibah took it even further she saw Babylonians and began to lust after them. She sent a messenger to them in Chaldea and they came to her, to her bed of love and in their lust they defiled her. The Lord says after she had been defiled she turned from them in disgust. The Lord says he turned from her in disgust, just as he had turned from her sister. And still she became more and more promiscuous thinking about the day she was a prostitute in her younger days in Egypt.

The Lord says that he will stir up her lovers against her. The Lord says that it will be his anger and they will punish her. He will put a stop to her lewd behavior and prostitution that had began in Egypt. you will not look to these things anymore he said.

The Lord says to Oholibah (Jerusalem) I am about to hand you over to the ones you hate those that you turned from in disgust. They will deal with you in hatred and take everything that you worked for. Because you have lusted after the nations and defiled yourself with their idols. you have gone the way of your sister so i put her cup in your hand.

The Lord declares to Jerusalem that destruction and sorrow will come her way just has it came for Samaria, and Jerusalem will suffer every drop

The Lord asks Ezekiel to Judge Oholah and Oholibah for committing Adultery with their Idols and for defiling his sanctuary, for sacrificing his children to the Idols. The Lord says that Jerusalem invited men from far aways and enticed them prepared for them and offered up incense and oils that belong to him.

The Lord said a mob will come against her and cause destruction this will put down and end the lewdness and prostitution.

In this chapter the Lord has Ezekiel tell the people of Jerusalem why they are being handed over. In the story of the two sisters the Lord shows how they gave them selves up without any concern for him. Forming alliances with godless nations, and being lewd by desire to have things. We must be careful, I always wondered where the term ” I serve a Jealous God” comes from. In this chapter we see his Jealousy, we see haow upset he is. He loves us so much and angers when we put things desires before him. The christian walk can be a hard thing to do. We must remember he is our provider and our strength. we must be ready to put our faith in him and not try to control with our desires remember the enemy lures through desires. be ready to rebuke the enemies entice of desires, and call him out. At that moment God will show up. God Bless You

Now for the Important part, Google, download the free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead you shall be saved. Get in to the word and allow God to reveal himself, start a relationship with the one who will never leave you. who wants to love and provide for your every need.

The Lord says when two or more are joined in prayer he is there. Now Let’s get in to the word.

Ezeiel Chapter 22  Jerusalem sins

verse 1- 5

The Lord asks Ezekiel to judge the city of Jerusalem for all her detestable things, and then say to them the Lord says; the blood shed and idol worshiping has caused you to be at your end. The Lord say that he will make you the laughingstock and an example for all nations.

The Lord has Ezekiel tell Jerusalem exactly why they are about to go through their time and what will come. They are to be judged for their actions.

verse 6 – 12

In these verses the Lord says that through the Princes of Israel; you all have treated your parents bad; you have treated a visitor bad, the fatherless and widows. You have not honored the holy things and have desecrated the Lords sabbaths. you have slandered and killed. You have eaten at the mountain shrines and committed lewd acts. you have violated women during their period of unclean ceremony, detestable acts to your neighbor’s wife, your fathers daughters. Your men have accept bribes and you have forgotten me.

In these verses the Lord says here are your crimes, this is why, here is your wrap sheet. All these things you have done without even thinking about me the Lord. As I read down the list I shook my head, because these are the things that we are seeing now. bribery, infidelity has become entertainment not only are we seeing these things in the streets we are seeing them praised on TV honored in what would be called our favorite shows. All the things that God detest. For entertainmentreasons we are indulging .

verse 13 – 16

The Lord says that he will clap his hands together at the unjust and gain. The Lord asks will you have courage against me?  Will your hand be strong in the day I deal with you? I will scatter you and put an end to your uncleanliness.

Listen real quick, the Lord has dealt with the bullies. He says will you be strong then. you’re doing all this destruction and killing taking a life that I saw fit to give. Your sharing and teaching how to be detestable, how to worship Idols and cover things that you should not be covering. Let me see if you are that bad, when my wrath is upon you. My God, My God he says I am going to scatter you and where you are scattered you will despised. Glory to God  and I will put an end to your uncleanliness and then you will know I AM LORD. Hallelujah!!!!!!!!

verse 17 – 22

In these verses the Lord says to Ezekiel tell them that the house of Israel is worthless to me and because you have become worthless I will let off my anger and wrath I will put you inside the city and melt you like silver in a furnace. and then you will know I am Lord.

In this time there will be heat and no rain or showers a drougt Ezekiel 22:24

verse 23 – 29

The Lord says to Ezekiel tell them that their princes devour and tear people like lions to their prey. their prophets are false  destroying people, making widows out of women teaching that their’s no difference between clean and unclean. they disrespect my holy things. They kill to make unjust gain, the prophets Whitewash (cover up and don’t build a foundations). They oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the strangers.

here’s the part we need to think about, Praise Jesus that we don’t go through the clean and unclean practices we thank Jesus for his sacrifice that in him we may go to the Lord clean. Next is whitewashing if you just started the study, whitewashing is when a prophet doesn’t build you up but just cover up or give you unsound word so that when trouble comes you crumble instead of stand on the word of God.  Your foundation should be strong enough that  if trouble is coming your way you are not consumed in when it’s going to hit.  You are focused on God and how he is covering you through it. You may say it’s easy to say that when you are not living it. And I say think about Jesus on that boat sleep and everyone was afraid of the storm yet Jesus was resting and when they woke him up he command the storm to GO. That’s what we have to rest on Gods word that we have the Authority given by ABBA to tell the storm to GO to get beneath thee tell your storm to GO, GO, GOGOGO. Hallelujah I don’t know who that’s for but tell your storm to Go.

verse 30 -31

The Lord says that he looked before the men to find someone who could stand in the Gap before him and he found none. and so he will pour out his wrath and consume them with his fiery.

Listen before he set off his wrath he said he looked for someone who would stand in the Gap. this reminds me when Abraham stood in the gap in Genesis 18 for Sodom and he says to the Lord will you destroy the righteous with the wicked and the Lord says to Abraham for the sake of ten, I will not destroy it. Are you willing to stand in the gap on the behalf of your people. are you willing to be Abraham for your Sodom. We are living in a day that we are blessed that God is a man of his word. It reminds me also of Daniel, Daniel did not pray for himself he prayed and fast on behalf of his people. When you go to the throne next time go on behalf of your Israel on behalf of your Sodom. Because they need us to stand in the gap more than ever.

Now for the most Important part If you are looking for Salvation turn your bible, google, or download the free bible app and go to Romans 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you shall be saved. get in to the word start with Genesis, or Ezekiel where ever the page stops and get in to the word allow Jesus toi cover you during your storm so that you can build your authority to tell storm to GO  Glory to God.

Ezekiel 21 Babylon God’s sword of judgement

verse 1- 7

The Lord says to Ezekiel to tell Jerusalem that he will draw his sword from its scabbard ( a holder for a sword) and cut both the righteous and wicked from her. His sword will be put out against everyone from the south to the north. He tells Ezekiel to let out a groan before them with a broken heart and bitter grief. The Lord says because of the news that is coming every heart will melt and everyhand will go limp. Every spirit will become faint and every knee will become weak as water.

The Lord tells Ezekiel to let out a groan oto warn Jerusalem of the pain and heart ache that is coming. God always sends warnings to us of what’s to come, the question is are we willing to listen. we learned early in this book that the prophets job is to warn us is to prophesy what’s to come.

verse 8 – 12

The Lord told Ezekiel to prophesy and say a sword sharpened for the slaughter, polished to flash like lightning. the sword is made ready for the hand of the slayer. the Lord tells Ezekiel to cry out and wail. against the people and princes of Israel. they will be thrown to the sword. the Lord tells Ezekiel to beat his chest.

The Lord tells Ezekiel to warn Israel of the mourning that’s to come. The sword will be against the rulers and the people.

verse 13 -17

The Lord tells Ezekiel that there will be testing and if the ornament of Judah does not continue. the Lord tells Ezekiel to strike his hands together, three times. this will symbolize the sword for slaughter closing in on them from every side. made to flash like lightning. the Lord say that he will also strike his hands together and this will stop his wrath.

verse 18 – 24

The Lord told Ezekiel to mark out two roads for the sword of the king of Babylon to take. one road for the sword to come against Rabbath of the Ammonites and another for Judah and Jerusalem. He says the king will stop at a fork in the road and cast lots, and consult his idols. The Lord says because Israel has done their rebellion in the open and revealed their sins they will be taken captives.

verse 25 – 32

The Lord tells Ezekiel tp tell the prince of Israel to take off his turban and crown, the low will be exalted and the exalted. The Lord say he will not restore it until it comes to whom it rightfully belongs to. The sword will be laid on the necks of the wicked wha are to be slain. who’s time of punishment has reached it’s climax. In the place where they were created in the land of their ancestry he will judge them, pour out his wrath upon them  remembered no more for He the Lord had spoken.

In this Chapter God hands the house of Israel over to the Babylon king, as many died and the prince was taken capture by Nebuchadnezzar. The Lord shows that He has control over what happens even using people who do not pray to him. when he says the Babylon king will cast lots and consult his idol. yet the Lord set that up. as Ezekiel drew it up, it will come to pass. When God has a plan he will use who he needs to bring forth his word. If the Lord tells you that you are going to be great at a certain thing no matter who is trying to stand in the way maybe they are standing there because it is not yet time for you to go pass maybe the lord stopped you so that he can move the people that’s needed in position. It’s important not to give the enemy so much credit but give God the Glory and faith that he’s moving somethings around. Sometimes you can be praying for one thing and canceling out what God has prepared for you because your bring =ing in your will and not his will. Glory to God.

Now for the Important part, If you are looking for salvation and Looking to start a relationship with the sovereign God. Google, download the free bible app or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 confess with your mouth the Jesus is Lord and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead. You Shall be saved! Be Blessed

 Ezekiel Chapter 20 Rebellious Israel

verse 1 – 12

Ezekiel tells us in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day the elders came to inquire about the Lord and sat in front of him. He says that the word of the Lord came to him and the Lord said to tell the elders that he won’t let them inquire about him. The Lord asks Ezekiel would he judge the elders. He tells Ezekiel to confront them with all the detestable things that they have done. The Lord remembers on the day that he brought Israel from Egypt he swore to them he would bring them to a land that he sought out that flowed with milk and honey.

He said to them to get rid of the idols of Egypt that he is Lord their God. The Lord says to Ezekiel, but they didn’t listen and so he would pour out his wrath on them. For the sake of his name he kept from looking profaned (not sacred) he continued on with his word and gave them the decrees and Laws, and who obeys them will live by them. The Lord also says he gave them his sabbath as a sign between him and Israel, so they would know that He the Lord made them Holy.

Verse 1 – 12  Is a reminder that the Lord is not a liar. He made a promise to the people of Israel and he stuck by his word though he was angry he did not destroy the people of Israel he led them to the desert. Let’s remember he says he went ahead and gave them the decrees and Laws in the desert, and the man who obeys them will live by them. The Lord will not go back on his word he is not a man that he should lie. it’s what we do that saves us or kills us. what we do that puts us in the desert or the land of milk and honey.

verse 13 -20

In these verses the Lord says that the people of Israel rebelled against him, they didn’t follow his decree, and they didn’t keep His laws. They desecrated the sabbath. The Lord said; that he would pour out his wrath and destroy them in the desert. but the Lord said he wanted to do what would keep it from being profaned (ungodly) for his name sake. with lifted hands he swore that he would not bring them to the land he had given them. because they rejected his laws, defiled themselves, and were devoted to their idols. but he said to their children in the desert don’t follow your father keep the laws don’t defile yourselves with the idols.

Still with an open heart when he realized that the adults were not going to do as he told them, they were to stuck in their ways and blinded to the idols, the Lord still gave their descendants the chance to be in the place he promised them.

Verses 21 – 29

In these verses the Lord says that the children of Israel rebelled as well defiling themselves not following the decrees or laws. The Lord says he said to them in the desert that he would scatter them through the countries because they had not obeyed his laws. The Lord says he gave them over to statutes that were not good and ltaws they could not live by. he let them become defiled by their gifts to the statutes – the sacrifice to every firstborn. he says that he will fill them with horror so that they know he is Lord.

The Lord says to Ezekiel tell the people of Israel when he brought there fathers in to the land, they found a high hill and a leafy tree and offered sacrifices and burned incense and poured out drink offerings provoking his anger and the Lord says he asked what is this high place you go ( it is called Bamah to this day)

Even waiting, idol worshiping went from generation to generation and every time the Lord tried to give the descendants a chance for his promise to pass they still would find an idol. when the go in to the land the went to Bamah and gave offering that would provoke the Lord to anger.

verse 30 – 38

The Lord tells Ezekiel to ask the people of Israel, will they defile themselves like their fathers did and lust their vile images? The Lord wants to know should he let them inquire about him. He says as surely as I live I will not let you inquire about me.

The Lord says; they say they want to be like the people of nations that serve wood and stone. He says that he will outstretched his hands and rule with a mighty hand with outpouring wrath. The Lord says he will execute judgment on them as he did their fathers in the desert.

The Lord says he will tear them from those who rebel against him. he will bring them out of the land that they live, yet they will not enter Israel.

The Lord gives many chances for us to come to him, he is fighting for us and even though the were defiling and wanting to serve man-made Gods  the Lord was still preparing for them to recognize who he is, he now was pushing them to hardship and exile so that they can no who he is. Sometimes we have to go to the hard of hard in order to fall to our knees. Some are hardheaded like that.

verse 39 – 44

The Lord tells Israel that there will be a day that he will accept them there will be a day that they listen to his and there will be a day that they will no longer profane his holy name.

verse 45 – 49

The Lord tells Ezekiel to prophesy against the south and he says tell them that the Lord will set a fire that no one can put out and people will know that the Lord has kindled it. Ezekiel says to the Lord that they think he is only speaking in parables.

Ezekiel Chapter 19

Hello Everyone,

I pray that you all are in a great space that God is working on something very special with you and the anointing is all over it. In this Bible study we are going over the 19th chapter of Ezekiel. Let’s Thank the Lord for giving us another day to study his word and be in his presence as we go over this chapter. It’s good to have your bible when we go through the verses and if you don’t have a bible down load the free bible app so that you can go over the word later on.

My Name is Wilhelmina Lundy and I am a servant of the sovereign God. Some of the ways that I serve God is here on the bible study and Gods ministry Journey in praise you can find all the outlets on our Facebook page @journeyinpraise. Ezekiel Chapter 19

A lament for Israel’s Princes

verse 1 – 14

First for those who do not know Lament means grief or/and sorrow

In the 19th chapter of Ezekiel there are only 14 verse so I will not be breaking them up.

these verse the Lord tells Ezekiel to go to the princes of Israel and ask them if their mother was like a lion rearing up young lions she would teach one son and he would be successful and the nation would rise up and trap him and send him to Egypt. after that prince didn’t have success she would raise up another and he would be mighty and have a strong presence but then the nations would rise up and bring him to the king of Babylon, and put him in prison.

The Lord tells Ezekiel to tell the princes of Israel that their mother was like a vine in a vineyard. She was fruitful and full of branches because of abundant water, her branches were strong fit for a ruler’s scepter.

But it was uprooted in fury and thrown to the ground. It’s vines consumed by fire. No strong branch left on it.

If you haven’t guessed it this is the story that we learned in Chapter 17 this time the Lord is saying that the mother was a vine she nurtured, feed , and taught her sons how to be rulers the first cub Jehoahaz The King of Judah( who was taken captive by Egypt 609B.C) Next the second cub Jehoiachin (who was taken captive in Babylon) then Zedekiah was planted as ruler and reached to Eygpt and withered its vines them burning by the east wind (the Babylon a)

As Parents we look at these little people and we rear them to be all that they can be. we want them to be successful and concur anything that tries to come in their paths. For the mother of the Kings of Judah yes she made sure her sons learned well enough to be great but yet it would be the actions of their nation who would hand them over to their enemy. This story being a Lament for Israel.

Now for the Important part if you are looking for salvation google, download the free bible app or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead you shall be saved. Get in to the word and enjoy a relationship with sovereign God.

Ezekiel Chapter 18

Happy Monday Everyone,

I pray that you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed a bit of time to yourself. It is important to the betterment of you that you take a moment to build yourself. make some time to just sit with God and wait for him to give you instruction.

For those who do not know my name is Wilhelmina Lundy and I am a servant of God. Some of the ways that I serve the Lord is through this bible study blog. This is where I come to you guys with the word of the Lord so that we can spend sometime with God. Romans 1:17 tells us in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed,  a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written, the righteous will live by faith. This tells us through the word, God will reveal himself and build our faith. Glory to God. Next is the Journey In Praise ministry where you can find me on FaceBook (@journeyinpraise), periscope (@WilhelminaLundy) and YouTube @(journeyinpraise) Itunes (@journeyinpraise) and soundcloud (@journeyinpraise) at these outlets you can find me speaking the word of the Lord, and last but not least the prayer wall If you would like to be added to the prayer wall you can email me at fromsinnertosaint103@gmail.com. Now let’s get in to the word.

Ezekiel chapter 18

The soul who sins will die

verse 1 -3

Ezekiel says the word of the Lord came to him and said ” what do you people mean when you quote the proverb ‘The father’s eat sour grapes and the children’s teeth are set on edge’ ” the Lord says’ “surely as I live you will no longer quote this proverb in Israel. for every living soul belongs to me, the father as well as the son – both alike be long to me.The  soul who sins is the one who will die.

The Lord says in these voices know the son wont reap the father’s actions but you all belong to me everyone is responsible for his on salvation so weather our fathers walked upright or sinned has nothing to do with what we will have to face. you sin you die.

verse 5-9

The Lord says that a man who is walking upright and follows his decrees, who treat people with honesty and respect, and gives to the poor is a man who will surely live. Glory to God.

The Lord reminds us that we are here to do right and live unpunished walking in his way and listening to his voice knowing right from wrong and abiding by them treating our brethren fair and giving to those who have not.

verse 10-13

Tells us that a man who sins and does detestable things will surely die his blood will be on his own head. he knew right from wrong.

verse 14 – 17

The 14th verse starts out saying suppose a son sees all the sins of his father, and even though he see’s them he doesn’t commit them he will not die for his father’s sins he will live for living upright.

Verse 18 -20

These’s verses say to us the righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him. A son who is seeing to it that he follows the laws and Decrees of God s=hould not have to pay for his fathers sins, his father will die for his own sin.

verse 21 – 24

The Lord says to Ezekiel If a wicked man changes his ways and stops sinning then he will live none of the sins that he committed will be remembered . If a righteous man turns away from his righteousness then he will not live and none of his righteous acts will be remembered. He is more pleased when the wicked changes his ways and lives then the Death of the wicked.

Verse 25- 32

The Lord address Israels opinion that he is unjust reminding them that he will save the life of a man who was wicked and decided to turn from all the wicked things he did and save his life. why shouldn’t the man who was righteous die after being righteous and then turning to wicked. He willingly decided that he didn’t want to follow the laws of God.

Ezekiel  chapter 17 The eagles and a vine

verse 1-6

The Lord to Ezekiel to make a picture and tell the house of Israel a parable. The Lord wanted Ezekiel to tell them about an eagle with powerful wings came to Lebanon. He took off the top of a cedar and carried it to a land of merchants, and planted in a city of traders. He took some of the seeds of their land and planted it in fertile soil where there was a lot of water. It became a low spreading vine which produced branches with leafs on them.

The study bible and the amplified bible says that the eagle here represents Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. Sometimes when we are about to go through something or going through something God will let what we think our worst fear come in and take over. yet it’s our set up for our come up if we just be still.

verse 7 – 10

The Lord tells Ezekiel to say but there was another great Eagle, and the vine sent out his roots toward him for water, from where it was plotted. the vine had already been planted in good soil around a lot of water so that it can produce good fruit and become a splendid vine. The Lord tells Ezekiel to say to them Will the vine thrive? Will it not be uprooted and stripped of its fruit so that it withers? All of its new growth will wither, when the east wind blows ( Hot dry wind blowing off of the desert).

this parable reminds me sometimes we may not be in the place that we want to be but we will be in the place that we will learn the most. trying to find water somewhere else and we are surrounded be water that we think isn’t good enough. let’s move on

verse 11 -15

The word of the Lord came to Ezekiel and says to Ezekiel ask them if they still don’t know what these things mean?He says that the King of Babylon went to Jerusalem and carried off her king and nobles, he took a member of the royal family and made a treaty with him, putting him under oath. He also carried away the leading men of the land, so that the kingdom would be brought low, unable to rise again, surviving only by keeping his treaty. But the king rebelled against him by sending his envoys to Egypt to get horses and a large army. will he succeed? will he who does such things escape? Will he break the treaty and yet escape?

To answer the Lords questions we learn from the vine that he will wither from the blow of the east wind. It makes me think of the saying your word is your bond. know matter what you don’t like about the circumstances if you make an agreement them you stay true to your word. all a man as is his word it describes his character.

verse 16- 24

The Lord says as surely as he lives, he shall die. In the land of the king who put him on the thrones whose oath he despised and whose treaty he broke. The Lord has Ezekiel tell the house of Israel that Zedekiah ( the member of the royal family that Nebuchadnezzar put on the throne)  will die because he did not keep his word he despised the oath by breaking the covenant. He gave his hand in a pledge, he made an agreement, and the Lord says he shall not escape. The says that he will bring his oath on the head of Zedekiah and he will be caught in the Lords net.The Lord says he will bring him to Babylon and execute judgment  upon him, the sword and the survivors will be scattered to the wind. At the end of this chapter the Lord says that he will break off the top of a cedar and plant it at the top of the mountain and it will produce branches and bear fruit and become a splendid cedar birds of every kind will nest in it, they will find shelter in the shade of its branches.

If you remember in chapter 16 yesterday we learned that the Lord said that Jerusalem lovers will tear her apart and he will let them so trying to plot against Nebuchadnezzar was going against the Lords convent. What he said would happen to Jerusalem God is not a man that he shall lie. The end of the chapter’s parable was God letting Israel know that Jesus will be coming and he will be the everlasting covenant between God and Jerusalem.

Praise God! Thank you for joining in to the bible study. Now for the Important part, If you are looking for salvation google, download the free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe with heart that God raised him from the dead you shall be saved.Began a wonderful relationship with the Sovereign God and allow him to do great things in your life.

Ezekiel chapter 16 An allegory of unfaithful Jerusalem ( a story of an unfaithful Jerusalem)

verse 1-5

The Lord tells Ezekiel to confront Jerusalem with their detestable practices and say. On the day that you were born no one looked at you with pity, no one washed you they put you in the fields. On the day you were born you were despised. The word tell us that Ezekiel was talking to the people who were born in the land of the Canaanites; their fathers were Amorite and their mothers were Hittites.

When reading this we would say that’s harsh.  but that’s how we come to God, lost and know where to turn. The Lord is talking to Jerusalem a place that was now full of people worshipping Idols.

Verse 6 -14

Ezekiel tells Jerusalem that the sovereign says; that he saw her as an infant laying in her own blood and he told her to live!  She grew like a plant becoming a beautiful jewel. The Lord says when he passed by and he saw that she was ready for love he took the corners of his garment and covered her nakedness. Putting gold earrings, bracelets and necklaces, becoming very pretty and rose to be queen. Her fame spread among the nations on account of her beauty because the splendor the Lord had given her made her beauty perfect.

The Lord puts his everything in us; Philippians 1:6 says, he completes a good work that he began. so when he is completing a good work he is building us with a solid foundation making us beautiful. When we are beautiful from the Lords work some may get a lot of attention because their glowing from his splendor. What you do at this point is the important part.

verse 15 – 29

The Lord says; but then she used her beauty and fame to become a prostitute. willing to  share yourself with anyone who came pass. giving your beauty to him and not God. She also took the fine jewelry he gave he and idols and engaged in prostitution with them. everything that I gave you, you gave to them (idols) You took the children that you bore to me and sacrificed to them as food. the Lord says was your prostitution not enough? you slaughter my children and sacrificed them. The Lord says you forgot when you were a youth and was kicking around in your blood.

The Lord tells Jerusalem that you then built shrines and was promiscuous with others that passed by. and so I stretched my hand against you and reduced your territory. I gave you over to the greed of your enemies, the daughters of the Pallistines, who were shocked by your lewd conduct. The Lord says that Jerusalem was greed and not satisfied and continued to allow different nations to come in and worship their idols.

Just like Jerusalem we Know that God has set us on high but we will tend to put other things in front of his. we will do anything to get what we want and need and move the lord to the side. Jerusalem was made beautiful and then forgot where her loyalty lay. she was ready to bring in people who caused the death of the Israelites that worshiped God. hurt he says you slaughtered my children. lets continue

Verse 30 – 48

In these verses Ezekiel tells Jerusalem that the Lord says that he will strip her in front of the lovers that she loved and the lovers that she hated and allow them to tear her apart. He says that he will put a stop to prostitution and she will no longer pay for her lovers. The Lord tells Ezekiel to remind Jerusalem that she didn’t remember the days of her youth.

The Lord then tells Ezekiel to say to Jerusalem like mother like daughter. like your mother you despise your husband and children. We learn that Jerusalem mother is Hittite, father Amorite, older sister Samaria and younger sister Sodom.

In these verses I can feel the Lords hurt. feeling betrayed by someone you love. He watched Jerusalem grow. He breathed life into her only to watch her betray him. Not keeping a relationship. In our walk with God and as we build an intimate relationship with him this is something we need to keep in mind. Not to hurt him again, but grow in our relationship. Not to prostitute ourselves to the things we want but to only have eyes for the Lord. Gory to God!

verses 49 – 63

In these Verse the Lord delivers the message to Jerusalem that he will restore what he has taken away from her and her sisters but she will be ashamed of herself every time she thinks about it, every time she opens her mouth. He tells Jerusalem that she has done worst then her sister Sodom who did not help the poor and needy, he says that Jerusalem has made her sisters seem righteous.

Again we are grateful for Jesus who has died for our sins. When we think about the Lords anger we can’t help but notice the passion and love. The pain of being betrayed. as we walk in our relationship with the Lord  it’s important to think bout this chapter. God wants to make us beautiful but not for others for himself. So as God is doing a good work in you don’t be led astray don’t make him jealous. God Bless You guys

Now for the important part, if you are looking for salvation google, download the free bible app or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and God raised him from the dead you shall be saved. get in to the word and began your relationship with the Sovereign Lord and allow him to do a God work in you. Okay, let’s get in to the word

Ezekiel Chapter 15 Jerusalem, a useless vine

verse 1 – 5

Ezekiel tells us that the word of the Lord came to him and said: Son of man, how is the wood of a vine better than any branch on a tree in the forest? Is wood ever taken from it to make anything useful? Do they make pegs from it to hang things on?And after it is thrown on the fire as fuel and the fire burns both ends and chars the middle, is it then useful for anything? If it was not useful for anything when it was whole, how much less can it be made into something useful when the fire has burned it and it is charred?

Lets look at the vine as a person who is broken and then they go about their life not seeking God but sinning and going after anything that is not of God. that is how we look at a charred useless vine. broken down and burned out. God can’t do anything for you if you are sitting in the fire.

verse 6 – 8

Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: As I have given the wood of the vine among trees of the forest as fuel for the fire, so will I treat the people living in Jerusalem. I will set my face against them. Although they have come out of the fire, the fire will yet consume them. And when I set my face against them you will know that I am Lord. I will make the land desolate because they have been unfaithful declares the Sovereign.

The Lord says he turns his face against the people of Jerusalem. that is how he sees them useless. This is one of the reasons we repent for unknown and known sin when we pray. when we send up our prayers to God we want them to smell sweet as burnt offering not charred vines. we want to be faithful to the sovereign and if we can’t because for a moment we were weak than we want to repent for those sins. Glory to God ! we are thankful for Jesus Christ that we can go to the father. Amen!

Now for the important part, If you are looking for Salvation google, download the free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans 10:9 and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved.Amen! get yourself in to an amazing relationship with the Sovereign Lord, study the word of God and allow the Sovereign to move in your life. God Bless you
